## What is TasksDojo?

Why TasksDojo? Most productivity tools bury you in long, cluttered lists. TasksDojo cuts through the noise by keeping your attention on what matters today, so you spend less time organizing and more time getting work done.

TasksDojo turns getting things done into a daily practice. It is a Today-focused productivity app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac that keeps today's priorities clear, helps you build habits that last, and grounds each day in a mantra that sets your mindset.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2026.3.11 — 2026-08-15

Bug fix for Habit count

### 2026.3.9 — 2026-08-06

Habits now run on your schedule.

HABIT SCHEDULING

Habits can repeat on a schedule, just like recurring tasks. A new Frequency picker in the habit editors lets each habit run every day, on specific weekdays, or every few days.
On its off days a scheduled habit steps out of the way entirely. It disappears from that day's list and stops counting toward completion totals on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, widgets, and badges.
Streaks follow the schedule too, counting only the days a habit is due and forgiving a single missed occurrence.

TODAY VIEW

Tasks from earlier days are now labeled Previous instead of Overdue, shown in quiet gray instead of red. Red is reserved for Critical priority alone.
Previous Days tasks sort newest first, and cards carried forward show how long they have been waiting, with a subtle label that turns orange once a task is a week old.
Tasks carried from other days show a compact origin date, and ongoing tasks with due dates display their full date range.
The status filter now truly filters. Choosing Completed shows just that day's finished tasks.

MAC

New tasks are now created inline in the detail pane instead of a separate window, with a pinned draft row at the top of the list that becomes the saved task.

IMPROVEMENTS

Add Habits and Add Mantras now open the new habit or mantra editor directly instead of the Library, which stays a tap away behind each screen's Edit button.
Card styles default to the new Dynamic look for fresh installs, while existing users keep their current choice.
Restore Defaults in Settings now resets all User Preferences after a confirmation.
The Today widget greets you with a cleaner Good Morning, Good Afternoon, or Good Evening.

FIXES

The Mac window no longer shows a stray empty tab bar and new tab button under the toolbar.
Quick entry now carries everything you typed into the full editor.
Removing recurrence from a task unlocks its due date and clears it from the Recurring list.
Tab and icon badges update within a second of task changes.
Date picker sheets can reach the last days of a month.
Completed tasks show a checkmark on a dimmed card and appear on their scheduled day when finished early.

### 2026.3.7 — 2026-07-30

TasksDojo comes to your wrist and your Home Screen.

APPLE WATCH APP
TasksDojo now has an Apple Watch app. It opens to a Today hub with today's task list and count rows that open Previous Days, Ongoing Tasks, Habits, and Mantras.
Check off tasks and subtasks, log habits, and complete mantras right from the watch, all synced through iCloud.
Swipe left on a habit row to undo, or on a task row to snooze it to tomorrow.

WIDGETS
New Today, Habits, and Mantras widgets for the iPhone and iPad Home Screen and the Mac desktop.
Log a completion with one tap right on the widget, page through longer lists, and tap any row to jump straight to that task, habit, or mantra in the app.

IMPROVEMENTS
Habit cards now share one consistent header, with the category label, streak, and completion check in the same spots on every card, and the 7 day chart sits directly under the header.
The Today date heading on iPhone, iPad, and Mac now shows a small calendar icon, making it clear you can tap it to open the date picker.

FIXES
Tapping a habit or mantra widget while the app was in the background now opens the right tab.
Today widget rows no longer show as blank white pills on the dimmed Mac desktop or the tinted iPhone Home Screen.
Fixed a crash that could occur while refreshing the app icon badge.
Subtasks on Mac display inline again.

### 2026.3.6 — 2026-07-14

This update brings a fresh look and smarter capture across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

New
• New App Icon that help users find TasksDojo easily
• Habit and Mantra Libraries. Browse built in starters and switch them on or off with your history preserved, or create your own. Restore Defaults brings back anything you removed.
• Home Screen icon picker. Choose from a lineup of colorways in Settings, synced across your devices with iCloud.
• New themes. Creme, Rose, Seafoam, Beach, and the neon 80's Nightlife, plus a warmer, cleaner light mode. Preview every theme on the new Appearance screen.
• Focus from any task. Start or stop a Focus session right inside the task editor, watch the countdown inline, and review each session in the task's focus summary.
• Inline tags. Type tags directly in the task editor and apply them with a comma or return, with suggestions for recent and matching tags.

### 2026.3.3 — 2026-07-05

TasksDojo has a fresh new look. TasksDojo has a redesigned app icon across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, including light, dark, and tinted variants.
Voice memos, now on any task. Record a voice memo right in the task editor and transcribe it on-device, straight into your Notes, no matter how long the recording runs. Attached clips play back inline, and you can long-press any existing audio to drop its transcript into Notes.
Richer Notes. Format task notes with bold, italic, underline, and font size, all synced across your devices. Pasted text now keeps your note's own style instead of importing foreign fonts.
A sharper focus timer. Your Pomodoro focus total now breaks down by day, and a live countdown appears in the Mac and iPad sidebar while a session runs.
Additional fixes & polish.
