Since returning last fall the app is demonstrably worse. I think the main culprit is the app seems to log off after a very short amount of time. I’ll be in the middle of grading and it’ll boot me. I use to be able to log in the morning first period and remain connected all day. Now as soon as my iPad goes dark I have to log back in. Just now in the time it took me to score a small handful of assignments the app logged off. However the screen in the grade book didn’t change and I only found out after I entered the grades and then tried to save at which point I got a failed notice. Please fix, the app on iPad use to be my main way to grade and now I hate using it. Edit. Also can’t seem to save grades from the all assignment screen like I used to. Every time I get an infinite saving notification and I just close and re log into the app. Use to be the most useful all assignments page of all the platforms one doesn’t work ### 1/5 — Need access to grade book *2021-09-13, version 6.9* As a PE teacher who is outside it would be nice to have access to the synergy grade book through the TeacherVUE mobile app. ### 1/5 — Email won’t send *2021-09-04, version 6.8* Emails have stop working. I can compose the message and save it as a draft, but it errors out if I try to send it. I can then go to my computer and send but that’s defeats using the app. (The opposite happens with ParentVue. Many times I’m on the go grading in blackboard and Teams on my iPad and trying to enter grades on my phone. As an English teacher, I need the bigger screen of the iPad to view essays and writing assessments. I was very excited to see TeacherVUE offered an app, and jumped at the chance to download. Unfortunately the only functionality it has is to take attendance. The biggest piece of the puzzle that this app is missing is the ability to enter quick grades. I continue to waste time switching between screens on the iPad while I grade in Blackboard and then enter into synergy. Honestly, synergy - think like a teacher! What would you want this app to do? I guarantee you, in the middle of a pandemic, attendance taking is NOT top of the list. ### 1/5 — unusable *2020-04-06, version 5.5* this app barely works and it’s so hard to navigate ### 1/5 — No function *2019-11-21, version 5.5* I used to love this app as it allowed me to take attendance when on the go, I can now take attendance, and it marks it as taken on the desktop- BUT TRUANCIES DISAPPEAR. The app provides inaccurate attendance and not the ability to enter grades. So I end up going to desktop Synergy on safari on my phone. I would love to take accurate attendance on the app. ### 1/5 — Extremely Limited Functions *2019-10-20, version 5.5* The app only allows you to take attendance, searching student info is buggy and interface is clunky. It would great to be able to grade on this app, but the attendance doesn’t even consistently save. There’s been several occasions where I take attendance on the app, then it shows as incomplete on the desktop. Curious about how much public funds this company is ripping off of our school district. ### 1/5 — Please Update *2019-10-11, version 5.5* If this could ever be a working app I would be so appreciative of your efforts. HOWEVER, the other day the app crashed and will no longer let me open the app itself. I have tried deleting the app itself and redownloading it and it does not work. When I use the same credentials on my laptop, no problems. But basically you can access some info on the go if that’s helpful to you… otherwise, you cannot enter grades or enter in assignments under gradebook or create rubrics for assignments…. Or create assessments. I’m sorry, but this app is basically useless and just takes up space. I wouldn’t download it. It’s honestly easier to just use a web browser. I truly hope a developer for this app will decide to make it more functional. Teachers have busy jobs. I also like that I can look up students' contact information. CON: when will you add the "classes" tab? It would be nice to be able to view a student's schedule in the app as well. Thanks for a very handy tool. ### 4/5 — Teacher *2014-09-09* For taking attendance, this app is fantastic. You can move around the class rather than be tied to your computer. What it truly needs is the green check mark list for which classes have taken attendance. It exists on the web, why not the app? The same thing applies to grades. How do we know which classes we have posted? Sure, you go in order, but what happens when one last assignment gets handed in? You end up reposting all classes. They are small features, but ones that could help! ### 4/5 — Update is more hassle. *2014-06-04* The update has it made it so every time you take roll you have to choose which view you want, seating chart or list. How about a preference so you can always take roll one way (the way it was before) or the other. Also, when looking at the class view, they have removed the # of students present.
