Typically no one shows up during the date window when the app says service is booked, with no communication from TaskEasy. The quality & price of the actual lawn work that eventually gets done are fine, but the consistent no-call no-shows are just not worth it. This was a consistent issue for me over 2 years until I finally cancelled this spring. ### 2/5 — Good in theory *2021-07-29, version 1.2.10* When the contractor shows up it’s a good service. However, this rarely happens. My last job was rescheduled 3 times before being canceled. They just send you an email apology and cancel your service. I would recommend using a different service or just call around to local contractors. ### 4/5 — Login every time *2021-05-15, version 1.2.10* I had to go through like 5 contractors before i found one that is reliable and does a great job. The first few were just whoever signed up as wanting to mow lawns. Literally one of them was a husband & wife team that showed up at 8pm in a sedan with a lawn mower hanging out the trunk. The cut-off time IS 8pm. But like i said, i finally got a great contractor who is professional and does an excellent job every time. Only problem now is that when he completes a job and the app asks me to rate it, i have to login every single time. I’m not going to look up my login info for this. This is a scan to get extra money out of you. YOUR SERVICE WILL BE DELAYED NO MATTER WHAT. And when you call to ask them they play dumb, go with another app ### 1/5 — TERRIBLE, DISGUSTINGLY NON-RESPONSIVE *2020-09-14, version 1.2.7* DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! This app contracts random third-parties to service your property, however, that’s only IF they actually do what they advertise here. I’ve waited 4+ weeks for service and received NOTHING. I have diligently called their service line for assistance daily and been promised that someone would arrive for my lawn care needs and none was provided. JUST ENDED A 20-MINUTE PHONE CALL AS I WRITE THIS REVIEW AND WAS PROMISED SOMEONE WOULD ARRIVE WITHIN THE HOUR...I asked to speak with a SUPERVISOR and was told that representatives aren’t allowed to transfer calls to them. Quite honestly, this service provider/app is a complete joke. Look elsewhere for your property care needs at all costs. HOW IS THIS “COMPANY” EVEN IN BUSINESS??????? UPDATE: I contacted the company based on the email provided in response to my review here and they replied with a series of excuses as to why my home hadn’t been serviced for 30+ days, even stating that my home had been scheduled the entire time...however I don’t quite understand how that explains the extensive delay of 4+ weeks without service being that they should have procured another contractor in the midst of the horrible experience provided for so long. Again, DO NOT BOTHER WITH TASKEASY! ### 1/5 — They came one time ! *2020-08-08, version 1.2.7* Been trying to get support all summer .. keep being told they will find me a contractor and yet nobody comes ... they came one time this whole summer the yard looks like a jungle and because it’s so late In the season other contractors are trying to charge $200+ per .. very displeased I wouldn’t recommend. I used them last year with little issues but this year they are absolutely garbage ### 1/5 — Left lawn clippings everywhere... *2020-08-07, version 1.2.7* Tried using this last week. They left grass clippings in the street in front of my home. And even left them scattered all over my yard. I got them up the next day. They came out and took photos and claimed they got them up. After 4 cancellations, I decided my renters deserved better. Don't waste your time. Feel nd a quality service provider. ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2020-06-16, version 1.2.6* We first started with TaskEasy during the covid shutdown. They were offering free lawn cut for healthcare workers on the frontline. This was a Godsend for me and my husband working tirelessly on the frontline. We were so happy with the service, we hired the contractor to mow weekly which was done on time maybe 2 times, but I thought this maybe due to weather delays. I saw they offered addl services like Fertilizer and spring clean up and scheduled both. Fertilizing was scheduled and rescheduled several times. Then I get the alert to approve the job. No one had came to do this, no photos were taken I was in my kitchen all day, no one completed this task. I rejected the job on the app. I was eventually told by customer service they dont have the “equipment to fertilize “ Fishy that they tried to get paid for it. The spring cleaning was scheduled for 2 weeks and never completed. So I cancelled. Not reliable. ### 1/5 — Service never happens on time *2020-06-11, version 1.2.6* I used to love task easy. It was very convenient. I was in the process of buying a house and I didn’t have a lawn mower yet. They didn’t come to the property for 4 weeks. The contractors did a wonderful job when they actually came out. Costumer service was lacking. Emails were not professional. ### 1/5 — Difficult to say which is worse... *2020-04-04, version 1.2.4* The app is terrible but the customer service is worse. This is a go-between with contractors. TaskEasy doesn’t have any control over the contractors- so quality and reliability depend solely on luck of the draw. When there is a problem, customer service is unable to understand even the simplest of issue such as a no-show contractor. They offer apologies and promises but never results. At the end of the day it’s easier to hire someone yourself and costs far less when factoring your time and constant frustration. ### 1/5 — Contractor never shows up. *2019-12-14, version 1.2.1* Nice app. Unreliable service. If I could give a half star, I would. ### 1/5 — Awful ‘service’ waste of time! *2019-09-30, version 1.2.1* Originally was scheduled for a one time lawn cut on 9/24, then it was moved to 9/25, then 9/29! Called customer service after the delay from 9/25/2019, was assured by the customer service rep they would come on 9/29/2019. They even spoke with the contractor. The reason for the delay I was given was the contractor was changed after the initial scheduling, and the second contractor was only in my area on Sundays. Fair enough, I decided to give it one more chance. 9/29/2019 rolled around, nobody came. Lawn is now so long I would definitely be charged for the 6+ inch lawn fee. I called and emailed that night, they were closed. I called on 9/30/2019 when they opened, it had a 45 minute wait to speak to someone. I gave up and mowed the front myself. Called later in the day and spoke to someone, they again told me it was a "miscommunication" and someone "may be by today but (I) don't know because I didn't speak to the contractor but he is in your area." Asked for a discount because of the egregious delay and the fact that my yard is now half mowed, rep said that wasn't possible and that they charge for full yard - and that they would be charging $72, which is even more than what the app said it would be with the 6+ inch fee (62.79) I told them to cancel. Horrific experience. I am deleting this app and telling everyone I know not to use it. What a huge waste of my time! I wanted this app for convenience and reliability, it shows the inability to accomplish either. ### 1/5 — Don’t use Task Easy! *2019-09-25, version 1.2.0* This is the worst service I have ever tried to use. I was on vacation and I scheduled TaskEasy to Cut my lawn while I was away. They rescheduled my lawn mowing 3 times! Then when the mowing contractor did finally show up he on top of the $72.00 they were gonna charge me, told me he was gonna charge me an additional $100.00 for the service because my grass was too long. It was only too long because this horrible service changed the date 3 times causing the mow to happen 3 days later than it was supposed to happen. I called into TaskEasy Customer Care, they were absolutely not willing to help me in any way. The agents are extremely rude. It’s the worst experience I have ever had working with this company. Don’t download the TaskEasy app and trust me when I say don’t use the aTaskEasy service. ### 1/5 — Horrible service *2019-08-02, version 1.1.9* The app itself works fine, but the service is horrible. You will just get scheduled days out in advance just for your service to be cancelled, or they will never show up. Then they will want to charge you extra for overgrowth. ### 1/5 — way too expensive *2019-07-11, version 1.1.9* i live in a town home with a small backyard and very little yard in the front. my neighbors with identical yards pay no more than $15-$25 for their yard mowed, trimmed, and blown as the whole ordeal takes 30-45 minutes. this app priced my yard at $45. thought being able to request service from an app seemed convenient but at double the price it definitely is not worth it. ### 1/5 — Not worth it...and it’s free *2019-07-08, version 1.1.9* I have battled with Task Easy almost every single time I requested a service. I’ve withheld ratings because I wanted to give them a chance to get it right. As other reviewers have said, the job is never done on time (not talking about weather delays). As other reviewers have said, why do they keep using providers that don’t show up?! As other reviewers have said, they charge you extra for having “longer grass,” when THEY are the ones getting the job done (if at all) later than requested. This most recent time was beyond unacceptable. I requested a mow on June 12th and it was scheduled for the 14th. On the morning of June 14th, it was moved to the 19th. Ugh. No communication was made when no one showed up on the 19th. I called them (after which I got an email saying they’ll look into it), they said they’d talk to the provider. No call back. I called them again one week later, they said they’d find a new provider and then let me know. No call back. I called ANOTHER WEEK after that and politely, but sternly told them the situation and asked if they’d just mow the lawn please. That lady was nice and sent me her direct contact me info, but it was Saturday night and I would hear from them Monday morning. So here I am TWENTY-SEVEN days later, about to get a fine from my HOA, and I just got an email that THEY cancelled the service on ME. As a single mom, I would love to use services and apps like this to make my life easier...I really have no other choice. Such a disappointment. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Hired thieves and hold no liability *2026-08-05, version 3.1.1* The company sent by TaskEasy to cut my neighbor’s lawn trespassed on my property and stole $8K worth of my belongings in my patio and attempted to break into my home. TaskEasy requested the proof and after 30 days decided they help no liability. Even further they refused to provide any information and are therefore protecting criminals. Absolutely terrible. ### 1/5 — Absolute garbage and a rip off *2025-04-30, version 3.0.1* Avoid at all costs. They resumed my lawn mowing service with no notice (they claimed to have left a voicemail, meanwhile they send an email for everything else) and jacked up their prices. You have to call to complain or even cancel services, and the person on the phone is rude as can be. They refused to fund a mowing I didn’t authorize, so I cancelled my services from them completely. What a scam. Like I said, avoid at all costs. Absolute trash organization. ### 1/5 — Service and customer service is awful *2023-10-11, version 2.0.0* I’ve been going back and forth for the past week about them cutting my lawn 4 days after they already cut it!!! Grass doesn’t even have the chance to grow that quickly with no rain water, the pictures of before and after are identical after taken account of the streak marks on the lawn. The customer service really tried to offer me a discount on service when the contractor should have noticed my grass was already cut and looked fine. Get this app off the App Store. ### 1/5 — I Don’t Recommend Task Easy *2023-07-20, version 2.0.0* When on my property while doing the lawn my fence gate screw was broke and they denied my claim because of course wasn’t home to have proof that they damaged my fence so it’s the contractors word against mine. You can do better finding your own contractor that won’t leave you hanging after they cause damage to your property and deny it. They claim if anything happens to your property while they are on it they will fix it. Well saying that they will sounds great on paper until something actually happens ### 1/5 — Major issues with this app *2022-07-13, version 1.3.1* I used Task Easy for over a decade. It worked well but I got locked out of my account when I changed addresses. They couldn’t help me access my account and then I had no control of when contractors were coming or my billing info. I called several times and asked to close the account, remove my credit card info. They said it would be done but it never was. Contractors continued to come, I continued being billed. Eventually I had to block transactions through my credit card company. Even then it was a fight to get them to close my account. App works great if you never have issues, but once you have issues, it’s a nightmare. ### 1/5 — Do not use this app and service. The worst. *2022-05-27, version 1.3.1* I have used Task Easy lawn mowing service under my wife’s account. It is simply the worst service ever. They never show up on schedule. Rescheduling 3 times is normal. Their excuse is always the same (“We could not find a contractor”) with a superficial, automated apology. I have tried to be patient with them, but cannot bear their terrible service scheduling any longer. I will cancel the contract with them and remove the account. Done. ### 1/5 — Don’t Recommend Task Easy *2021-11-19, version 1.3.0* I don’t recommend Task Easy what so ever. I signed up for Task Easy to find a reliable company to service my property the contractor I was originally signed with one contractor they never showed up and kept changing the day I had selected because they claim you can pick your one day. When the contractor actually did show they didn’t do a good job. I eventually was assigned another contractor and never showed up ether and so let Task Easy know I had found someone on my own and they actually do a great job. I do like the fact that you can get before and after pictures of the work but that’s about it. If your considering on using Task Easy to find a reliable Lawn service don’t. Your better off finding your own plus it’s cheaper paying the contractor directly. ### 1/5 — Bad service *2021-07-06, version 1.2.10* It’s common to have them reschedule by a day or two with no notice, but this month they haven’t shown up to four straight appointments and have rescheduled five times. I sent emails and messages and finally called to see what it would take to have someone come. By this point, it had been over three weeks since my last mow. Save yourself the trouble and money and find someone else, I have. ### 1/5 — Nothing but lies *2021-04-14, version 1.2.9* I have been a customer for years and I loved this company but this year I’m getting nothing but lies and horrible customer service. I was suppose to have service 3 weeks ago and constantly been told we don’t know what’s going on or we need to find another contractor. Some guy finally does show up and it was about to rain and the yard honestly wasn’t too bad and we agreed he could show up early next week. He does not and now my yard is starting to look bad and I need it cut to start a yard treatment. I called customer service the day after he was suppose to show up and they have no clue why he didn’t show up the day before and he can’t come today because it might rain. I gave them until Friday or I’m done. What a idiotic horrible display of customer service. If something is wrong be honest and talk to me like an adult don’t lie and don’t tell me you’re sorry when you aren’t. Whoever the leadership is at this company they should be worried about looking for another job soon because you ain’t gonna have one here if this continues. ### 1/5 — Task easy take a huge cut of $ *2021-03-29, version 1.2.9* I am not one of their service providers, but an end customer. They charge me $300, and only give end landscaper $200? Feel bad fir the landscaper.
