## What is TeamDrive 5 Enterprise?

IMPORTANT NOTE: TeamDrive 5 Enterprise is a special addition of the trusted, secure and end-to-end encrypted TeamDrive 5 app. This app is intended for Enterprise users and requires a provider code, as well as special Enterprise server technology provided by TeamDrive Systems. If you are not an Enterprise user with the necessary server infrastructure, please consider our standard “TeamDrive 5” app.

Security - No snooping and backdoors!

The security and confidentiality of your data is the highest priority for TeamDrive. Before TeamDrive transfers your data, they are encrypted on your computer (AES-256). Only you decide who has access to your data. TeamDrive has been awarded the Data Protection Seal of Privacy of the ULD. TeamDrive is using End-2-End encryption. 


Synchronization.

With TeamDrive you can keep your data synchronized between various computers and smartphones easily and automatically. It’s like child’s play to share music, images, documents or folders of any sort with friends, family or work colleagues. TeamDrive is available for all standard operating systems.

Photo upload

The TeamDrive app includes the direct upload from the Camera App into a TeamDrive Space/Folder.


Offline synchronization

Using a TeamDrive server makes it possible to synchronize data reliably even if one or more computers or smartphones are offline. As soon as the device regains internet access, the data are automatically synchronized.  You can therefore work on your documents on a plane or train, for example, without an Internet connection.
Management of access rights

There are four different levels of access that you can allocate to individual group members: 
Read-Only, Read-Only (Anonymous), Read/Write, Superuser and Administrator.

Version management

With the TeamDrive version management system (versioning), you have the option to go back to earlier versions of documents and to track all of the changes made by group members.

Comments

Every group member can add as many comments to each individual version of a file as he or she wishes. Alternatively, these comments can also be sent simply by e-mail to individual group members or to the whole group.
Conflict management
TeamDrive reliably identifies any conflicts that may arise from simultaneous editing of files by different group members and offers a simple solution for resolving those conflicts.


Free choice of server

TeamDrive offers two alternatives for synchronizing and safeguarding your data reliably: either you can use the TeamDrive Cloud Services, which means that we take care of everything, or you can use your own servers.

### 5.2.0 — 2024-08-06

The new TeamDrive release contains a large number of enhancements and improvements. In particular, the WebClient (Web App) has been greatly enhanced. It is now possible to open and edit documents there without having to download the documents beforehand and save them back to the same location. This makes working on documents in the Web APP much easier. You can find out more about these new functions in the FAQ and in our video tutorial.

New in the WebApp (Browser Client):
• Support for local editing of Office files in Office 365 has been added. (Office 365 online will follow shortly)- Added multi-selection via long click

### 5.1.1 — 2024-03-19

TeamDrive 5.1.1 is an important update for all platforms.

It fixes a number of hickups in our Performance Release. Despite heavy testing of the Performance Release some user experienced some unwanted behavior which we fixed.

- Improved download scheduling for changed files and published files
- Improved sending generated auto-trash events
- Improved log format
- Allow storing Spaces on SMB2 volumes on MacOS/Linux
- Fixed altering files that are still opened (e.g. Office Apps) on Windows
- Fixed situation where the application would not respond
- Fixed refresh on Trash screen
- Fixed missing refresh when “group recent files by Space” changed
- Fixed Inbox URLs redirecting to login
- Important hint for users of our TeamDrive Personal Server TDPS:
- Please increase the maximum connection limit in the config.file to 250 or 300
(Due to the Performance Release the TeamDrive Apps now open more connections for each Space)

### 5.1.0 — 2024-02-12

TeamDrive 5.1.0 is a major performance and security update for all platforms.

All power users, long time customers and users with many or large Spaces will benefit most from the new performance improvements.
Internally, we have optimized the threading processes, which allows for more parallel jobs.
Various code updates (CBFS/Virtual File System), security updates and a few bug fixes come along with this release. All other functions and features remain unchanged.
