### 3/5 — cool but constant subscribe plug

*2026-08-29, version 5.6.3*

very cool concept, i like the fidget balls, but best used on one device only, i put it to sleep on my phone and my ipad (off) started making sleeping noises and i couldn't turn it off unless i uninstalled from ipad.
not a fan of how constant it prompts you to subscribe, interrupting usage of the app. i was considering subscribing until being exposed to how often it did this.

### 4/5 — Perfect.

*2026-08-23, version 5.6.3*

Amazing but I don’t want to pay for the upgrade. I just want everything for free because all of the stuff is very nice, but I don’t care why we have to pay for all the stuff.

### 3/5 — Not free

*2026-08-19, version 5.6.3*

So i love this, but it’s kind of expensive, and the free parts are just telling me that as a disable person i clearly can’t afford this 🥲

### 5/5 — Amazing!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

### 3/5 — Why I think Tappy is a good app

*2026-08-14, version 5.6.3*

It’s great for people who have anxiety and love to fidget I like how you can do more than one thing on it you can play games play with fidgets take care of Tappy also it teaches you independence by taking care of Tappy and keeping your Tappy streak I only doubt that you have to pay for certain sounds and fidgets but overall I think it’s a great app

### 4/5 — Added pressure

*2026-08-13, version 5.6.3*

I wanted to five star & I think I have before. It’s a really sweet little app with such a range of lovely and creative features, and the balance of free vs paid features actually feels fair (which is really important & impressive for a stress-relief app! It must be tough to balance making sales with not frustrating the stress-relief customers!).

But I’m struggling with not having a way to opt out of new additions that really undermine the main thing I loved.

My old favourite thing about this app was the complete lack of pressure, when it was so laid back - you just popped in when you want to and had a tap and Tappy was happy. Tappy was fine on its own for however long, chilling and napping. Just, extra happy when you’re there.

So basically the polar opposite of the Duolingo owl!

No pressure, no responsibility, no failure. I found that very peaceful and helpful.

Now it feels like it’s warning you that Tappy’s energy is low - this is a problem that Tappy needs you to fix. So, rather than just it having a quiet little nap in between your visits, it’s struggling with being let down by me.

And there’s a streak🔥 counter I can’t turn off, adding this “keep it up” pressure. Showing up to attend to Tappy is a thing you’re getting scored on.

I’ve been looking in settings for an option to hide new features that are actually counterproductive for me, and not finding them.

I know I’m taking a stressy perspective here, seeing pressure where probably most people wouldn’t. But I wonder if it’s not uncommon for users of a stress relief app to have stressy perceptions of features like this.

Rather than just uninstalling, I wanted to raise this. I see there’s customisation options for hiding widgets, so I wondered if something similar could be added for the streak counting and the prompting to tap.

Thank you for creating this little guy :)

### 5/5 — Perfect for people with autism

*2026-08-13, version 5.6.3*

OMG I LOVE THIS APP SOOO MUCH! I have autism and I love how the fidgets vibrate when you use them. You can also work on your breathing, vent, and relax! I highly recommend. ❤️‍🔥

### 5/5 — I LOVE IT

*2026-08-12, version 5.6.3*

This game helps me calm down when I’m mad or sad!

### 4/5 — Tappy!!

*2026-08-11, version 5.6.3*

Overall, it is just a great app to have, but I do think that there should be more options to get the energy of Tappy up such as like playing outside or like doing fun activities with tappy just so there’s more things today, but if you are new to happy, you will love the app. It is addicting.

### 5/5 — So relaxing

*2026-08-11, version 5.6.3*

There are many games that say “look at me!!! I’m so relaxing and I have no ads and I am DEFINITELY not lying” but this one is perfect!!! It actually has no ads, and even without the subscription, has many things to do .

### 4/5 — Good but limited features

*2026-08-10, version 5.6.3*

it pretty much sucks that your only limited to only 3 habit reminders.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal

*2026-08-10, version 5.6.3*

### 5/5 — Tappy

*2026-08-10, version 5.6.3*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — 안녕! 메아리들! 이번에내가 이걸발견했어!

*2026-08-06, version 5.6.3*

와 진짜구려

### 1/5 — Tappy sounds at random times

*2026-07-31, version 5.6.3*

I had tappy for like 5 years now. Never had an issue until recently on my ipad at random times, tappy will start a breathing exercise. Ipad wont have any apps open, sound playing or anything that would explain why tappy is breathing loudly on my ipad even when the ipad is turned off. At school, Ive had my ipad in my backpack and in the middle of the professor giving a lecture, you hear a subtle loud breathing sound that gradually increases. If the developers see this I have a few videos of this happening I would be glad to email proof

### 1/5 — Not happy

*2026-06-24, version 5.6.1*

in color swipe it just keeps making the ball turn colors that aren’t one of the options it is glitchy nothing is free and you have to be plus for stupid things like tappy labs also in tic tac toe if you click on top of tappys moves fast enough it replaces it with yours please fix.

### 1/5 — 😒😒upset

*2026-06-20, version 5.6.1*

It won’t let me delete it and it cost 40 a year well about fifty

### 1/5 — Idk

*2026-03-13, version 5.1.0*

### 1/5 — Money wasting

*2026-03-04, version 4.15.0*

In the past one purchase will be forever and I unlocked all benefits. Now it is a monthly subscription stupid item that just took my money and left nothing else for me

### 1/5 — Too bad it's not actually free

*2026-02-24, version 4.15.0*

Sad

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2026-02-21, version 4.15.0*

My mom got this app so I can learn how to cope for my ADHD, Anxiety, And OCD… spoiler alert it didn’t work. LIKE I would rather buy a $10 app than play this one (not buying a $10 app) It’s so boring
DONT GET IT

### 1/5 — Seriously? Avoid This App.

*2026-02-11, version 4.13.2*

I guess it’s an unavoidable fact today for pretty much every Apple developer to foolishly fall victim to the corruption of instituting a subscription payment scheme into their applications. Which almost always is completely unwarranted by every imaginable measure. I was dumb to think this developer was above that type of unethical decision.

To pay, a never ending, rental fee to tap the screen through a subscription plan is just astronomical heights of pure absurdity. To think as well that I used the donate function offered in this app in the past. Pointless. I wish now that it were possible to get a refund on my donation.

I guess the only saving grace for me with this horrible new monetization scheme is that I never was naive enough to have all of my applications set to “Auto-Update.” So, at least for a while I can still keep and use this app that I pointlessly donated to, to show my misplaced gratitude to the developer for all of their hard work and time once put into Tappy in the past.

Even besides an application such as this being totally and completely unwarranted in asking for a never ending subscription just to tap the screen. Just how many separate subscriptions do you developers who employ this poison monetization believe we can all afford? 99.99% of applications were never meant to be made into a subscription plan payment. Ridiculous.

I’ve even seen a calculator application that unbelievably asked for never ending payment to use. This is even worse and more egregious than that insane example of application, developer avarice.

This was always a fun and well made application in my opinion. Which, as I said, is why I donated previously to show my gratitude for the hard work put into it. But you asking for payments that never end to tap the screen is just unadulterated madness I believe.

It’s only a matter of time before someone figures out a way to charge people a subscription to use the toilet. Or to use their bed. Or walk. Or breathe. To blink. It’s all so very sickening to witness if I’m honest.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2025-11-07, version 4.10.0*

Glitchy

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great choice!

*2026-09-01, version 5.6.3*

As a someone who has major anxiety this is such a good app! I really like the bit where you can vent freely. However to unlock certain things you need to buy the pass but without it, its still a great app.

### 5/5 — ANAZING

*2026-08-29, version 5.6.3*

GENUINELY SPENT LIKE 5 HOURS A DAY!!! The games are so fun!!!!

### 5/5 — I absolutely adore tappy

*2026-08-27, version 5.6.3*

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app. I've had it for over 5 years and every update makes it better. I bought the upgrade for tappy i dont rember what it was for since it was so long ago but it was completely worth it and I use it every day. I am neurodivergent, and it helps a lot with anxiety and helps me to focus by giving my hands something to do with the fidgets. Also, it's a great app for airplanes; it kept me busy for a 14-hour trip. Only one suggestion I would make is that I want the reminders in the app to be aviable as a widget like the IOS reminders app that would be great! Ü

### 5/5 — Read this!!!

*2026-08-27, version 5.6.3*

The UI and vibrations are excellent! The only downside is that the haptics feel different if you don't have an iPhone or a newer Samsung. Message to the developer: please add about two more thunderstrike sounds. Also, offering Tappy Plus is such a better model than putting ads in the game. If someone is having a breakdown or not feeling well, the last thing they need is to be bombarded with ads. :)
