## What is TapelineCalc Construction Calc?

TapelineCalc is a feet-inch-fraction calculator for people who work in them. Every result is exact rational arithmetic - no floating point anywhere a measurement lives - and the running tape shows every step, so you can check the math or show it to a client.

THE TAPE
Every operand and every intermediate result prints to a running tape, exactly like the desk calculators the trades already trust. Left-to-right, immediate execution.

EXACT FRACTIONS
8' 6" + 4' 9-1/2" stays exact. The display rounds to your chosen precision (1/8, 1/16, or 1/32) and tells you when it did - the honesty flag - while the exact value is kept underneath.

BUILT-IN ESTIMATORS
- Concrete: slabs, footings, post holes - bags or truck yards, waste included
- Stairs: riser and tread from total rise, judged against IRC 2021 limits you can edit
- Roof pitch: rise, run, angle, rafter length
- Area and materials: gravel, sand, topsoil, mulch by the yard or the ton
- Diagonal: square your layout with the 3-4-5 check
- Convert: feet-inch, decimal, and metric renderings of the same value
