## What is Taxi Hreyfill?

With the Hreyfill Taxi app on your Smartphone, you can quickly and easily book a taxi – skipping any telephone queues
Hreyfill Taxi receives orders in the Reykjavik and Reykjanes area.


By using your phone’s GPS the app finds your current location. Please note that if the app is not allowed access to the phone’s location the app will not be able to locate you. The app also needs access to the phone’s filesystem to save your configuration, messages and trip information.
Users with an account can have an username associated with the account number to book a trip on the account.

Can’t receive SMS confirmations at my US number. I’m able to login on website, but the app won’t accept the same login.

app only works to login once and only once with your phone number, then to use it again, you have to delete it. It is caching or doing something crazy that it can’t get you logged back in again if you have used it before so only option is to delete it entirely and start over if you want to use their service more than once. Fingers crossed the scheduled service for the airport I booked 2 days from now actually shows up to pick us up cause when I log back in now, the booking is gone!  App is very unreliable! However, the service and drivers themselves are top not ch! Definitely should work on this app as it would be a great travel aid for visitors to your city. Lots of young developers out there eager to do this kind of work, go get them.

Can’t register (and therefore use at all) if you don’t have an Iceland mobile number. This app is anti-tourist and entirely unusable. Breathtakingly rubbish.

Like others have mentioned I entered my US +1 phone number at the SMS sign up page and that’s as far as I got. Off to try a different way to get around Iceland.

The most difficult part is the signup process. I have an American phone number and for some reason, the app will not let you complete signup until you are actually IN Iceland already. Tried several times while I was in another country but kept receiving an error. Once I was signed up, I have had no issues using it. 
The app does have a relative outdated interface and is a bit slow, but it does work.
