I don’t know if this can be called a taxi app - you never know if a taxi is going to arrive - maybe somebody will pick you up and maybe don’t even if there are taxis available. Don’t recommend this app to anybody. ### 1/5 — Not Uber standard *2021-07-21, version 1.0.1* I got collected at slightly different location than what the app thought my GPS location was, and the whole trip got confused on the system. The taxi driver couldn’t amend the system, the whole trip got hung up on the app. I had to pay cash to the driver and now the app charged my card again. Be warned just get taxi traditional way, only small number of yellow taxis are actually using app as they say the app itself is horrendous. ### 5/5 — Easy to use taxi app - amazing service *2021-07-09, version 1.0.1* This was my first time visiting Madeira, and the app was a great way to book taxis and get around the island. The customer service was really friendly and helpful throughout! I tried to reset my login although I don’t think I had an account. But when I put in my UK number no code/data ever received back. ### 1/5 — Last minute cancel *2023-09-30* We spent $80 on a tour in Funchal but we were staying on the other side of the island, and had to get to Funchal at 10:30 in the morning. The Taxiin app cancelled our taxi 7 minutes before supposed arrival. We had to scramble to find something else or we would have been out all the money for the tour. Never use this app!!!! **Developer response:** In our terms and conditions it does say when you schedule a ride in remote areas it is best to contact the call centre because there are no taxis in remote areas. The price looks like a fixed price in the app but it’s not. The cars are super old and the driver didn’t wear a mask. The app is super slow and unresponsive. Copy and paste your credit card says that it’s invalid even when it was not. Had to type it all in again. It does not even let you autofill. Only used this becouse bolt was booked out. Bolt is also half the price if available and with new cars often electric. ### 1/5 — Warning! The app is easy to use and notifies you of where the driver is when they are on their way to you. It is possible for the app to select your location or you can select where you want to go if you are not sure of the address using the map. The drivers were all helpful and the office staff were great resolving any issues. We were trying to book a taxi to Pico do Arieiro for our group of 8 people and were unable to find a taxi that would get us there. Fabio went above and beyond to find us a taxi and maintained a super friendly and positive attitude throughout. Good application and gets better all the time. If something goes wrong Fabio on support is there to help, super friendly guy.
