## What is Tattis?

Tattis is a forecast app made for mushroom foragers that shows where and when mushrooms are likely to grow. The app combines forest type, soil, terrain and up-to-date weather into a species-specific mushroom map covering all of Finland.

Map shows where they grow
- Species-specific heat map based on the combined effect of growing location and weather
- Daily updated forecast – the harvest follows the Finnish Meteorological Institute's weather data
- Forest type layers on top: grove, herb-rich heath, mesic heath, sub-xeric heath, xeric heath, barren heath
- Works offline in the forest – maps are stored on your phone, no signal required

Notifications when harvest time arrives
- Push notification when a species' harvest begins or improves
- Choose yourself which species you want to hear about
- You won't miss the best days when conditions align

Personal mushroom journal
- Save your own finding spots on the map as private
- If you wish, share your observation to the Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility (laji.fi) with one tap
- Browse your past trips and locations

Comprehensive species selection
- Tattis knows 32 species – all edible mushrooms recommended by the Finnish Food Authority plus other edible specialties

- Tattis doesn't track you. Your own mushroom spots are saved only on your phone, unless you decide to share them to laji.fi. Basic use of the app doesn't require signing in.

Remember: never eat a mushroom you're not sure about identifying. Tattis helps you find them, not identify them.
