I thought that it was just Bub teaching us not to eat too many sugar. How could you teach your monster! Now Why is to read and reading for fun not free? No reason a kids app should require that. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. Just to let you know that creating an account is optional, the benefit is that your progress is saved across devices and backed up on the cloud. ### 2/5 — Has MADE a fussy eater! *2023-10-11* Simply, the monster your child is teaching to be more adventurous at trying food goes ‘eurgh!’ at the sights and smells of foods, shakes head, and doesn’t want to try or show any signs of enjoying trying a new thing. This behaviour has rubbed off on our child! Deleting, and leaving this warning for other parents. (An otherwise we’ll designed game) **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for the feedback. Sometimes some monsters (just like some children) don’t immediately like foods they try. Aligned with the academically approved Sapere method of sensory food learning, this game suggests that it’s ok if you don’t like a food, and that you could give a little try, because maybe next time you’ll like it… so have another go. It’s been proven that it can take children multiple times of trying a food before they develop a taste for it. Sometimes, just starting by looking, touching or smelling a food, can encourage a child to be a little braver, and a little less scared of fruit and veg. This is what the game shows through the characters and the voice over, and it’s been proven to encourage children to eat a wider variety of fruit and vegetables both in schools and homes across the globe. Apart from your feedback about a monster disliking foods, we’re pleased you otherwise think the game is well-designed. We really hope you do give the game another try, to see how it encourages everyone (no matter how much they may dislike foods on first impression) to give things a little try using all of their senses. She is at the older end for the target audience at 8yrs but she still really enjoys playing this game and teaching monsters about heathy foods. Even my 12 year old son sings along to the catchy songs while she’s playing. **Developer response:** The songs are so fun and catchy aren't they?! Did you know there are individual lyrics for each of the foods? We're delighted that your kids have had fun getting their monsters to try foods in the game. We've recently added Bub's garden, where you can grow your own veggies. It’s really helped my 3 year old daughter who has become a picky eater over the past year. She’s now trying new fruit and veg every day all because her monster did that in the game. She loves playing the game, sings the songs constantly and most importantly, the whole family is eating healthily again. I can’t recommend this enough! **Developer response:** This is music to our ears! Sometimes it just takes a little role-modelling from their monsters for kids to be brave enough to try a new fruit or veg. We love how the friendly monsters don't always like the foods they try - that's ok, next time they might! She always asks if she can play “Bob Loves Food”. She walks around the house singing the catchy tune and has recently started asking to go shopping for particular color food, sending us on grocery adventures. This little app has, unexpectedly, added music, adventure, and family time to our home. **Developer response:** What a wonderful thing to hear, thank you!
