The Diocese of Rochester, New York utilizes the TeamSideline scheduling and league management software tool in a multitude of ways. 

The app is a pivotal factor for why TeamSideline was chosen as the vendor for the Catholic Youth Organization’s (CYO,) operations for the Diocese of Rochester.

Having the ability to get notified of game changes, track attendance for both practices and games, and having a place specific for you and the team you are apart of to communicate are all reasons why TeamSideline has been a great business partner for the Diocese of Rochester. 

Having 14 soccer teams and then 157 basketball teams in the 2024-2025 school year, TeamSideline is a pivotal factor for the execution of all logistics to keep this program running. 

I recommend TeamSideline’s software for anyone in need of a reliable league management software.

I like the overall functionality of the app but the messaging section is a little lacking compared to other messaging apps. It would be nice to be able to send out polls to my players and parents. The help function in the app was also hard to navigate. Overall though it does seem like it will work well over the season for my team.

Additionally, as my daughter is an umpire, she can see her assignments and make changes through the app, update her availability.

We have used several different sports apps and this is by far the worst user experience. It is so clunky and takes forever to navigate around. The RSVP function is horrible. You do not have quick visibility into what you’ve RSVPed to. It takes so many clicks to get to information. And as a manager, you have no quick visibility into how many players have said yes, no, or maybe to each event in the calendar view. The visuals are oversized, making scrolling endless. There is no ability to take live stats during the game. The chat function is clunky. Can’t see any of the chats from the app on the desktop function, huge pain if you are a coach or manager. Everyone’s profile comes in with an unknown name, even though you’ve filled out all your information - does not synch.

Using TeamSidelines has been painful!
It takes 2-3 steps just to reply your attendance to an event.  

The Messaging does not function for standard messaging or email.  When working with the tech support team for over a week they come back with we can’t figure it out and tell me I need to upgrade my iOS (that is their standard answer and they support the iOS version on my phone).

I have used many similar apps over the years and this app is the only one that I would not recommend, all of the others I would tell you what I like about it with TeamSideline I have not found anything I like about it yet.

The app is great when it works but this is now the 2nd time I am getting an error message when I’m trying to log in. The password is correct as I am able to login to the website. I’ve tried changing my password, deleting the app and reinstalling it and those are not helping it to work. I’m hoping someone is able to help get this working again for me. Thank you!

Your customers will hate this app. It’s so outdated and confusing to sign for a league. They make it very difficult and add at least 6 extra step to do the most basic signup. You will have a very high cart abandonment if you use this app.

My daughter’s basketball team uses the chat feature to communicate. I get the notifications but am unable to open and see the chat. It just freezes. I have logged out and logged back in. I have removed the app and downloaded it again - no help. Works fine for my husband.

It makes it so easy to track everything from my phone from the app and sync their calendars directly to my phone. When things change at the last minute I love the notifications that come via text and in the app.
