## What is TapCult?

How fast are you? TapCult is 21 quick reflex mini games that test your reaction time, your timing and your nerve. Three hearts, one run, one score to beat.

Tap to fill the ring. When it is full the screen goes dark and one challenge appears. Clear it and you score. Clear them back to back on the first try and a streak multiplies your points, up to three times. You get two tries at each one, and missing both costs a heart.

10 CHALLENGES FROM YOUR FIRST RUN
- Don't Blink: wait, then tap the moment it flashes
- Two-Step Reflex: tap START, then hit the green target
- Button Ambush: tap every popup before it hides
- Glitch Chase: tap the orb while it is bright
- Threshold Drop: tap as the bar crosses the line
- Tiny Margin: tap when the disc meets the ring
- Tap Defuse: tap fast enough to hit the count in time
- Rapid Fire: tap to keep the gauge in the band
- Hold Steady: hold the pad and keep the meter centred
- Spin Wheel: flick the wheel and stop it on the wedge

11 MORE TO UNLOCK
Your best score sets your rank, from Static up to Spectrum. New ranks open harder challenges: count down in your head, tap in the gaps of a beat, wait out a fake exit, or don't touch the screen at all.

SEE HOW FAST YOU WERE
- A result after every challenge, with the number where there is one: your reaction in milliseconds, how early or late you were, how many degrees you missed by
- Your best score, your rank and the points to the next one
- Challenges cleared and your peak streak at the end of every run

GOOD TO KNOW
- Every new challenge begins as an easy practice round that costs no hearts
- No account, no sign-in, no connection needed
- Sound and haptics, each with an off switch, and an optional daily reminder
- Free to play with ads. When a run ends you can choose to watch a short ad for one more heart, once per run

Download TapCult and find out how fast you are.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.1 — 2026-10-15

A clearer end to every run.

THE RUN-OVER CARD
Redesigned and more compact. It shows your score, your rank with a bar for how close you came to the next one, your best (or the old best you just beat), the challenges you cleared and your peak streak, and what the run unlocked or what the next rank opens.

TIDIER RULES CARDS
When a challenge's full rules run long, the card now grows to fit them, so its button keeps clear of the edge.

### 2.1.0 — 2026-10-10

Two tries at every challenge, and a calmer first launch.

TWO TRIES
Miss a challenge and it comes straight back behind TRY AGAIN, at no cost. Miss it a second time and it costs a heart. Your streak climbs on a first-try clear and holds through a retry; it resets only when a heart goes.

A CALMER FIRST LAUNCH
The first-launch questions now appear on the opening screen, before the game starts, instead of landing over your first taps. On iPhone and iPad that includes a new one: TapCult asks before ads may use your device's advertising identifier.

SMALLER THINGS
A lost heart now shows as it goes, in the challenge and back on the main screen. The gold surge after a clear is cleaner. The reminder time in Settings keeps up with quick taps, and you can hold a stepper to run through the hours.

FAIRER CHALLENGES
Tiny Margin now takes a tap anywhere on the screen. Spin Wheel no longer spends your one flick on a plain tap, and once the wheel is spinning the clock no longer cuts it short; nor does it cut Two-Step Reflex short once you have pressed START. Glitch Chase's orb is bigger, and every challenge now ends showing whether you won or lost, and why.

### 2.0.0 — 2026-09-29

TapCult 2.0 is a rebuild. The challenges are the ones you know; the game around them is new.

TAPS CHARGE, ANOMALIES PAY
Tapping Probe now fills a ring, and a full ring brings the next anomaly within seconds instead of after dozens of taps. Your score comes only from clearing challenges, and clearing them back to back builds a streak that multiplies each one.

A RUN WITH AN END
A missed challenge costs a heart instead of taps. Lose three and the run is over, with your score, your best and your rank. Ranks start fresh with the new scoring.

ALL 21 CHALLENGES
The eleven harder challenges that 1.2.0 never offered now open as your best run climbs the ranks: No Touch and Invisible Countdown at Static, all the way to False Exit at Coherence.

A PRACTICE ROUND FOR EVERY CHALLENGE
The first time you meet a challenge it is an easy practice round that costs no hearts. Miss it and you get the full rules.

SOUND, AND A NEW LOOK
TapCult has sound for the first time, and the rhythm challenges play to a beat. The game moves to a bright screen that goes dark only for the challenge. A new settings screen turns off sound, vibration or anonymous stats, and sets an optional daily reminder.

ADS
This version adds ads. When a run ends you can watch one for a second chance: one more heart, once per run. An occasional full-screen ad plays when you start a new run: never in your first few runs, never right after a new best, and never twice within a minute and a half.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-07-03

TapCult now matches the native game: tap to build signal, survive short anomaly challenges, earn signal surges on success, and climb through a cleaner arcade score loop.

### 1.1.0 — 2025-10-17

Improved UI + Various fixes
