### 5/5 — Great app, would welcome improvements

*2026-05-26, version 5.16.0*

It's a great IM for secure use. They have introduced new features like emoji reactions on iOS, but they're still not available on Android and Windows clients. Since I also use these, I would welcome these features as well. A very welcome addition would be the swipe-to-reply feature.

Insgesamt gute App. Ein Bug fällt mir aber immer wieder auf: Textnachrichten werden offenbar zunächst unvollständig heruntergeladen und nur in der Vorschau am Handy angezeigt. Klickt man darauf, dann öffnet sich die App, aber ebendiese Nachricht ist nicht da. Erst bei (1) gutem Netz und (2) Neustart der App taucht sie dann auf. Eine wesentlich bessere Lösung wäre, wenn die Nachricht gleich ganz heruntergeladen würde, und dann auch bei schlechtem Netz zur Verfügung steht, wenn man sie lesen will.

Auf dem iPhone 12 läuft das Programm nur sehr langsam. Wenn es aktualisiert, friert es mehrfach ein. Mittlerweile seit 3 Tagen keine Aktualisierung möglich. 
Ich bin nicht der einzige iPhone Nutzer mit diesem Problem. Auch Personen mit neueren Modellen, haben Probleme mit Abstürzen und endlosen Ladezeiten.

### 3/5 — Generell gut, aber in letzter Zeit Bugs

Wir müssen diese App dienstlich für die Freiwillige Feuerwehr benutzen. 
Generell finde ich die App gelungen. 
Dass man Notizen, Ankündigungen und Umfragen machen kann, die extra hervorgehoben werden und diese dann im Verlauf einfach wiederfindet ist super. 

Die Umfragen sind leider anonym und nicht in absoluten Zahlen. So können wir zum Beispiel nicht sehen, ob an einem Termin ausreichend Fahrer verfügbar wären. 
Eine Einstellung, ob die Umfrage anonym sein soll und dazu noch absolute Zahlen, statt nur % wäre super. 

Größtes Problem stellen derzeit aber die Push Nachrichten dar. 
Das Handy vibriert, die Nachricht erscheint kurz im Sperrbildschirm und verschwindet dann. Im Home Bildschirm erscheint kein Symbol, dass man in der App eine ungelesene Nachricht hat. 
Diese Beobachtung machen viele bei uns. Unabhängig Betriebssystem und Handymarke.

An sich ein gutes Tool, aber ich muss die App einmal pro Woche löschen und wieder neu herunterladen, sonst aktualisieren sich die Chats nicht mehr. Schade!

...leider auch keine Hilfe vom Support!!! Chat-Funktion auch schweigen. Schade gerade im B2B Bereich braucht man schnelle Hilfe. Also Daumen runter!

More reliable Initial Sync
After updating, the app performs an Initial Sync the first time it's opened, making sure everything is fully up to date after the upgrade. In rare cases, for example, a temporary network hiccup, this sync could previously fail to complete, which might cause some users to appear as deleted. The Initial Sync can no longer be skipped, and the app will now automatically keep retrying it until it completes successfully, so your workspace stays fully in sync.

Fixed a crash that could occur when opening a chat containing a system message from a deleted user.

• Roles
Introducing Roles, a new way to keep communication aligned with responsibilities.
Take on a Role such as Shift Leader, Dispatcher, or Operations Lead, and your current Role will be visible in all your chat messages. Teamwire automatically keeps your inbox up to date by adding you to conversations linked to your active Roles and removing you when those Roles change.
Whether you're working shifts, rotating responsibilities, or joining temporary teams, Roles ensure you're always in the right conversations at the right time.
Note: Roles are available only if enabled by your organization's administrator.

• Enhanced audio message experience
We've completely refreshed the audio message experience to make it more intuitive, informative, and visually appealing.
Audio messages now use Teamwire's new branding colors and feature a modern waveform visualization, replacing the previous progress line. During playback, you can also see both the current playback position and the total duration of the recording at a glance.
In addition, audio messages now support adjustable playback speeds. Tap the Speed button to switch between 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, and 2x playback. While faster speeds help you save time, the new 0.5x option makes it easier to carefully review important or critical information when every detail matters.

• Show or hide your password
Logging in is now easier and more convenient.
A new Show Password button has been added to the login and registration screens, allowing you to toggle the visibility of your password while typing. This helps reduce typing errors and makes it easier to verify your credentials before signing in.

• More accurate search results
We've improved the search behavior across all screens that use tabs, including the Directory, Chat Members, Forward Message, and Add Members screens.
Search results are now filtered according to the selected tab. For example, when searching within the Roles tab, only Roles will be displayed. Likewise, when adding members to a chat and searching within the Bots tab, only Bots will appear in the results.
This makes searches more predictable, reduces clutter, and helps you find the right people, circles, roles, or bots more quickly.

• Redesigned link previews
We've refreshed the appearance of link previews to better match Teamwire's new visual identity.
Link previews are now fully integrated into the message bubble, creating a cleaner and more cohesive conversation experience. The updated design uses our latest branding colors and styling, making shared links easier to read while feeling like a natural part of the conversation.

• Refreshed attachment design
We've updated the appearance of attachment messages to create a more consistent and modern chat experience.
Attachment bubbles now follow Teamwire's latest branding and color palette, aligning them visually with regular message bubbles. We've also redesigned the file type placeholders, making attachments easier to recognize at a glance.

• Improved chat filters in the Inbox
The Inbox now comes with a refreshed design for chat filters.
In addition, Favourites, Unread, and Archived tabs now display a counter showing how many unread chats are inside each section. 
The result is a clearer, more informative Inbox that helps you stay on top of your conversations at a glance.

• Alerts are now harder to miss
We’ve extended the duration of Alert notifications' sound so that critical messages get the attention they deserve.
From now on, Alert notifications will play for up to 30 seconds (or until you open the app). This change makes them even more noticeable when it really matters.

• Circles can now be added to your Lists
From now on, you can add entire Circles to your personal Lists, not just individual members.
This makes it much easier to prepare for group conversations when you regularly work with the same teams or departments.

• Clearer visibility of Lists and Circles
The Directory now shows the number of members in each List and Circle directly in the overview, making it easier to understand group size at a glance, without opening each one individually.
This improvement also applies when adding members to a group chat.

• Improved member management in group chats
The Members section in group chat settings has been enhanced to make managing large chats easier and more efficient.
You’ll now find a search bar, allowing you to quickly search for specific users or Circles within the chat, especially useful when you need to confirm whether someone is already part of a large group.
In addition, new member filters make it easier to navigate between All, Admins, Circles, and Bots, providing a clearer and more pleasant browsing experience.
Finally, the Members section now shows the total number of members in the chat. If a user is added both individually and through a Circle, they are counted only once, giving you a more accurate overview of the actual number of participants.

• “Role” has been renamed to “Job title”
As part of a refreshed design of the user profile section, the field previously called “Role” has been renamed to “Job title”.

• More media sharing enhancements
When editing a photo, you can now add multiple text layers.
In addition, when using the camera, you can now take photos using the new camera control button available on iPhone 16 and newer devices.
These enhancements make creating, editing, and sharing visual content quicker and more expressive, right when collaboration matters.

React to a message by simply double-tapping or long-pressing it and then selecting the perfect emoji.
Alongside emojis, you can now access the new detailed reactions report to see engagement per message. Want to thank everyone who reacts to a message? It’s simple and fast: You can instantly create a group chat with everyone who used a specific reaction, or even with those who haven’t reacted yet.
These improvements make team communication more dynamic, help you identify engagement at a glance, and follow up effortlessly when action is needed.

• Detect and interact with phone numbers
When a phone number is shared in a chat, Teamwire now automatically detects it and displays it as an interactive link. Tapping on the number opens a dialog with quick actions, such as calling, adding to contacts, or copying it.

You can now minimize active video calls and continue using Teamwire without interruption. Keep talking while you check other chats, send messages, or browse your conversations.
