## What is Task(ed)?

Task(ed) — Capture it. Organize it. Done.

A focused task manager that gets out of your way. Smart sections sort your tasks automatically, recurring schedules keep routines on track, and a calendar view shows what's ahead — all without an account or subscription.

Natural Language Input Type or speak in plain language. "Call mom Friday at 3pm" extracts the title, date, and time. "Add taco ingredients to Groceries" generates the items and routes them to the right list. Review everything in a confirmation card with tappable chips before adding.

Smart Sections Tasks sort themselves into Overdue, Today, Upcoming, Anytime, and Done. No manual triage — open the app and see what matters now.

Subtasks & Inline Editing Expand any task row to see notes, check off subtasks, or add new ones inline. Return key commits and opens a fresh input for rapid entry.

Daily Wins A small counter tracks tasks completed today, your current streak, and your own reward milestones. Just enough signal to keep momentum without turning your list into a chore.

Recurring Tasks Daily, weekdays, weekly, biweekly, monthly, yearly, or custom rules. Set it once and the next instance appears when you complete.

Calendar View Visual dots on the calendar grid show task density. Tap a day to see what's due. Overdue markers in red.

### 2.9.3 — 2026-08-15

A new look on your home screen — and bulk add now speaks your language.

• New app icon artwork, in both light and dark.
• Adding several tasks at once is now fully translated. The confirmation card used to show English — "Add 9 Items?" and English chip labels — even on a German or French device. The card and every sheet behind it now read in your language, with the right plural forms.

### 2.9.2 — 2026-08-02

Siri and Shortcuts now work the way they always should have.

• "Complete buy milk in Task(ed)" now does exactly that. Siri can find a task by its title — including a partial title, or an accented word said without the accent. • The Task(ed) page in the Shortcuts app used to show five generic tiles and nothing else. Now you get a Complete tile for each of your tasks, plus Get Tasks and Add Task tiles for each of your lists. • The tiles stay current as you add and remove tasks and lists.

Existing installs repair themselves the next time you open the app — nothing to set up.

### 2.9.1 — 2026-07-31

Task(ed) now actually speaks all 8 of its languages.

• The screens that were still English — Backup & Restore, Notifications, the Tip Jar, Daily Wins, the Daily Brief, Appearance and About — are translated everywhere. • The widget is no longer English-only. It now matches the app, using the same wording for the sections both show. • Dates and counts follow your language's rules instead of English ones, so headers read 27/07/26 and plurals come out right. • Siri and Shortcuts read in your language too — action names, parameter names, and the results Siri reads back.

Voice capture is the one exception — it still understands English dates only.

### 2.9 — 2026-07-12

What's New

Get things done without opening the app.


Complete from the Siri card — ask for your pending tasks and every row now has a tappable circle. Tap it and the task is done; the row drops off the card right there, no re-running and no app launch.
Tasks in Spotlight — your active tasks are now searchable from iPhone search, including by a word from a task's notes. Completed tasks stay out of the way.


Note: the Pending shortcut now requires iOS 26 — that's what makes the card interactive. Every other shortcut is unchanged.

### 2.8 — 2026-06-23

What's New: Rescheduling just got a lot faster.

- Quick Reschedule — long-press any task and move it to Today, Tomorrow, This Weekend, or Next Week in one tap. Recurring tasks defer just the one occurrence — the series keeps its cadence.
- Pick a date… — choose any day from a calendar in the same menu, for when the presets don't quite reach.
- Plan My Day — if the Overdue pile is stacking up, a new toolbar button lets you triage it all at once: reschedule in bulk, complete the ones you've cleared, or defer everything in a single tap.
