Can’t trust this
After reading the reviews & seeing all the personal information they require just to purchase cards is insanity. Would never in a million years use this app. If any devs are reading this, you might wanna listen to your community before your app crashes & burns before it even gets off the ground.
Cancels order for no reason
Made a submission for first time loved the app then after two days the app canceled my submission for no reason after I just shipped it off then ofcourse they have no help number or live chat horrible idea to automatically cancel people orders for no reason deff will not be using again
Sponsoring bad people
I joined a group called pokemon tcg sell and trade. This groups is filled with scammers that pay to scam people. Not to mention the inappropriate stuff posted. They use your photo in their main page so if your affiliated id rethink that with this group.
If you want to be ripped off
Since they limit and do not allow new buyers you get absolutely terrible rates.
Want to sell? Do 99% of the work to make $0.01 per card
If you want to sell specifically Pokemon cards for as high as $1 or as low as $0.0002 to businesses only (you cannot buy cards if you are not a business), then this is the app for you! But if you want to sell your cards to individual collectors who’ll pay you significantly more than these low ball bulk prices, go elsewhere immediately. I understand this app is for BULK transaction sales to businesses only, but … I’m gonna guess whoever made this app has never sold cards before. Typically, the only ones selling bulk cards are businesses… to other businesses. Considering the buyers on this app have minimums set despite their very very bad pricing, you essentially need 500+ cards to even begin to attempt selling (most of the businesses buying cards had an average buy price of $0.05 with a minimum of $10 but some as high as $50. Do the math, lol some, and then move on to a better e-comm site where you can get paid what your cards are actually worth).
I have a collection of about 300-ish early, early Pokemon cards from 1998 to 2002 in English, German, and japanese. Are businesses on TCG looking for these cards? Does anyone even WANT non-English cards on TCG? Who. Knows! It isn’t clear at all and here’s why: I have no idea what these older cards are called / what name they’d be grouped under for bulk sales. Pokemon has about 100 different types of cards grouped under various names (the cards have been around since at least 1998. So that’s a lot of cards… not to mention promo cards, limited buy cards, pre-sale cards, etc…). I dunno what my cards would be called and TCG offers no in-app explanation to help you even though you most likely aren’t a current collector if you’re trying to sell (and if you’re business trying to sell, you probably don’t know, either… collectors know! But they aren’t looking at apps where they aren’t allowed to purchase anything nor are collectors looking to sell parts of their collection at $0.01 per card. The majority of collectors also don’t want to sell off their things to businesses because they care about the cards still and would prefer they go to another collector. I’ve been buying and selling collectibles for years for various games, anime, and manga, and have rarely encountered collectors who are not like this, in both the Japanese and English speaking worlds. Clearly I don’t sell cards, so your mileage may vary).
TCG forces sellers to go to Google to research, where Google advertises other e-comm sites with significantly better pricing for SINGLE cards. TCG plays itself by forcing would-be sellers to go to Google to look up explanations and thereby discover the low-ball pricing businesses on TCG offer. Even when you initially create an account, there is no explanation for how the app works… you just end up on the main page with a list of names (it’s unclear they’re businesses. Nothing is clear. I figured out they were businesses only because when you make an account, you choose Seller or Buyer, but under buyer it says “businesses only.”)… You have no idea how you’re even supposed to sell anything and spend 5-10 minutes trying to figure out how to make a listing before realizing YOU CAN’T!
You have to manually—yes, manually—go through each individual business and look at their (bad) prices to see if they’ll even take you type of cards (and as I said above, you’re forced to Google if you don’t know… Is it so hard to offer explanations within the app? Evidently yes… Nothing turns off buyers and sellers faster than making the buying/selling process time consuming, confusing, and difficult, and then you also make nothing as a seller! Why would I spend even 15 minutes researching a card type to then figure out which business will even buy my cards if I know I’m going to make, AT BEST, $10, and that’s if I even meet the buyers required minimum!).
Is there a fee to sell? Dunno. Presumably yes! But It’s not advertised when you sign up, so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Why would I go through every section of the app to look for this info when the best price is $1? Most online markets charge about 10% for a sale. 10% of $1 is “only” $0.10, sure, but it adds up fast especially when a business wants to only buy from you if you can sell a minimum of $50 worth @ $0.01 - $1.
All that being said, the app does run very quick and quite smoothly. The sign up process is fast and easy. But that’s all the pros I have for this app. As a platform for selling cards, it’s terrible and only meant for people who don’t care and would just as easily trash the cards (which is faster than attempting to sell on TCG…). As a small business myself, I do not like dealing with sellers who DGaF about the merchandise they’re selling because you end up receiving dirty items, broken items, sometimes straight trash (ripped in half and taped back together, bad home stitch-up repairs, stuff covered in suspicious and disgusting stains, smells of cigarettes…). All of that is fine if I KNOW what I’m getting. But bulk sale + low price + seller that would just as easily trash the items as they would sell them = danger).
As a seller, I already have to do a LOT of work to photograph the cards, notate any deficiencies, explain when and where it’s from, package and ship it, deal with any and all shipping issues, etc… Why would I then give myself the ADDITIONAL work of seeking out buyers through a manual, time-consuming process when other online markets do this part for me by allowing me to post my item and promote it?
If you’re BUYING cards as a business, this app is a no brainer (assuming sellers exist on it at all). You literally put up what you’re looking for and then just sit back. So buyers do almost nothing, pay almost nothing, while sellers bend over backward for MAYBE $10. :|
Maybe I don’t know anything about selling cards. I dunno. But I do know about selling online and selling collectibles specifically, and if there were an app for selling, say, figures and models that were setup like this, it would bomb.
