## What is TAPEDECK4?

TAPEDECK4 turns your iPhone or iPad into a real four-track cassette recorder — the kind of "sound on sound" multitrack recording that shaped decades of bedroom demos, not a simulation of one.

RECORD AND OVERDUB
Arm any one of four tracks, hit PLAY, and record fresh audio while the other tracks you've already recorded play back underneath — perform along with your own earlier takes, one track at a time, exactly like a real 4-track deck.

REAL TAPE-DECK CONTROLS
• REW / FF — hold to scrub the tape while stopped, or tap while playing to cue and review at 2x/4x speed, just like a physical deck's transport.
• STOP — one tap halts right where you are; double-tap rewinds to the start.
• SPD — five speed detents, from quarter-speed up to 4x.
• REV — flip playback into reverse.
• Lo-Fi — a gritty, degraded cassette character you can switch on and off.
• GAIN — a five-step input trim for the microphone, with a clip warning so you know when you're driving it too hot.

MIX AS YOU GO
Every track gets its own volume, SOLO, and MUTE — solo any combination of tracks to isolate what you're working on, exactly like a real mixing console. A trash icon lets you erase just one track's recording without touching the others.

EXPORT YOUR MIX
Bounce all four tracks down to a single audio file with EXPORT — it bakes in whatever speed, reverse, and lo-fi settings you've got dialed in at the moment, so what you hear is exactly what you get. Share it straight from the built-in share sheet.

BUILT LIKE THE REAL THING
Spinning reels that wind and unwind as you record and play, a running tape counter, and a deliberately tactile, retro cassette-deck look — designed to feel like an object, not a spreadsheet of buttons.

COMPLETELY OFFLINE, COMPLETELY PRIVATE
TAPEDECK4 makes no network requests of any kind. Every recording and every export stays on your device, in your own Documents folder — nothing is ever collected, tracked, or sent anywhere.

Built for iPhone and iPad, in landscape, so the whole deck fits on screen at once.
