They’re professional grade. But all their apps UI suffer from the same problem which is they’re almost impossible to use on anything except a large iPad. Even on my plus/max sized iPhone I can’t tap the absolutely microscopic menus or icons without missing or tapping the wrong thing. Really needs larger UI to be useful in my workflow and I sincerely hope it’s implemented because they’re the closest thing we have to fabfilter on iPhone. ### 5/5 — Wrong app reviewed *2020-10-26* When I initially reviewed this, I had it mixed up with another app and gave it a horrible review. I apologize. This looks like a great app, but I haven’t yet fully figured out how to use it. After using the TB reverb for a couple of days I downloaded the EQ and Enhancer apps and I’m very happy to report all of these apps have a work flow and sound quality equal to or better than other pro end solutions I have used.... It is ok for any kind of tasks. But only one thing is confusing me: the presets. I can’t get why do you write about some “AUv3” limitations, while miRack, Drambo, and other AUv3 plug-ins can save files to local Filesystem and load it back. I have a library for miRack and for Drambo and use it. Sometimes it needs to compare 5 or 6 EQ curves, or 4 TB Barricade presets. Holy smokes, the features, value, and most importantly the sound of Toneboosters plugins blew me away. Unfortunately there are not many hosts out there that can provide multiple external side chain inputs. So implementing it might have very limited value today. I hoped to see the whole collection make it’s way to the ARM/Apple platform because these really are one of the industry standards of the last 20 years. Sometimes it’s hard for my thick fingers to get some of the smaller controls. But it’s not impossible. Other apps make it harder. As described on the tin, these apps require an AUv3- compatible host program to operate. Best wishes. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with LumaFusion *2022-02-17, version 1.5.0* As of 2/17/22, this app only crashes luma fusion as a plug in. ### 1/5 — Air Pod Pro *2021-08-15, version 1.4.7* Makes audio sound flat and doesn’t adjust any frequency on the Air Pod Pro ear buds. Once the app is closed audio sounds normal again. Seems like a compatibility problem. Would like my money back ### 1/5 — Where's the documentation? *2019-10-06* I believe it when the developers and reviewers say its a great app. Just don't know where to find the documentation that will explain the features and how to use them, or even just how to navigate the interface. The developer site devotes two pages about it on the omnibus user manual, and it's not platform specific. We strive for simplicity and transparency, and having identical operations for both is essential. Amazing. I have been making beats for more than 22 years, and only a few years ago migrated to Garageband on the iPad from a clunky, hardware-laden home studio. I thought I knew every trick in the GarageBand book, but this app is god mode. I was fed up with Apple’s built-in AUV3 BandEQ module (not the basic 3-channel EQ) because it was so glitchy, which is why I finally decided to get this. I can’t believe it was only $10. If this app was $40 to $50 and I had demoed it first, I would have EASILY paid that. I love the ease of adding more channels. The per-channel magic assist or whatever it’s called is actually very good and helpful 50% of the time. The realtime oscilloscope paired with the dynamic EQ mode is just awesome. I’ve been using the AI assist for the final mix, which also comes in handy and is a nice touch. Even HQ mode legitimately improves sound quality. There are so many great functions, and I find none of them gimmicky. The app is also rock-solid stable in GarageBand. 10 stars for this. I can’t commend the devs enough on a great, great job coding this. ### 5/5 — The most powerful eq for iPhone *2023-11-21* I was in love with fabfilter pro q on my iPad but there was no version for my iPhone. With tb eq i now have a very similar eq at a much lower price and it is iPhone compatible 😀 it works fantastic.. i only need reading glasses now. Definitely plan on checking out some of their other apps some other time, they make quality stuff! ### 5/5 — Affordable DYANMIC EQ for Ipad *2022-04-22* Was looking for an EQ to tame and sculpt some of my synth and keyboard patches for live shows. This fits the bill perfectly! I tried the demo on Windows first and was sold. The analog circuit adds some subtle saturation if you need it. Adding 16 independent dynamic bands is more than enough control for projects and shows. I don’t use the AI, but I mix on my laptop and workstation, not my iPad. Use this as an AUV3 in AUM and KeyStage, it can easily be the only EQ on your iPad. If you have a problem with the price… just go look at the prices on MAC and Windows for EQ’s with half the functionality! EDIT: An idea to make this even better than it is: NEGATIVE dynamic ratios! I would love to be able to quickly punch up about 500-1k on a piano to add some good knock to the sound but maintaining a level frequency response on the sustain. You all don’t have a multi-band compressor; this would hit the mark even harder than you already did!
