I swear I’ve had it, I’m having issues with my legacy purchase 
Get the subscription AGAIN even though I have paid for this for LIFE and surprise the speech won’t turn on apple is obvious no help. I swear if there was a different option for my son we would not use this app. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am autistic and have verbal shutdowns, so I use symbol AAC and sometimes basic text to speech. TD Snap is the only program that really works for me, due to the customizability and ease of editing/use. But the pricing… It used to be a one time 50$ purchase, and now it’s 10$ a month? That is so unfair to people who are completely nonverbal. You shouldn’t need a subscription for communication. I couldn’t afford the 50$ fee in the first place, and especially not a 10$ a month subscription. The workaround I’ve been using is copying from the message window and pasting it to the IOS Live Speech to talk, but that won’t work for many others, ex. small children or those with more severe mental disabilities, and it sucks so bad not being able to have an integrated experience even as someone with low support needs.

This app had a future until the voice was gone, my kid is non-verbal, he seems to like it when he heard the voice, do I have to pay extra? I canceled the subscription, there is another app not making this mistake. I would come back if the developers fix this.

Why bother offering the product as a free purchase when you have to pay to hear speech in even one simple voice now? I was prepared to set up all of our iPads for inpatients with TD snap because I used to love the simple navigation, text to speech, and LOVED the apple pen option for writing to speech for my post-op head and neck cancer patients. I’ll be opting for something else as we won’t be purchasing a monthly subscription to use the product. At least one voice should be offered free. If the patient likes the product, then they can download and pay for upgrades.

Hello Tobbi Dynovox. (Sorry if I typed the name wrong!) I’m looking for the best app for my sister who has verbal shutdowns. This has went on one of the best parts of the ranks for us. I’ll say the good things and the bad things.

Bad: The voice requires you to pay in order to hear it. The pictures are kinda… Well… Creepy.

Good: Its very easy to use. The colors are pretty bright and pleasing to the eye. It has a search bar, in case you do not know where the button you are looking for is. It only takes about two or three clicks or scrolls to find the button you are looking for. It has a keyboard which is very easy to use, and you are able to draw.

Overall, it’s pretty good! I’d use it, but please make it so that you do not need to pay in order to use the voice.

Comprei a versão do PODD versão vitalício, sendo único valor pelo App, após um período comprei outra versão do AUS - PODD- 60 - Sintaxe, estão fazendo duas cobranças no valor de R$14,99 e R$29,99. Gostaria de saber qual seria o motivo dessas cobranças em meu cartão de crédito, sendo que foi realizado a compra do App em único valor na versão vitalício.

Nous avions acheté la version à une cinquantaine d’euros pour que notre fille puisse travailler avec son orthophoniste. Elle ne l’avait pas utilisé depuis quelques temps. Qu’elle ne fut pas notre surprise en voyant que maintenant pour l’utiliser il fallait payer 10 euros par mois pour avoir la synthèse vocale. C’est de l’escroquerie pur et simple sachant que sans la synthèse vocale l’application perd tout son intérêt.

Depois do upgrade que fiz do iPad antigo para o novo eu perdi o áudio que já tinha sido pago no app do aparelho antigo, preciso da funcionalidade ativa, não posso pagar mais uma vez por um serviço que já foi pago.

I’ve been using this app for over a year for my nonverbal daughter. It has been helpful but I’ve decided to cancel because of technical issues. 

Almost every month, the speaking voice stops working even though my subscription is active. Since this is an AAC app, the speech output is the most important feature. Having it repeatedly fail is incredibly frustrating and disruptive. 

Each time it happens, I have to contact customer support to get it working again. While short has been able to fix it, I shouldn’t have to make a phone call every single month just to use a feature I’m paying for.

For an app that families rely on for daily communication, I expected much reliability. I hope the developers address these recurring issues. At this point, I can no longer continue with this service and will be taking my business elsewhere. We

I’m tired of both Apple and TD Snap pointing fingers at each other telling me it’s the other parties problem for the speaking button to not turn on.  I’ve subscribed downloaded deleted and resubscribed 10 times today and nothing works for the speaking button to turn on. Absolutely terrible developers for not making sure that the one Main feature we all care about for our kids (text to speech) fails to work now this app is now useless. Just deplorable development team.

The app is fine. But this company is absolutely vile for charging a subscription service when before it was a one time purchase. Can you imagine telling someone they have to pay a monthly fee to be able to speak? And if you forget then you are left voiceless?

If you think it’s inhumane and cruel, you’d be right. This company needs to change the way they operate. Say what you want about services that cost $300. At least they understand a flat fee and transferable accounts.

We paid for the app several years ago and now with the update we have to start paying $10 monthly? Feeling nickled and dimed to death… this is my daughter’s voice…. And all of a sudden you can just turn it off and demand money to turn it back on…. Shameful… special needs people are just a way to make money for some companies. I hear really good stuff about this app and download it but then when I type something in it says that i have to pay and I thought it was supposed to be free but now I have to PAY to USE speech!? What about all of the people who can’t afford it or really need speech text?

So easy to customize and so much fun to work with! Words can be added on the go in a minute, page sets easy to build completely from scratch if you like, the most flexible app, you can say I’m just in love with it! You can make your own symbols right in the button editor, combining symbols or even stuff from the web that it can find directly in the editor. 
I absolutely recommend it, my favorite is motor plan 66 page set from the in built ones, but it has a lot of other robust options. You can make anything possible with this app, especially if you have a student or a loved one who has variety of expressive and receptive language needs!

I just got this app the other day because I experience verbal shutdowns. I love it so much, it’s a huge upgrade from the old app I was using. It’s so easy to customize and make so it fits my brain. You can even share page sets with friends and community members!

My only complaint is that I can’t change the undo symbol. It is stuck as a default one. Someone in the AAC Image Library community drew a beautiful rainbow undo button that matches my back button. 

I also suggest that the developers reach out to the ACCIL and see if you could link your image database to their’s. They are also paired with Global Symbols

As an experienced SLP working in this field for many years, using many different apps and devices for AAC, TD Snap is by far the best. Better than the most popular one out there that is being used by the schools. Many options within the app. Less searching for icons with tax prediction, and maximum of three pages to find your word check it out. It’s seriously the best. And Tobii Dynovox customer service is great as well.

Went to find the app as it went missing paid for mind you,
And now it’s a subscription. How awful. I hope you feel bad. Refund my money for the old app.
