Tasteocracy is for everyone: We are people from all walks of life who reside in or near the Twin Cities in Minnesota or the Tri Valley/East Bay area outside San Francisco, California, who come together to give their opinions on new and existing products. All you have to do to join Tasteocracy is create a profile. Then when a new test is announced, answer a handful of questions and, if you’re a good fit, we’ll show you times you can schedule to come join us, and you’ll be part of our community of testers. Tasteocracy is an experience: Our testers sample food, beverages, dietary supplements and more in a controlled environment. Kids — or, as we like to call them, Taste Buds — are welcome too! Tests are confidential and often independent, though some focus groups are, by nature, interactive. Most taste tests last 30 to 50 minutes, and members earn extra cash ($35 or more) in exchange for their valuable feedback. Join Tasteocracy today! You are eligible to join the Tasteocracy community if: · You live in the Twin Cities Metro Area in Minnesota or in the Tri Valley/East Bay area in California — The majority of our tests require your physical presence. If you live outside of our testing area you may still sign up, but you can expect to have to travel to one of our testing locations. You can find our testing locations here. · You are between 18 and 65 years old — Each test has its own parameters for age and other factors, but many fall within the 18 to 65 range. Kids can test too, but their parent must sign up as a tester first. Adults over 65 are still be eligible to test, though we have limited opportunities for this age group. · You don’t have any food allergies — This is for your safety and ours! Those with allergies to food may sign up, since we occasionally have tests that are not food related, but your opportunities will be limited. I check the app to complete said survey and the app displays nothing. If I login to the Tasteocracy website, all potential opportunities are shown. Fix the bug(s) with this synchronization issue and I’ll happily update my review and rating. ### 1/5 — Glitchy App *2024-12-05* This app has always been real glitchy. Took the profile update survey and it just keeps refreshing. They implemented a new loyalty program but apparently it doesn’t even work. I haven’t had any taste test surveys in months when I usually get invites every few weeks. Edit: Still super glitchy with the update. They implemented a new loyalty program but apparently it doesn’t even work. I took a survey to qualify for a test, did end up qualifying, but then I wasn’t able to select a session. I’m sure it was because I just tested, but why even bother letting me waste my time by offering the survey, let alone allowing me to fill it out? ### 2/5 — Glitchy *2023-11-01* I scheduled a test and received 10 emails with messages differing between being scheduled and my appointment being cancelled. Got an email a couple days later telling me that I had a no-call, no-show warning. Many times, I qualify but then there are no options to schedule a test. But then I get a phone call later asking if I want to schedule. Please fix the app or scrap it. ### 1/5 — Never has tests available *2022-01-19, version 1.7.0* I rarely get any surveys to qualify for tests to begin with. On the rare occasion I get an email saying there is a test I may qualify for, it’s never available on the app even though it might be on the website when I log in. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t list Tests or Surveys *2021-11-03* The app doesn’t even list Tests… when I select BROWSE SURVEYS it takes me to “can we help you?” Yeah, I want to see the surveys but the app doesn’t do that.
