We’ve been waiting for this for a long time. Today, no one doubts if we are alone in the universe. Not alone!
Half a century ago humankind celebrated the first contact.
Trade ships of extraterrestrial race flew to the Earth. Good guests, gift-giving benefactors, curious researchers, they disappeared as suddenly as they turned up.
After a dozen years they returned. Mighty warriors, wise teachers, they opened the eyes of scientists to the nature of things, defeated hunger, provided the military with the most state-of-the-art equipment. Then they flew away again and Second Contact was over.
Twenty years ago they arrived for the third and last time. We call this day the Day of Hate and Sorrow. Cruel rulers, indifferent dictators, soldiers who knew no mercy, this time they stayed, turning almost all of mankind into slaves. Almost.
The underground international association, called the Institute, began developing an unprecedented project of liberation. The "Odyssey project".
