## What is TCP?

TCP - SerialLogger is a professional tool for engineers, embedded developers, and technicians who need to see exactly what their devices are sending — in real time.

Whether you're debugging a PLC, monitoring an RS-232 sensor on macOS, or inspecting raw TCP traffic on macOS, iPhone, or iPad, TCP - SerialLogger gives you a clean, fast, and configurable window into your data stream.

Three ways to connect
Connect as a TCP Client to reach any network device, run as a TCP Server to accept incoming connections, or plug in a serial device on macOS. Serial port parameters — baud rate, data bits, parity, and stop bits — are fully configurable, with support for rates from 300 up to 921600 baud.

See your data the way you need it
Choose between Plain Text, HEX, or a side-by-side HEX + ASCII view. Display incoming data as a continuous stream, split each packet onto its own line, or add timestamps to every message. TCP - SerialLogger intelligently detects packet boundaries using Auto Detect, Idle Gap, common line endings (LF, CR, CRLF), ETX, or a custom byte sequence you define.

Automatic file logging
Select an output folder and TCP - SerialLogger will write received data to a .log file automatically. Add a date to the filename, enable daily log rotation, and let it run for as long as your system allows.

Connection profiles
Save your most-used connections as named profiles and organize them into groups. Switch between devices in seconds — no retyping, no mistakes.

Live diagnostics
A dedicated diagnostics panel tracks bytes received, message count, connection uptime, last message timestamp, and — in server mode — connected client addresses. Everything updates live, so you always know what's happening.

Private and fully functional
TCP - SerialLogger is always free, ad-free, and fully functional. The optional support purchase does not unlock features. The app does not connect to any external servers on its own and does not collect, sell, or share user data.
