### 3/5 — Both locations were inaccurate.

*2025-09-04*

Tried two different water reviews and both told you to be in a zone that was not near the actual primo stand. One had me outside in the wood chip sales area and the other had me clear on the other side of another business. I did not get paid for being honest but both machines INSIDE the stores worked very well.

### 2/5 — Good idea...

*2022-07-07, version 3.0.1*

Needs lots more locations listed. Only seems to allow 'owners' of water to list locations which will result in locations being added very slowly to platform. And vastly under representing available drinking water sources. Too bad but I guess that's the business model.

Update 7/2022: they say they've updated their platform by adding thousands of fountains but most parks and other mini fountains in my County are still not listed.

### 4/5 — Sydney has taps

*2019-11-02, version 1.1.0*

Just an update to let everyone know there ARE now Aussie taps listed. At least in Sydney. There are probably a few missing (I noticed one in my local area) and there seem to be a few duplicates but at least it’s a start! The more people use it the better it will become.

### 2/5 — No public drinking fountains

*2019-08-26*

Wanted this for when I go biking or running. This app doesn’t include the hundreds of public drinking fountains all over the city. Thus would be fine if there was a way to suggest/verify refill locations as a user, but there isn’t. Not very useful at all at the moment since it only has a handful of businesses signed up. Might check back in another year.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. Tap has been updated with over 200,000 stations which includes public drinking fountains. There is also now a way to suggest/verify refill user locations.

### 2/5 — No taps in Australia

*2019-07-28, version 1.1.0*

There are no taps in Australia according to this app

### 3/5 — Please include the hundreds of countries outside the USA

*2019-07-25, version 1.1.0*

It’s a good idea but too America focused. It’s as if these people don’t realise there’s an entire world outside of America. I am in Australia and when I enabled location it showed me taps in New York. Maybe let users map local taps so you can expand and be useful worldwide.

### 3/5 — Love the idea but needs more countries

*2019-07-13, version 1.1.0*

I love that someone has come up with this but there is nothing listed in OZ. Maybe a feature that members can add locations like drinking fountains and businesses willing to refill also to help get the word out there.

### 4/5 — Good start

*2019-06-17*

I like that it does have searchable features and the fact that it does list so many locations. The one thing that frustrates me (and why I didn’t give the app 5 stars) is that I can’t add water locations. I know of several places I go to where you can fill up water bottles or drink from a water fountain. I have also encountered other places while out and about that could be useful to other Tap users. I truly hope they add this feature in the future.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. Tap has been updated with over 200,000 stations which includes public drinking fountains. There is also now a way to suggest/verify refill user locations.

### 3/5 — so far so meh

*2018-12-06*

I’m standing at a bottle refill station with a Tap App sticker on it but the station is not listed in the app. I’m excited for it to have some more potential. Maybe if users could submit location pins with pictures for proof it would be great. I hope this app is on its way to great.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. There is also now a way to submit refill locations.

### 3/5 — Need user feedback

*2018-11-08*

Cool concept, wish there was a way to review water taps (ease of accessibility, specific locations, quality of h2o, etc). Nice to have a list of locations but they have been a bit deceiving so far.

Crossing my fingers for future updates. 🤞🏻

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback, Hope. Tap has been updated with over 200,000 stations which includes public drinking fountains. Stations can be reviewed and we will continue to add features. There is also now a way to suggest/verify refill locations.

### 3/5 — Is it crowd sourced?

*2018-10-27*

I want to love this but can I add places as I find them to fill my water bottle? My local park has a water bottle refill station but it’s not on here. Right now it’s just all chain restaurants.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. Tap has been updated with over 200,000 stations which includes public drinking fountains. There is also now a way to suggest/verify refill locations like in your local park.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — It doesn’t seem to move off the loading page?

*2023-04-22*

Can’t get the app to open

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for letting us know. Could you please confirm which phone model you're on?

### 1/5 — Tap water

*2022-07-06, version 3.0.1*

Tried it in Denmark and all over Sweden. No places listed. Complete waste of money.

Note to developers. This is not my review. Trevor Howard

### 1/5 — Not tecogmended, Move on, Suspicious use of data.

*2022-07-03*

I was testing out apps to help homeless find water. They want way too much information from individuals already living in severe distress. Not very humane to with hold water for personal information

**Developer response:** The only information Tap collects for the iOS app is an email address and name, which is also disclosed by Apple. Anyone can visit www.findtap.com without any personal information to find places to refill. We do not with hold water for personal information as we do not dispense water.

### 1/5 — Fast food

*2020-09-01, version 1.1.0*

Literally was all fast food places

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. Tap has been updated with over 200,000 stations which includes public drinking fountains.

### 1/5 — Not an international app

*2020-01-02, version 1.1.0*

This app assumes that any restaurant with counter service is happy to refill anyone’s grubby water bottle (laughably naive) and doesn’t bother to list the public drinking fountains in even the very biggest European rail stations. Waste of phone space.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-07-29, version 1.1.0*

Installed it while in Italy - no results which was disappointing given that we were in major cities. Great idea, wanted it to work well.

### 1/5 — Good idea. But that's all.

*2018-10-26, version 1.0.0*

Only way to make this app actually usefull is to let user entries for the water refill spots. At current state it's just a good idea.

### 1/5 — No water store locations

*2018-10-24*

This app doesn’t show locations of any water stores that serve reverse osmosis, alkaline and ion-charged water. This is a big miss! Add those and only then will it be complete.

### 2/5 — No moor then one gallon!

*2024-05-07, version 3.0.17*

You can fill 8oz . No problem. Can fill up to 128 oz. Your good . HARD LINE IS YOU CAN NOT FILL NO MOOR THEN ONE GALLON! We fill 5 gallon refillable containers. Every 5 gallon container removes 40 - 16oz bottles from being used. We fill 6- 5 gallon containers every 7 days. Just for drinking. Guess we are going back to 16oz. That is 240 that we will put in to a land fill . It is cheaper to buy the 240 - 16oz bottles then to pay to fill 6 - 5 gallon bottles. App Is grate if you are filling a sippy cup out and about . Not much moor then that . App is not a real world application

### 2/5 — I just want to find a water station.

*2024-04-13*

Why does it open up to hydration data?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Would be nice to be able to add found water sources

*2019-06-30*

Nice app. Would be nice to be able to add water fountains found not on app. Like Libraries. My local library has a a fountain but it is not on your app. Please add an option for users to add a location. Thanks.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. Tap has been updated with over 200,000 stations which includes public drinking fountains and the ability for any user to add stations.

### 5/5 — So easy!🌟

*2019-02-13*

Perfect for any new destination where I want to travel with my water bottle and find places to go, even if it’s just a new part of down. Has even introduced me to some cool restaurants/cafes near me!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2019-01-23*

This app has made it so much easier for me to keep my reusable bottle filled when I’m out and about, and I love the sparkling water search filter. I’m not great with technology, and I’ve found this to be very user-friendly. Already recommended to at least 10 friends. Thanks for helping our planet! 😃

### 5/5 — Useful

*2019-01-23*

I use this all the time when I’m out and about and need to refill my water bottle. It’s straight to the point and helps me avoid buying plastic bottles. I love that I can specify that I want filtered water only and it shows me the best places. I’ve recommended it to my friends and now I recommend it to you!

### 5/5 — Tap is changing the world!

*2018-10-23*

This app will reduce the amount of plastic waste significantly.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2018-10-23*

Great app and works well! Perfect for hooking me up with tap water while out and about. Meets a need that was always annoying, and does it well. Gotta love avoiding the creation of more awful plastic waste in the world! Thanks Tap : )
