### 3/5 — Remove or will be suing for defamation of character

*2025-09-24*

Someone has written on this app and has said awful things about me is that is starting to gain traction. All my information is displayed and co workers are starting to see and it is hindering my career. I need the creator to reach out to my and delete my profile or I will file a case for defamation of character

**Developer response:** This review is a mix-up 🙃. Honest Tea never posts or shares anyone’s info publicly, it’s a private AI tool for analyzing your own chats only. No profiles, no gossip, no exposure.

### 2/5 — Kinda trash

*2025-09-21*

The fact that you have to pay for the app to even try it is ridiculous…. Im sure chat gpt can give you the same feedback about a person if your that desperate to get ai to tell you if the guy is treating you like garbage or not.

**Developer response:** Ouch 😅 fair take, but here’s the tea, ChatGPT will give you vibes, Honest Tea gives you receipts ☕🚩. We’re a tiny team making dating safer (and a little funnier), so yeah, it’s paywalled to keep the AI running and your convos private. If a guy’s acting trash, we’ll call it quicker than your group chat 💅.

### 2/5 — Can’t give review without checking out app

*2025-09-19*

I am forced to give a review before getting anywhere on the app.
I’ve nothing to note as I’ve not actually used the app yet. I’ll update once I am able.

**Developer response:** Totally fair 😂, reviewing an app before using it is like giving Yelp stars before the food even arrives. Just to clarify: reviews aren’t actually required to use Honest Tea (promise ✋). We’re a small team and real feedback helps us grow, so thanks for dropping one anyway! Hope you’ll update once you’ve had a proper sip. ☕✨

### 1/5 — NOT FREE APP

*2025-09-18*

This app makes you leave a review and pay $8 subscription (that you can cancel anytime) before you can even use the app. Make it make sense.

**Developer response:** We hear you 👀 but just to clear it up, leaving a review isn’t mandatory (pinkie promise 🤞). And yep, the app runs on a subscription because keeping the AI sharp + private isn’t free (we’re literally a tiny team brewing all this tea ☕). $8 covers unlimited vibes and can be canceled anytime, no traps. Honest reviews help us reach more people, but no one’s forcing you to write one. 💅

### 1/5 — Defamation

*2025-09-15*

I have found myself on the app with negative reviewed from two ppl in assuming in my city. They ruined my current relationship and have been stained by this. Crazy thing is since it’s anonymous I’m not sure who it could be as I do not date people in my city. This app is anonymous slander

**Developer response:** This seems to be a mix-up with another app. Honest Tea does not allow users to post, share, or review anyone publicly. Our app only analyzes text you personally upload for private dating safety insights. Nothing is ever posted or shared about you.

### 3/5 — Couldn’t use

*2025-09-15*

This app has a free trial but sets up an automatic subscription. You can’t use the app without paying. Apps like this should be free so users women can know about partners / potential partners easily. I suggest having paid features or even add ads to your app so everyone has access to your app. Was so excited to use it but I can’t afford it right now unfortunately.

**Developer response:** We totally get it, subscriptions can feel like a sneaky ninja move. 🥷💳 But don’t worry, nothing happens without your thumbs-up in the app store (no surprise charges, we promise!). We hear your suggestion about ads vs. paid features, ads might buy us coffee, but subscriptions keep the lights on ☕💡. Thanks for the feedback, and we’ll keep working to make the app worth every penny (and hopefully fewer ninjas).

### 1/5 — Took my money

*2025-09-13*

Said it was three day free trial and then took my money

### 1/5 — Not for me

*2025-09-11*

Scam why do I have to pay to even get on the app

**Developer response:** This review is misleading. Our app does not charge users to “get on the app.” We provide a 3-day free trial so everyone can explore the features at no cost before making a decision. Payment is only required if you choose to continue after the trial. Please be assured that we are transparent about this process.

### 1/5 — Makes stuff up

*2025-09-10*

Tried it. Created a fake person and it gave me the same negative score for both fake ai generated people. No information on sources or additional information how the score is generated or calculated.

**Developer response:** Thanks for trying Honest Tea and sharing your feedback. The Honest Tea Score is generated using our proprietary AI model that analyzes patterns in language and behavior, not from external sources. Because the system is designed for real conversations, results may feel repetitive with AI-generated or fake profiles. We’re always improving transparency, and your input helps guide future updates.

### 1/5 — Violating human rights

*2025-09-09*

This app is horrible and should be banned and violate human rights and people on the other end are using other people’s pictures without their consent and throwing them online and saying horrible things about them This app is horrible and should be taken down immediately.

**Developer response:** Hi Anonymous$13, thanks for sharing your feedback. We believe there’s been a misunderstanding, our app does not allow anonymous posts or share anyone’s pictures publicly. It’s an AI-powered tool that gives an Honest Tea Score on a potential date, and no user content is ever posted online. We’d be happy to clarify further if you have questions.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Farming Reviews

*2025-10-06*

The only reason this has a ton of good reviews is because it’s required to review it before you use it. I’m guessing people are quickly clicking 4-5 stars and moving on. You cannot skip this like the team says. Once you review it, there’s a paywall. You gotta subscribe for $7.99 a month (or week, I forgot) to use it.

The developer responses are unprofessional 💀 Did teenagers make this? Anyway, just updating my review.

**Developer response:** Teenagers? If only. Maybe then we’d have TikTok clout and less caffeine debt. Reviews aren’t required and the price tag’s right there in bold. Honest Tea isn’t hiding behind filters or fake free trials; we serve it straight. If that feels unprofessional, maybe Honest Tea just isn’t your flavor.

### 1/5 — Subscription before using the app

*2025-10-02*

It’s really frustrating when you can’t even try the app without a subscription. As a college student I would rather save that 7 dollars for other expenses than wasting it on an app that I may not like…. It would be helpful if you had even like an hour free trial…

### 1/5 — Unethical and just wrong

*2025-09-28*

As a woman, I believe there should be a way for men to defend themselves. My boyfriend was just unfairly posted on this app. I can understand if its a matter of security, but things lik claim on men integrity can just come from salty women. Even google review, yelp etc. gives opportunities to respond to reviews on your business.

**Developer response:** 👀 Tea check: nobody’s “posting” your boyfriend here, bestie. Honest Tea doesn’t do public call-outs, profiles, or dragging men on a wall of shame 💀. It’s a private AI tool where users scan their own chats for red/green flags 🚩☕. Sounds like you’ve got us mixed up with a totally different app.

### 1/5 — Makes no sense?

*2025-09-25*

Had me leave a review before check out app. Then basically forced me to subscribe without even trying the app. Offered subscription with no exit button

Addition: not an AI bot. Really disheartening to see the developers and owners of this app not take responsibility for their coercive ways on trying to get you into a subscription. Theyre right they dont force you into a subscription, BUT in order to use ANY part of the app you mist pay.

**Developer response:** 👀 Sounds like a horror movie: “Trapped in the Subscription Screen.” Plot twist though, Honest Tea doesn’t force reviews and there’s always an exit ✌️. Promise it’s not a hostage situation, just an AI spilling red flags ☕🚩.

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2025-09-25*

You’re asked for a review upfront. You can’t access any features without paying and once paid you HAVE to post someone? There’s literally no way around it. I deleted my account and cancelled the subscription.

**Developer response:** 👀 Plot twist: Honest Tea doesn’t make you post anyone, ever. No public roasting, no secret gossip boards, just private AI vibes checks ☕🚩. Sounds like we got mixed up with another app, bestie. But hey, at least you cancelled before spilling tea in the wrong cup 💅.

### 1/5 — No free trial

*2025-09-25*

I don’t like that you’re automatically asked to leave a review on something you just downloaded. Even though it’s optional, it’s still a little weird. Secondly, I don’t first apps that don’t allow at least 3 days for a free trial. Those apps show confidence by letting you see and use certain features prior to making you pay because they know their product speaks for itself.

**Developer response:** Fair tea 🍵, asking for stars on day one can feel like “so… marriage?” on the first date 😅. Reviews are totally optional though 🤞. We’re just a tiny team, and every review helps us get in front of more people. As for the trial, some apps go free first, others go straight to premium. We trust the tea speaks for itself ☕✨.

### 1/5 — Makes no sense?

*2025-09-23*

Had me leave a review before check out app. Then basically forced me to subscribe without even trying the app. Offered subscription with no exit button

### 1/5 — Tea Posts Lies About Minors

*2025-09-23*

This app allows people to hide behind anonymity and post slander and lies. My minor son is on this page with girls saying he is actually 20 and if he flirts with you or talks to you at school he’s a pedo. His friend got posted saying he’s a women beater. He’s 16 and hasn’t never even had a girlfriend. This app is dangerous and needs to vet the info and ages of those being posted. Unintended consequences, people have sued and committed suicide for less.

### 1/5 — .

*2025-09-23*

I just joined this app and was in for a good 10 minutes and I invited three friends to get in just for it to try and make me pay when I got back on the app!

### 1/5 — 🤔🤨

*2025-09-20*

They market it as a weekly subscription that can be cancelled at anytime but then attempt to charge you for an annual subscription.

**Developer response:** Hey bestie 👋 just to clear the air, Honest Tea doesn’t secretly slide in annual charges. If you picked the weekly plan, it stays weekly 💅. The annual option’s there only if you choose it, and both can be canceled anytime in two taps. No tricks, just tea. ☕✨

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Mean girls app

*2025-10-04*

This app is awful they are allowing 16 year olds to be posted and judged on things like the way they look. This is just another way for people to hide behind a keyboard and ruin someone’s reputation.

**Developer response:** Wrong tea, bestie 💅. Honest Tea doesn’t post about anyone, no profiles, no photos, no gossip. It’s a private AI tool that analyzes your own chats for red and green flags ☕🚩. Sounds like you’ve got us mixed up with one of those anonymous posting apps 👀.

### 5/5 — Fire app we all need it

*2025-10-03*

So good everyone who is a girl should get it

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review bestie 🙌
