Despite the free download you have to pay a monthly subscription on opening the app before you can do anything at all. To be forced, without warning, into a subscription service to use the app was low act. If there were certain features that could only be unlocked by paying for the app, that would be okay. But when you have multiple apps and you set your device to auto update all apps, you expect that the app will be the same after the update. It was installed as a free app, and one, rightly can expect it to be so. Many developers have a cut done version that is free, or it may contain advertising. To unlock features or remove advertisements you have the option to pay. Come down on your price, and be part of helping restore a beautiful, nearly lost language. ### 2/5 — No structure *2019-06-18, version 3.1* It pronounces the words which is great because spelling and sound are not obviously related, but there is no structure to the learning that I can see. It's just a bùrach (mess) of words and phrases. Also, that 90s 'marquee' effect in parts is highly distracting. Just keep the words steady on screen so I can read them! +1 for audio, but this needs to be used in conjunction with a structured lesson plan, otherwise it is a waste of money. ### 1/5 — App stolen *2019-06-07, version 3.0* I bought this app in February for a one off payment. Yesterday an update available which ‘fixes bugs’ on updating, £2.99 a week to be paid. My original purchase is no longer available. It’s been stolen. So if you purchase the app for £2.99 a week. Souseful to have a pronouncing Gaelic app with self testing. Instructions aren’t quite comprehensive enough for me. I suspect that a ‘notion’ may be a very useful concept but i don’t know in the context what it is, though can see I may learn. I started writing s negative reviews as there app didn’t seem structured enough, but i am learning that it appears to be. I don’t like the charge not being presented beforehand - that is dishonest marketing though I appreciate a number if companies do this.
