The app gives me nothing in comparison. Hopefully we can have some chef crossover. I know you can do it! ### 3/5 — Not ready yet *2026-03-15* It’s ok. It has a lot of recipes (quantity), but not many good quality recipes. Really, who needs numerous recipes for scrambled eggs. One will do. Someone must be obsessed with salmon because there is an over abundance of uninteresting salmon recipes that quite frankly probably taste as boring as they read. This app has potential but it has a way to go. A little less redundancy and more substance would be a good start. Not subscription worthy. ### 2/5 — Very difficult to find recipes *2026-01-09, version 1.8.2* Purchased this APP to get recipes. Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to find the recipes. You can put in all the code words you want and literally get nothing. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2025-09-13* Frustrated. I had a free trial for this app and thought I’d give it a try. After using it the first time, I knew it wasn’t worth it. You can’t cancel your subscription from the app, so you have to log in online. I thought I canceled right after the first time with the app, but clearly something happened where I didn’t. The subscription renewed and I asked for my money back. They said they do not provide any sort of refunds whether the app was or wasn’t used. They clearly need the money… stay away. **Developer response:** We're sorry to hear you didn't find Tastemade Cooking valuable. You can indeed cancel your membership within the app if you subscribed within the app, and we do issue refunds in select scenarios. Please reach out to support@tastemade.com. ### 1/5 — Beware of “free trial” *2025-09-12* I got a free trial from T-Mobile that said it was good till sept 10 so I set a reminder in my phone to cancel. When I logged on the 10th to cancel I was already charged. Most companies will refund you if you inquire quickly but they refuse to. Big waste since it’s not worth the money. ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE THIS APP *2025-09-11, version 1.3.1* Not only is the app itself poorly made, recipes are just okay, but when I went through the steps to cancel the app I still got charged for it 5 days later. When I asked for a refund they said no EVEN THOUGH the subscription was canceled on my end. I let my bank know but still an absolutely mind blowing display of lack of care for their customer base. ### 1/5 — App feedback *2025-07-22* I wanted to load the app but it FORCED me to sign up to Tastemade + to access the site! It was a free 1 week trial but I didn’t want it at all. Why force this on people to use the app? Don’t like that at all! Give the trial a try—we're confident you'll love it! ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-07-21* Didn’t use the free trial. They charged me for a renewal even though I didn’t want it. They refuse to refund. Have no customer service number. Emailing customer service is a joke. Just don’t bother with this app. ### 1/5 — Not much *2025-06-16* I keep searching recipes that they don’t have lol. For an app they want you to pay for, You’d think they have more options. Ridiculous… I searched Salisbury steak… Common recipe…. guess what? They don’t have it. Lol. What happened to the monthly?? Are you guys not aware of this economy?? And please stop touting the 7 day trial as “free”, just call it a trial. At the very least have part of the app be free. I was excited to try this as a college student who likes cooking and meal planning but this is just bs! ### 1/5 — Scam- the trial is a scam! *2026-02-09* I also had the same issue as another reviewer. ( look up the reviews! )You try to cancel it but it didn’t fully cancel. I tried to get a refund and they wouldn’t allow it. I never used their app. It never helped me with anything. Most people find the app worth the price, but you can always cancel during the trial to avoid being charged. ### 1/5 — not worth it *2025-10-31, version 1.6.0* it advertises as a free app but you need to enter your card information to see anything past the main screen. just false advertising to the max, don’t know how they have a rating of 4.7 because every review i’ve seen is 1 star. ### 1/5 — Not trustworthy *2025-10-26, version 1.5.0* I was not impressed by the app., so I removed it and canceled the subscription before the free tryout ended. Image my surprise to find that they kept billing my credit card! Don’t trust this app.! ### 1/5 — Shady billing *2025-09-14* If I could give 0 stars I would. I signed up for a free trial but never used it. When I tried to cancel it was buried in a bunch of different clicks and took me forever to find the cancellation page. They billed me for a subscription without even sending a reminder email, and refuse to refund me. I’m sure their revenues are made by billing people in a sneaky way.
