### 4/5 — Nostalgic

*2022-12-01*

I used to play this game all the time for school and it brings back so many memories. Thank you

### 2/5 — Not a friendly app for 1st grader

*2017-11-05, version 4.0.3*

My son is very good at maths. He counts very fast but this app requires to write the answer and letters must be in perfect shape. He is frustrated to use this app. Not a good thinking from app designers. For math answer should be selectable.

### 2/5 — Needs This

*2017-07-18, version 4.0.2*

Great but create an option to disable the transparent answer appearing. My child complains stating she didn't want to see the answer yet! Make the option to disable this and ability to set number of attempts before the answer appears.
5 stars once I see this implemented.

### 4/5 — Great app. Poor support.

*2015-11-14, version 4.0.1*

I've been trying to reset my pass code for this app for months and have gotten no response from the support team.

### 3/5 — decent app some flaws

*2015-10-22, version 4.0.1*

My 6 year old played this in school and asked me to download it at home. He enjoys the game (he even chose to play it over star wars!) but some letters are hard for the game to recognize. The M is pretty tricky.

overall I like the option to write the letters. He still writes some of backwards and this has really helped since the game does not recognize backwards letters.

### 4/5 — Great little app

*2014-06-18, version 4.0.1*

This app has lots of great stuff for your kids. Great learning across early math and English topics. One suggestion would be to optionally disable some of the audio prompts as they can get annoying and time consuming for the child. The sound you get a coin would be an example of this.

### 3/5 — Talks Too Much in School

*2014-06-02, version 4.0.1*

This app has some solid lessons, and a good incentive program that rewards kids for completing them, but the mouse-teacher character is a little, um, school-marmish. Once the kid has been told that "extra strokes" in her answer make it harder to read, the mouse needs to either to zip it, or give us a way to cut her off and continue with game play or corrections.

### 3/5 — Disappointing

*2014-03-29, version 4.0.1*

The app is pretty limited for words, and seems to repeat the same ones such as 'cat, dog, bus, ball' over and over even if they get it right. Also, the math sections moves too quickly on from problems with picture and counting help, to no pictures at all, without a middle transition, which really confused my kid. The premise is great, but there could be a few tweaks which would make this app from OK to great.

### 5/5 — Amazing learning app!

*2014-02-07, version 4.0.1*

I love this app! My 4 going on 5 year old daughter is currently using it. I have worked a lot with her on reading and sounding out words but not so much with adding, subtracting and writing. We started with teach me toddler and teach me kindergarten. She has gone through those and mastered the info and now is at the 1st grade level.

When we first started using it the writing portion was a little difficult for her but with time and practice she has gotten the hang of it and enjoys writing outside of the app with great improvement!

### 4/5 — Great educational tool!

*2014-01-12, version 4.0.1*

This is, by far, our family's favorite and longest used educational ap. The reward system is very helpful in keeping my kids interested as they learn. The settings allow you to customize learning. I would give this ap 5 stars if the keyboard was a normal QWERTY keyboard. An alphabetized keyboard may make things easier in the short run, but kids these days need to get used to QWERTY boards. I do prefer the keyboard option over the handwriting option which is difficult to use.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working

*2024-04-23*

Teach me 1st grade is not recognizing responses. Isn’t doing anything after typing in a number

### 1/5 — so bad

*2022-10-19, version 5.0.5*

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

### 1/5 — Very difficult

*2020-02-23*

No matter how you write the answers, the “teacher” tells you it’s wrong. Extremely frustrating for my 6 year old and highly disappointing since I paid for this

### 1/5 — Sucks

*2018-02-28, version 4.0.4*

It stops working the hand writing part

### 1/5 — Horrible app, not worth the money

*2017-11-15*

I want a refund. This app doesn’t give you the ability to choose a subject or a game. It’s lazy. Waste of 2$ and frustrated my 6 year old within minutes of playing. I wanted to find a game that would help him practice subtracting. This is not it

**Developer response:** You can turn off specific learning topics in settings. From the home screen tap on Settings. Then tap on a player and scroll down to TEACHME TOPICS. Use the switches to turn off the subjects you want to disable.

Email us at support@24x7digital.com for more help. Thanks.

### 1/5 — Not good for classroom

*2016-03-24, version 4.0.1*

I teach 1st grade and wanted to use the game at center time. The app does not allow you to choose a subject. Reading, math, and spelling are all combined into one lesson.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2014-12-19*

Character recognition is just awful.

### 1/5 — Terrible. Do not buy.

*2014-11-08, version 4.0.1*

Terrible. The technology doesn't work and is discouraging since it skips around and mid-reads the child's attempts. Counter-productive if you are trying to encourage learning. Deleting it now.

### 1/5 — Wish I would have read reviews before paying

*2013-12-05, version 4.0.1*

I needed a quick way to keep my child occupied, and downloaded this. The very first direction was to spell the word 'dog' using your pointer finger on the screen. She started to write 'D' and it recorded it as an 'i' she returned to trying and finally I tried it and it took a few tries before it finally accepted it as a 'D' ... Now, my child is in the first grade. I would appreciate she masters spelling before problem solving for a stupid app.

### 2/5 — Had promise

*2020-06-21*

This appWhat is promising but it just repeats the same 20 questions over and over

My little sister really loves the British Voice on the preschool one if it was possible to get that on the other ones that would just make her day great app otherwise ❤️👌🏻

### 5/5 — Waiting so long

### 5/5 — This app is great!

*2015-06-26, version 4.0.1*

This is the best educational app by far that I have found by far! We have done hooked on phonics, abc mouse and many others and this far surpasses them all! Worth every penny, very happy!

### 5/5 — best money i have spent on a kids app

### 5/5 — Great

*2015-01-07, version 4.0.1*

This is amazing for kids with autism

### 5/5 — Great Tool

*2014-06-04, version 4.0.1*

My students and my own child all benefit from this app and the other TeachMe apps. They love to earn the coins and create their own sticker collection.

### 5/5 — Excellent Learning Tool

*2014-03-07*

I love this program as a whole, personally I think the rewards could be a little cooler but when you get down to it this app is about learning not the rewards. One critique I do have is that when you have to spell a word, I think it should have underlines or something to signify how many letters are in that word (2, 3, or 4). This is especially annoying to me when a word like 'ball' comes up to spell. My daughter sounds out the word and puts b, a, and l, but she doesn't realize the word contains 2 L's and it's unfortunate to see her get an answer like that wrong when she did so well to sound out the word and get the correct letters. Other than those minor details, this is a great app. Well worth the small price, and overall excellent for learning and/or review.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2014-02-22, version 4.0.1*

We love all the Teach Me apps. My 6 year old daughter just finished Teach Me 1st Grade and it was a great way for her to review math, spelling, and sight words. We've just downloaded 2nd Grade and I'm sure my daughter is going to be so excited to use it. My 3 year old son worked through Teach Me Toddler and also loves Teach Me Kindergarten even though he can't do the sight words section on that one yet. Can't say enough good about this app.
