The notifications for the updates on the app are very hit and miss. I feel I have to log in hourly to check for updates on my baby. Tapestry is very basic with clunky navigation and ugly design (as if someone played the layout pages in word doc). Very limited functionalities also, ie no interaction between parents, no sign in / sign out log, no photo tagging, no adding emergency contact / caretaker authorisation etc. ### 1/5 — Very poor notification options on the app *2025-12-12, version 5.2.1* The app’s notification system is very poor. Unlike other apps that send timely alerts, this one only offers basic badge notifications. It has to place your email and password but I do sign up first? **Developer response:** If you are the parent or relative of a child and you are trying to login to Tapestry, the school/nursery/childminder your child attends will need to create an account for you, so we would recommend speaking to them about this. If they need any assistance setting you up with an account, please ask them to get in touch by emailing customer.service@eyfs.info ### 1/5 — Typical *2025-05-02, version 5.2.1* Like all these education sector apps, about 60 to 80% as good as a real app. Embarrassing if you were involved with development. There’s a persistent bug where notifications either don’t arrive on time or come through very late. Worse, the same notifications often get repeated over and over. It’s just none of it is good. Even the login page. Why in gods name do I need an option every single time to log into another account? Couldn’t I just log out if I really needed to? Send your developers on a UX course maybe? Copy a good app? Why are all educational industry apps of this sort about 60% as good as they should be. With the exception of Famly. Which is actually ok. Do better Tapestry! And notifications, is there an update, isn’t there? And if there is, is there only one or the five it telling me there is? Or maybe have I seen them all before? Or are they just switching on and off at random?
