Wish it were on MAC too *2016-06-24, version 2.1.1* I really love this app. I love the fact that I can make my own custom stuff and add notes. I really wish it was on Mac as well and share data between the two. Allowing us to choose our own color scheme is nice but there are too many options and too many things to choose and change. Please add color themes for us to choose or give us less options to change. The default is too bland and choosing all the different colors can be had an confusing for someone design & technically challenged. ### 5/5 — The Essential TCM app *2013-05-01* This is the essential app for practitioners of Chinese medicine. It contains a wealth of information from a variety of sources and from time to time new material is added. And you can tailor the content to meet your own needs, adding more detail as required. Great value for money. ### 5/5 — Great Program! *2012-09-06, version 1.1.0* I was hoping that when I bought the in-app purchase of the tongue diagnosis there would be pictures included but there isn't unfortunately. I know as far as apps go the price is a bit high but compared to the cost of a good TCM textbook this is light years more useful and probably about a quarter of the price. I also have the non-HD version of this app but I really like the herb pictures and the sideshow of the herbs in each formula! If you're studying TCM this is really a must have app. If you are practicing already, this is a must have reference that will save you tons of time in your herb room. Great stuff, but I would love to see tongue diagnosis pictures in a future update and hopefully soon as my board exam is in November LOL. ### 4/5 — Great study tool and reference! *2011-11-27, version 1.0.2* I've been waiting for this app to come out with an ipad version, and i'm really pleased with the results! This content looks so great on the bigger screen, and i love how easy it is to wander through herbs and formulas to start making connections. I use the quiz function almost daily in prepration for exams! Developer support has been really great as well. I hope eventually they add features like english translations of the chinese herb names, a comparative overview of herbs within a category (e.g, which herbs are hot and which are cold; which enter the st vs the kid, perhaps in table format), and sections on needling techniques and meridian theory. Nothing. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Useful *2024-08-22, version 2.2.16* This is very useful, not sure why but I believe in the Android app the temperatures of the herbs are done via colors of the herb names. That is incredibly useful but missing from the macos app. I wish they would add that, but it's a very helpful app. Keep up the good work! ### 5/5 — Very Handy *2023-08-10* If you're a clinician, this app is really handy. There are many ways to sort things and search for them. Gary was incredibly fast in his response and had me sorted with all in-app purchases restored. ### 5/5 — Still holds best after all these years *2018-04-22, version 2.1.6* I have had an iPad since it first came out and this was the first TCM app I ever had in my android phone and iPad, and even after all these updates it still holds up to the best. I just had to delete around 20 apps because they were no longer compatible with the new updates. This app is a complete TCM app and you won’t find better out there and kudos to the developer for keeping up. This is a must have app for all TCM students and doctors as it is my go to app. ### 5/5 — Great app keeps getting better and better *2018-01-07, version 2.1.6* Its great especially for tcm theory. I would love to see better tund acupuncture point images -needle examples as theyre out there but this is a great app. Being more classical i have different doses and pathophysiology language than tcm but this app is by far the best acu/herb compilation out there. ### 5/5 — The Best! *2015-11-16, version 2.1.0* This is hands down the best TCM app. It has everything, herbs, points and formulas.
