### 1/5 — Useless Updates

*2026-10-13*

The Tata Play App used to work for recharging and watching tv channels earlier, but now The Smart Tata Play Update has removed Recharging as well as to ask access for channels which I already pay a lot, This app and Company is going to ruins

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for sharing your concern, please share further details to help@tataplay.com along with your subscriber ID and registered mobile number for further assistance.

### 1/5 — 😌

*2026-05-10*

I am very disappointed with the recent customer support experience. I contacted Tata Play Customer Care regarding a channel refresh issue and spent almost 30 minutes on the call. I provided all required details, including the set-top box number and card information, and followed multiple instructions to restart the device. However, the issue was not resolved.

After disconnecting the call, I contacted my local dealer, from whom I purchased the setup. They refreshed the service, and it started working immediately within seconds.

This has caused unnecessary inconvenience and wasted my valuable time. I request better technical support efficiency to ensure customers do not face such issues in the future.

### 1/5 — constant issues with watching live matches

*2026-02-07, version 21.2*

abrupt messages to download jio hotstar to watch live matches it’s nuisance
call your customer services and they give complaint reference number yet problem is never resolved and we feel being cheated !

### 1/5 — Cricket fan

*2025-09-21, version 20.3*

Tried using this to watch the game and it didn’t work on a critical time - expecting better product from Tata

### 1/5 — Poor Service and No Resolution for Signal Issues

*2025-09-20, version 20.3*

I am very disappointed with Tata Sky service. My set-top box is not receiving any signal, and despite repeated complaints, the service team has not resolved the issue. Instead of fixing the problem, they put the responsibility on the customer, which is unfair. If the box is not getting signal, how can the customer be at fault?

As a paying customer, I expect proper service and quick support, but the response has been unhelpful and frustrating. Tata Sky needs to take accountability and ensure that such issues are resolved promptly instead of shifting the blame.

### 1/5 — Tata Play

*2025-08-22, version 20.1*

Most irritating DTH. One of the worst Apps that a man with common sense comes across in his life time.

### 1/5 — Extremely annoying self help

*2025-08-01, version 20.0*

I am not sure whether channels packs are making sense, for example you go for sports English still you won’t have all sports English channels .. chaotic app.. pathetic experience

### 1/5 — Worst DTH

*2025-08-01*

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Tata Play. I raised a complaint regarding a network issue, which occurred despite normal weather conditions (no rain or thunder). Instead of resolving the actual issue, your technician claimed that my set-top box was old and replaced it with a new one. However, without informing me, you continued the services on the old box and started charging me for both the old and new boxes. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. I never requested multiple connections, and I was not told about any additional charges or dual billing. I request that the charges for the old box be reversed immediately and that the old service be deactivated without any penalty. I expect a prompt resolution and refund for the incorrect charges

**Developer response:** Hi, this is not how it should have been. Kindly let us know your concern in detail through email at help@tataplay.com along with your details, and we shall assist you at the earliest.

### 1/5 — Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Promises and No Refund!

*2025-07-06*

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with Tata Play DTH. At the time of taking the subscription, I was clearly told that I would receive a refund upon surrendering the set-top box and dish. However, now that I’m cancelling my subscription, I’m being informed that no refund will be provided, despite returning the equipment in good condition.

This is completely misleading and unethical. If refund terms have changed, why wasn’t I informed earlier? Or was this just false assurance given to close the sale? Either way, this reflects extremely poor customer service and a lack of transparency.

Tata Play used to be known for its trustworthiness, but this experience has changed my perception completely. I do not recommend Tata Play to anyone who expects honesty and fair treatment.

**Developer response:** Hi, we would like to reach out to you and understand more about your concern. Please write to us at help@tataplay.com along with the registered mobile number or Subscriber ID, we shall assist you at the earliest.
