## What is Tayyib?

Scan any food product and know — instantly — whether it's halal, and why.

Point Tayyib at a barcode or photograph the ingredient label, and it gives you a clear verdict on every single ingredient: Halal, Doubtful, or Haram — each with the reason behind it. No more squinting at E-numbers or guessing what "mono- and diglycerides" really means.

WHY TAYYIB IS DIFFERENT
Traditional halal scanner apps are lookup databases that go stale. The moment a product isn't in their list, they give up — and so do you. Tayyib was built for the consumer, by the consumer, to fix exactly that.

- A world-class global food database recognizes millions of products by barcode.
- No barcode or missing ingredients? Photograph the label. Tayyib reads it for you.
- Generative AI analyzes each ingredient and explains its ruling — and remembers it, so the database keeps getting smarter.
- A community of Muslims corrects and verifies entries, so accuracy grows over time.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Scan a barcode — Tayyib looks the product up instantly.
2. No listing? Snap a photo of the ingredients and let Tayyib read and analyze them.
3. Get an overall verdict with a confidence rating, plus a color-coded breakdown of every ingredient.
4. Tap any ingredient to see the reasoning. Disagree? Re-evaluate it or flag it for review.

WHAT YOU GET
- Per-ingredient verdicts — Halal, Doubtful, or Haram, each explained.
- An honest "Doubtful" category. When something is genuinely uncertain, Tayyib tells you why instead of pretending to be sure.
- Kosher and vegetarian indicators alongside halal.
- Alcohol and animal-derived ingredient detection.
- Barcode scanning and ingredient-label scanning (with manual entry as a fallback).
- A live feed of scans happening around the world — a global community eating Tayyib.
- Community verification: correct products, flag mistakes, and earn contributor credit. Admin-reviewed products get a Verified Accuracy badge.

BUILT ON TRUST
Verdicts are grounded in Islamic dietary guidance. Tayyib is honest about uncertainty — the "Doubtful" category exists so you're never given false confidence. Every verdict is AI-assisted and informational, not a religious ruling; for anything you're unsure about, verify with a qualified scholar.

No account. No ads. No tracking for advertising. Just a simple, modern tool to help you eat what is halal and Tayyib.

"O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth that is lawful and good (halal and tayyib)." — Qur'an 2:168

Tayyib is in active development, with much more to come. May it be of benefit.
