I want to read the content but I am now getting frustrated hence the low score ### 1/5 — Fraudulent - Stay Away *2026-07-13, version 1.53.0* Cancelled subscription on time following instructions provided and was charged anyway and possibly re-enrolled in the subscription plan by the app. Impossible to reach customer service. No one responds when “transferred” by the chat box and customer service doesn’t even appear to be active during my time zone. There is no message inbox just a chat window. I’m reporting this app as fraudulent to my credit card company. This is my favorite past time and escape to relax. So many ads kills the mood and you purchase its is limited to certain not all the books you can read. Almost all the apps out there is like this. Even that is a scam. When you make a purchase, they don’t give you everything they’re supposed to and their customer service is nonexistent. Save yourself the trouble and frustration. Just don’t download the app at all. ### 3/5 — Enjoy the stories/chapters are to expensive… *2026-07-09, version 1.53.0* I can read and entire book on other platforms form $1.99-7.99. $19.99 coin pack purchase won’t even get me through an entire book. 🫤 ### 1/5 — 문의하고 며칠기다려도 답이없음 *2026-07-09* 네이버페이로 결제하고 이용했고, 아이폰 구독시스템 으로 결제한게 아니라서 당연히 1회성 결제로 생각하고 있었음. 아이폰 구독 내용 에도 이 어플이 없어서 잊어버리고 있었는데 네이버페이로 자동결제가 되어 어플 내에 문의 란을 이용해서 문의했으나 자동 챗봇이 전문 상담원 연결해주겠다는 메크로 답변만 남길 뿐 실질적인 해결 및 업체담당자의 개별 문의 답변이 오지않음. 이미 자동결제 되기 꽤 오래 전부터 어플을 이용하지않고 접속을 안하고 있는 시점인데, 해결도 안해주고 문의에 대한 성실한 답변도 없음. 휴대폰 아닌 다른 결제수단으로 결제해도 자동 구독 가능성 있으니 조심하세요 ### 1/5 — Money draining *2026-07-08* They charge extortionate amounts which aren’t worth it unless you’re planning on reading every other day. And it’s a different subscription for main stories and short stories. £45 a month? That’s more than my phone repayment and service cost. You can buy coins but at 35-71 coins per chapter, it goes very quickly. And the free coins you earn from their check in or whatever, they expire pretty quickly and will never be enough for a book. I was just charged $50 from this app when I do not even use it NOR do I have an active subscription. Trying to dispute the charge now 😩🙄 ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-06-28, version 1.52.1* I cannot cancel my subscription and got charged this month without permission. ### 1/5 — User Interface is Lacking *2026-06-28, version 1.52.1* Aside from each chapter being expensive as far as coins go, I am unable to unlock the short story chapters using coins. It only gives me the option to buy a membership for 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year, which I believe is exclusively for reading SHORT stories. I even took to googling if those are the only options, as I couldn’t fathom a reading app would ONLY give you membership options to keep reading a few more chapters of a book. Passt bloß auf was ihr euch holt, ich habe anscheinend ein Versteckes Abo abgeschlossen und kann es nicht einmal kündigen. Die netten Mitarbeiter antworten dir einmal ,, dass sie dich weiterleiten,, aber da passiert nichts. Noch nie so enttäuscht von einem Kundenservice gewesen. I have been embroiled with the customer support team for 3 weeks after I deleted my account but was still charged for a subscription. They refuse to refund me for the unspent credits on a deleted account. I now have to contact my bank for a chargeback because, according to their terms of service, the only way they will ‘consider’ refunding me anything is if I threaten them via financial institution. ### 1/5 — Can’t cancel *2026-07-22, version 1.53.0* Do not use this app! They don’t have a place where you can cancel the subscription. It’s a scam!! ### 1/5 — Subscription Scam *2026-07-20, version 1.53.0* This app is a scam. You pay for the stories, cool. But when you're finally ready to cancel you can't find the section to cancel your subscription anywhere. They hide the function inside the app and tell you to go to the App Store to cancel it under your current subscriptions but the app doesn't even pop up there. I've used the feedback section and l've emailed. Do not download this bs I'm not joking. We will strive to provide you with an even better experience in the future. ### 5/5 — Impossible to use with ads *2026-06-27* I wish that there was a way to report this without making it a review. My iPhone updated to v1.52.1 today. Now many ads have a “reward granted” button which does not work… ever. Specifically, the two-ads-in-a-single-session type, with the X in the upper-left corner. You can see the button, and you can see it depress, but it does nothing. However the other issue is even more egregious, the interstitial ads (random auto-pops, with no direct value to the user) have no skip button at all. Even if you watch all the way to end. Since the other ads include some which force you to leave to read a series of websites (often triggering an interstitial ad), it has become statistically impossible for you to successfully unlock a chapter using ads. I think that the broken interstitial ad is always for “Beauté Masquée” from PocketFM. It is possible that that one is simply a bad ad, not a problem with the ad system. The only way I have found to release either of these locked up states is to force-quit the app, which loses any progress that you have made in unlocking the chapter with ads. I really do like the books in this app, and I tolerated the ads, but this is impossible. I do buy coins on occasion. ### 5/5 — Stories missing *2026-04-22, version 1.50.1* Although I have read books on this app, when I find a book in an add on another reading app for a story on Tapon, then I hit continue reading, the story is nowhere to be found!! This has happened more than once! I have searched by title, looked for cover picture, but nothing! So where can I find the story? The most recent was His Fated Princess. Makes me not want to bother with this app! If a story is advertised, make it be there!!! ### 5/5 — An honest and fair apps *2026-04-16* Tapon has lots of good novel with professional translation. I subscribe to many reading apps: the cheap ones is very poor with translation/writing such that it’s almost impossible to read, for example the characters names and locations kept changing you don’t know whom to follow. Some better apps are really expensive it costs hundred of US$ r to read a book. Tapon has reasonable VIP subscription rate with great daily free points to collect. The only improvement I’d like would be having more stories.
