Save your password once and Face ID gets you in from then on. It is kept in your iPhone keychain, the same place Safari saves passwords, so it syncs to your other Apple devices and fills in on taskapeer.com too. Turn it on or forget it again any time in Settings. Photos look right now. Every photo in the feed sits in the same frame, so nothing jumps around as you scroll. When you post, choose whether to fill the frame or show the whole photo. Give your profile a look of its own. Add a landscape banner behind your profile. Drag it down to see the whole picture. Posts open where you are. Tapping someone's post opens the post, so you can read it, like it and comment without leaving. Tap their name at the top to go to their profile. Switch between Poster and Peer with one slide. No more confirmation box every time. What each mode does is explained in Settings. Names are held to a standard. Usernames and display names are checked at signup, so the handle next to a task is one you would be happy to see. Pull to refresh as much as you like. Tap Forgot password and a six digit code lands on your phone. For a lot of people this used to fail silently: the app said to check your messages and nothing ever came. Fixed. Your @name is yours alone. Nobody can take a name that someone on Taskapeer is already using. The availability check at signup now covers every name in use, not just some of them. See exactly how ranks work. Tap your rank on your profile for the whole ladder, what earns points, and what climbing actually gets you. Silver to Emerald, and only finished work counts, so a rank cannot be bought. A bad connection no longer eats your feed. Post a task with "You approve" and Peers line up instead of racing. Check their profiles, their faces, their history, then tap Approve on the one you trust. First come, first served is still there when speed matters. Real faces, real names. Every account now takes a live profile photo on the camera, no gallery uploads. Add your real name so friends recognize you, and choose a public or private profile right at signup. Private means follows become requests you approve. Find your people. A new People You May Know row on your Social tab suggests peers your friends already trust. And every open task on campus shows in your feed until someone takes it. Plus: a smoother update experience, sturdier notifications, and a small celebration upgrade when a task wraps. ### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-24 Your phone finally buzzes. This update fixes notifications from the ground up. When someone on your campus posts a task, everyone hears about it: a push to your phone, a banner inside the app, and an entry in your notification center. A heads up, the moment it happens. In Peer mode, a new task slides down from the top of your screen the second it goes up, with the price on it. Tap it and the task is yours to claim, first come, first served. We are sorry we missed you. If you posted a task and nobody came, this was why. Notifications were not reaching people. They do now, and every open task shows in everyone's feed. ### 1.2 — 2026-08-20 Say it with a like. Photo posts now have likes and comments. Tap the heart, see who liked it, and talk about it right on the post, on profiles and in the Social feed. Climb the ladder. Meet Peer Rank: Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Emerald. Tasks you complete, posts you see through, and reviews you leave all earn points, and higher ranks hear about new tasks first. Your name is yours forever. Usernames are now permanent. The handle you pick at signup is the one you keep, so make it count. Card trouble, called out honestly. If a claim fails because the poster's card was declined, the app now says exactly that, and the poster gets a heads up to fix their payment method. Never miss an update. When a newer version of taskapeer is on the App Store, the app tells you on launch and takes you straight there.
