This game is supposed to be an “interactive” and “healing” game when half of the time I’m bored watching an ad just to continue whatever quest I’m fulfilling in game. You can’t advertise as game as interactive when to play the game is to watch ads essentially. ### 4/5 — Lovely game but too many unrealistic fish *2026-07-28, version 1.97.0* I really love this game it’s very relaxing and the progression doesn’t feel frustrating. However i feel as if the game is focusing on hundreds of fantasy themed fish when I play it for semi realistic relaxing aquariums. Freshwater also feels really underdeveloped it’s been in the game for a while and has no fusion or decoration. Downloaded again recently, but I can’t help but notice the amount of ads and payments in the game and how expensive they are for a mobile game. In my most recent return I have found the game has been flooded with micro (and some macro) transactions. I don't mind a game having these but it feels like they're being shoved in my face. As well as this, to be able to get the event rewards, you shouldn't need to pay. It is a once a year event, maybe a few events a year. I got really far into AbyssRium Pole and when it was taken down I was really sad but found comfort in coming back to this version. I still really miss AbyssRium Pole and hope they bring it back someday but in the meanwhile I’ve enjoyed playing this version. ### 4/5 — Cute but hard to progress *2026-05-07, version 1.95.0* First of all, the new update is super glitchy I can’t even play the game. The buttons don’t work so hopefully that gets fixed soon. So many of the event themes and special fish have nothing to do with the ocean which is weird, why would I want a corgi or human being or lollipop swimming around my aquarium? After a certain point (especially in the freshwater tank) it’s almost impossible to get a new fish or level up your coral because it’s so expensive compared to the amount of vitality you have. ### 3/5 — Would have been 5 stars *2026-04-20, version 1.94.0* I used to play this game years ago and it was a favorite. I recently redownloaded it again and the ads are extremely overwhelming now. I don’t remember them being this obnoxious before as I was never previously annoyed or put off from playing the game. I’m attached to the good memories so keep trying to play despite the frequent nonstop agonizingly long ads that force you to interact with them for several minutes. The art direction and music are lovely. This game would literally be 5/5 if only the advertisements were not so overwhelming, it currently really ruins the experience. ### 5/5 — Amazing *2026-02-08, version 1.92.0* Really all I have is love for this game. But in the AbyssRuim they are rather flat and poorly constructed. It would greatly improve the game to have all models between versions match. ### 3/5 — disappointed - i wanted to love it *2026-01-19, version 1.91.2* although it’s beautiful, this is honestly not an app that you can have a truly enjoyable experience on if you’re looking for a free game. to make any progress at all you must use this app as an ads watcher. the only reason i gave it another try was because i wanted to complete the new year event for the nessie, but after dealing with ad after ad to be able to get to the final step to earn it… it’s revealed you need to enter a paid subscription to finish the last part of the event. the first portion of it was all doable, but in the end? you must pay for an item to unlock the first fish in like a chain of 12 (half of which force you to use microtransactions if you want to realistically get them before the event is over) before you can even qualify for the nessie. this is heaven for microtransactions, subscriptions, and advertisements. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Just another money grab *2026-08-01, version 1.97.0* I used to love this game back in like 2019. I just remembered it a few days ago and redownloaded. I was having so much fun with it until I realized the feature where you can hold the screen down to generate vitality (the Midas touch buff) was only a temporary feature that they give you so you become reliant on it, and then take it away in hopes you’ll pay to get it back. They give you the option to watch ads for the buff but it only lasts for three minutes. This game is supposed to be relaxing, not another job. The waiting is the work, not physically having to wear out my fingers or pay for something that should already be a game feature. I would be willing to generate so much ad revenue for you guys if you would let me watch a few ads for a days worth of Midas touch. But now I’m mad that another company is trying to manipulate me into spending money on a game that is supposed to be leisurely. Sadly going to have to stop playing after 5 days of labor on it. ### 1/5 — Once great, not sure what happened,,, *2026-05-13, version 1.95.1* This game had a lot of potential, but it has become a complete and utter cash grab. I have watched it slowly become more and more money hungry. The increased micro transactions have made the game incredibly frustrating. When this game first began, it had only a few and they were completely optional. You could still collect all the regular and fusion fish without paying. Now, we have the baby spotted seal and the baby leatherback turtle packs. Now, in order to get all the fusion fish, you must give the game at least $4. I was hoping this was some limited time event, but it seems to be permanent. And this is after years of the amount of micro (at this point, more like macro) transactions rising and rising. I will no longer be playing this game. I am so saddened by the constant micro transactions. The fish library used to be finishable without them. Now they are not. Recently I tried downloading it again. It refuses to let me start new. I want a fresh start but it gives nowhere for me to delete my account. I even went into phone settings and deleted all data. Once loading it up after that it at first behaved like a new save for a few seconds before immediately changing me back to that old account because of their own info. There are no options to work with my account. There are so many popups trying to get you to buy things, a good chunk of the screen is taken up by 'buy things' icons that you can't get rid of. It's now just an app to watch adverts for like 3 other games to get some currency to be able to do anything in the events. AND it suddenly wiped a whole day's worth of progress including all the materials I used.
