### 3/5 — It’s okay - Very few real videos

*2026-04-01*

Most of the “videos” are slideshows with AI voiceovers. Or videos with AI voiceovers. The voiceovers are creepy/uncanny, and though you can mute them, I struggle to understand why that feature exists to begin with.

It’s nice that it shows you transit stops, gyms, etc nearby, but unfortunately it can’t give you travel/commute time estimates like Zillow can. I think transit stops only show underground/train stations, and not bus stops for some reason.

I think maybe the aim here was to release something bare bones and then update it. Not ideal for lower-budget renters.

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2026-03-04*

This app is going to be so helpful for SOO many people. It’s very easy to navigate and can’t wait till there’s more listings!!

### 5/5 — Convenience

*2026-03-04*

So convenient and easy to use! I love that I can set my preferences and even my budget!

### 5/5 — EFFICIENT

*2026-03-04*

I always dread having to apartment hunt, but this made it easy. Instead of doom scrolling on TikTok I scrolled on different apartments and booked a few tours! This app… WOW!!

### 5/5 — THE Gen-Z Rental App

*2026-03-04*

TAP is truly an app created for Gen-Z in mind- the design and UI are great so much better than Zillow and outdated websites like Craigslist. I value how the founders only just launched and are fixing bugs, taking feedback, and implementing fixes as soon as possible. Can’t wait to find the apartment of my dreams 🥳

### 5/5 — Great Resource

*2026-03-04*

The App just hit the app store and is already off to a great start! Very EASY to navigate and likely one of the SAFEST ways to get an apartment right now!

### 1/5 — App sucks

*2026-02-25, version 1.0.2*

Bad app that doesn’t provide any value. Stick to Zillow. The filters don’t work, there’s no map view and you can only see one apartment listing at a time. The swipe up feature instead of showing a list is dumb and not a good way of viewing. They keep showing me apts in areas I’m not interested in (like the tenderloin). They show me a $8900/mo apt when I set my filter to $5.5k.

### 1/5 — Super slow, doesn’t filter!

*2026-02-17*

It doesn’t show you what you filter, and it’s only showing me places outside the area I requested to search, even after I adjusted my budget. Also very slow and laggy.

### 5/5 — Love this app 💛

*2026-02-16*

The easiest way to find your next home in San Francisco. Whether it’s a house, apartment, or room - TAP makes the search simple and stress free. Go ahead and TAP the Install button :)

### 2/5 — UI issue

*2026-02-13*

They should have gotten a better UI experience before rolling it out. The filtering wasn’t working and they should create a map view with the apartments so you don’t have to go through to many unrelated spots.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t create account

*2026-07-09, version 1.1.7*

I can’t even sign in with a new account?? I tried all 3 sign in methods and they all shows me errors

### 1/5 — can’t use the app

*2026-07-09, version 1.1.7*

the app won’t let me log in. there’s multiple ways to log in and errors keep popping up. can’t use the app if you don’t log in

### 1/5 — Cannot customize search

*2026-06-20*

This app is terrible. You can’t even set a preference for square footage so I’m over here scrolling thru apartments that are 50% the size I want and I can’t filter them out. The videos are janky, it should just be photos. And there’s barely even any apartments on the app. It’s very disappointing overall.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2026-06-09, version 1.1.4*

Omg this app is the worst! The UI is horrible, no map feature and it uses the most awful AI voiceovers it’s so cringey. There’s no way this will ever actually help the housing crisis.

### 1/5 — Agents ghost too? Haha

*2026-04-30, version 1.0.16*

There aren’t much listings which is fine, but guys stop with the scammy unprofessional agents Anglo from Noe Valley specifically. This ain’t a dating app, you don’t need to ghost your appointments

### 1/5 — Dont recommend

*2026-04-13, version 1.0.13*

Nothing on this works. The filters don’t work and is so buggy

### 1/5 — Sucks

*2026-04-01, version 1.0.13*

Have to give personal info, terrible listings, just use Zillow or Craigslist

### 1/5 — No map

*2026-03-18, version 1.0.10*

No map or filter search, app sucks don’t download

### 1/5 — An app that isn’t needed

*2026-03-03*

I don’t understand the need for this all or how it competes with the many apartment search platforms that already exist.

When I search for a specific location, it shows me apartments scattered across the city instead of prioritizing the area I actually want. That alone makes it frustrating to use. On top of that, the whole scrolling model feels like a poor fit for apartment hunting. Finding a place to live is a major decision, it shouldn’t feel like mindless scrolling. Overall, the concept feels disconnected from what renters actually value in the search process.

### 1/5 — insanely bad UI

*2026-02-25*

this app tries to turn apartment hunting into a tiktok-style feed, probably to try and replicate the creator's tiktok success. however tiktok's UI is significantly more usable. for this app you put your criteria in, then you see a feed of short form videos of different apartment tours. the algorithm shows you listings it thinks you'll be interested in, except they don't strictly match the map or criteria; instead they show a percentage match to your preferences.

there's no hard filters for non negotiables, and there's no map view or listings view. instead you just have to scroll through videos that you can't speed up searching for one that actually works. it's just endless scrolling instead of structured filtering and control. this is genuinely a waste of your time, i'd rather use craigslist or zillow.

also, in order to search with filters, you have to make an account. maybe they're trying to bump their number of users up or something idk. just a really really bad customer experience. honestly this app seems to be completely vibe coded because I don't understand how a developer could actually work on this without going insane lol

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So good!!!

*2026-08-28*

TAP helped me find my apartment in Oakland and get connected with my leasing agent! Made the process super quick and easy for me :)

### 5/5 — Super easy

*2026-08-10*

Shout out because I ended up actually finding my apartment on this app. I was able to schedule a lot of appointments easily and my strategy was scheduling as many as possible. I found the map view to be helpful In showing me what the different neighborhoods could get me for my budget since I wasn’t familiar with the market.

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2026-05-21*

I really love the videos for the apartments

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-03-07*

This app is great and innovative! I love the format and how enjoyable it is to scroll through and see these homes. I suggest giving it a go and TAP’n the download button! This app can also be very useful for people looking to rent out.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-03-06*

If you are a younger individual looking for an apartment and scrolling on social media- this is the app for you. The way they make the interaction as if it is a For You page is great. I do wish they had more options available but I know they are doing some more updates soon since they just started. This is a great way to communicate with your Realtor and also look at these apartments interactively!

### 5/5 — super easy to use

*2026-03-06*

I booked a tour to see a 1 bed/1 bath in Russian hill and it was extremely easy. I love that you can book a tour through the app automatically.

### 5/5 — Great tool for landlords and tenants

*2026-03-05*

As a landlord and property manager, TAP has been a really helpful new platform for leasing units.

The biggest advantages for me are how easy it is to post listings and communicate directly with prospective tenants. The scheduling feature is especially useful, applicants can book showings directly on my calendar without the usual back-and-forth messages trying to coordinate times.

The quality of applicants has also been strong. Even though the app just launched, I’ve already rented units to very qualified tenants through TAP.

Another thing I like is the video format. It gives prospective renters a much better feel for the space before scheduling a showing, which helps filter.

Excited to see how it continues to grow.

### 5/5 — Recommend :)

*2026-03-05*

Hello just wanted to say this app was very efficient and helpful for me. I definetly recommend this app to others in sf. It was so useful that I told my cousins about the app since their new here:)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-03-05*

This app is easy to use and helped me find an apartment fast.

### 5/5 — Innovative

*2026-03-05*

So far I’ve really enjoyed using the TAP app. It offers a refreshing way to view apartments through video and voiceover content, rather than just static images like most other apps. Plus, their social media is 10/10. That’s actually how I discovered the app. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone searching for their next apartment in the Bay Area.
