### 4/5 — No quiz?

*2023-05-19, version 2.2.41*

The app is great. But Iphone doesn’t seem to get the quizz function?

### 3/5 — Quiz

*2022-11-12, version 2.2.39*

I used this app on Android and was much more helpful and accessible. I don’t know if the app change on IPhone, I don’t have access to quizzes and Master Tung points.

### 3/5 — Spanish language Ir’s necesary

*2021-08-23, version 2.2.30*

Not 5 stars because there is no Spanish language

### 3/5 — Great but...

*2021-06-13, version 2.2.29*

Would have been great if you could quiz yourself by Herb categories instead of only 20 random herbs at once, felt kind of cheated after paying and realizing it was limited to this when quizzing on herbs. Otherwise it’s a good app with abundant information

### 3/5 — App so big

*2021-04-25, version 2.2.29*

This app is over 400 mb. Please make smaller!!

### 3/5 — I am not happy with the new format!!

*2019-04-18, version 2.2.6*

Please give me the old version of this app back. This is much more difficult to use and now worthless to me. I’ve been using this app for years and updated the app and EVERYTHING changed!! Very frustrating!

### 4/5 — Update: Why did you change the format?!? 😡Must have!!!

*2019-01-04, version 2.2.1*

I don't know how anyone could ever get through TCM school without this app. I use it daily to look up obscure points, double check myself, and now study for boards. It is worth way more than what they charge for it!

### 3/5 — Font Size

*2019-01-01, version 2.2.0*

How can I adjust the font size.

### 5/5 — Excellent product

*2016-06-25, version 2.1.1*

Perfect to study Chinese medicine herbs. Just wrote a long review but Apple automatically deleted it permanently without giving me the option to save it after telling me the user name was taken.

### 5/5 — Herbs, pts,...

*2016-02-22, version 2.1.0*

It has everything

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2015-11-03, version 2.1.0*

I've never had a crash. Developer has added more and more content which is great! Tungs points, although not comprehensive, are also included which is fabulous. If abdominal acupuncture, Yamamoto scalp acupuncture and the Japanese toyohari stomach diagnosis can be included that would just be extraordinary. Honestly this is just such a good app I've been using it since I was a student and now as a practitioner I still find it useful.

### 5/5 — Don’t have TCM Clinic Aid? You should!!!

*2015-06-02, version 2.0.16*

Are you a TCM student who doesn’t know what resources to invest in? Choose this! TCM Clinic Aid is indispensable. It’s FULL of information; it’s well-organized; it’s not a million dollars! I use this all the time. I used to check all the information in CAM, ACT and Deadman, but realized I didn’t need to keep doing that because the information is dead on. I had a question and emailed the tech support and they responded right away (pointing out nicely it was my error not theirs :)
So this is all to say, if you are thinking about getting this app you probably should. Also, I added the quizzes recently and I LOVE them. It’s so helpful with remembering point location and herb indications. Having the quizzes at my disposal whenever also means I’m studying more.

### 5/5 — Indispensable

*2015-04-05, version 2.0.11*

A superior replacement for a hundred pounds of books. I use this in my practice as my go-to reference, always in my pocket. Herbs within formulas are color-coded for temperature, which is hugely helpful. The in-app purchases are a bargain. My #1 app for making my life easier.

### 2/5 — Needs serious updates

*2014-09-10, version 2.0.10*

This is a great mobile app but the updates or potential to buy them is long overdue. The herbs and formulas are unorganized, outdated, and more. I am willing to pay to have a major update especially how helpful and useful this took is while I am in school. Thank you

### 3/5 — Buena

*2014-06-01, version 2.0.9*

Is a great app but I miss Spanish language.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2013-12-14, version 2.0.5*

I just wanted to say how much I love this app. It has such a wealth of information, and it is so accessible. I only wish I had an iPhone whine I was in school, and that I could have started using this app a to help me during my school years. Regardless, I find it very helpful as a practitioner, and have been recommending it to all my practitioner friends.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cannot open the app

*2025-06-19, version 2.2.51*

I paid for this app and suddenly I cannot even open it. It is disappearing when I open it. I tried deleted the app and put it back on but it’s no hope. It’s quite annoying when you trying to look up for references but it’s not working.

### 1/5 — Dont have tung points

*2021-03-15*

I look for tung and appears this app. After paid i see dont have. O would like money back plz

### 1/5 — Annoyed

*2014-05-12, version 2.0.7*

This app used to have have both the CAM and deleted Deadman Acu-point location references. The latest update deleted the Deadman. They don't tell you this. Deadman locations are what is required for the National board exam.

### 1/5 — 100% worthless

*2014-03-08, version 2.0.7*

Not user friendly and you have to pay for add ons that are not very effective. Has more herbs than point combinations, not nearly worth the price.

### 1/5 — CANNOT OPEN :(

*2013-05-13, version 1.3.8*

After the last update I cannot open the App. I was using it without any problems but the last update made the App worthless. Please fix it soon. Sometimes I wonder about download the updates.

### 1/5 — Since latest update it will not open anymore

*2013-05-13, version 1.3.8*

Have had this app for about two years and it was great but since latest update it no longer works at all. It crashes immediately upon trying to open it and no way to get in touch with developers...

### 1/5 — Not working anymore.

*2013-02-07, version 1.3.5*

Not working anymore. Please fix it! Keypad is sideways, can't search and it is freezing. It's a great app, but only if you can use it. Be happy to change the review when you fix the app.

### 1/5 — Can't open

*2012-02-26, version 1.2.19*

Mine crashed too and I haven't been able to open it for months.

### 1/5 — Yuk

I love how it doesn't open anymore and I lost all the custom data I put into it.

### 1/5 — Lac

*2011-12-15, version 1.2.13*

Crashing!!!!!!Can't open the app since update 24 hours ago. Who do I need to contact to fix this?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Worth the money

*2023-04-10, version 2.2.41*

So much information about herbs and their pharmacological applications, along with other information about acupuncture points and a diagnostics section. A very useful app for amateur and professional alike. 👍🏼

### 5/5 — Great app

*2022-09-24, version 2.2.38*

Very useful

### 5/5 — Get This App - Master Tung Points

*2022-07-20, version 2.2.37*

I purchased this app with the hopes that it would be a great quick reference for Master Tung’s points and I was actually surprised at how robust this app is.

It really is a must for any acupuncturist as it is one of the best reference sources that I have seen. There is so much to remember and having quick access to so much is convenient and greatly appreciated.

The only gripe I have is the Master Tung points are only listed by either their English or Chinese name and not by the numbers, which I wish was an option and hope it will be in the future as it will make it faster to locate the point I am in need of.

Overall though this app is well worth the $25 I spent (purchased the Tung points options and Tongue Dx)!

### 5/5 — 5 Stars

*2021-03-17, version 2.2.29*

Amazing App for all Acupuncture practitioners.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2021-02-07, version 2.2.27*

This is an absolute must for all TCM students and practitioners. The maker is incredibly generous in what the free app contains plus there are a few optional add on’s that you can purchase such as Chinese herb pronunciation, tongue and pulse picture, all priced very reasonably. I have bought all the add ones and highly recommend doing so as they are incredibly helpful. I would just like to say a massive thank you to the developer for the generosity of sharing all this information in one app, it’s saved me so many hours during my herbal studies and I use it every day. Of all the apps I have ever bought, I have to say this probably is number 1 on my list.

### 5/5 — Chinese Herbal Formulae App

*2020-01-06, version 2.2.14*

This is a very handy app as an Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist. Perhaps it could have some more formulae there are so many! But it is really handy. I love the pictures and detail etc. I recommend it and it is quick to use in clinical practice. Ilana Sowter

### 5/5 — Very Generous!

*2019-02-23, version 2.2.6*

This is such a useful app. Incredibly generous in its scope and it’s accessibility. As a reference guide and learning tool (particularly for herbs) it is invaluable as part of a wider learning experience. Thankyou

### 5/5 — Great study aid

*2019-01-31, version 2.2.6*

Look up points, RX, herbs, pharmacies

### 5/5 — Best TCM app

*2019-01-29, version 2.2.6*

I started using the free version of this app during acupuncture school (‘09) and found it to be so helpful that I bought the paid version. It’s a great resource that I go to regularly. The updates keep improving the value of the app too. I did have an issue when I transferred from an Android platform to iPhone and the seller was quick to respond and walked me through the process. I highly recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Three years of school in one app

*2017-01-16, version 2.1.2*

This is by far the most thorough and best app out there if you're looking for a pocket reference guide for all you covered in acupuncture school. Points, indications, contras, herbs and formulas (for CA or NCCAOM), tongue and pulse, it's all here.
One especially great feature is if you want to see the ingredients in any formula you click on the herbs and it shows a pic and full information about that herb.
Also, if you want to edit or add something in a field you have that option as well.
