There isn’t any combat. You gain “heroes” naturally as you make progress, and every quest you send adventurers on requires atleast 1 hero on the team to start the quest. Each quest gives you gold and upgrade materials. You use gold to recruit more adventurers and the materials to improve the heroes. Each hero and adventurer has their own special abilities that empower certain classes or positions that improve your power to take on tougher quests. A quaint idle game that you can play on the side and leave it to do it’s thing.
