## What is Teary Hoof?

Teary Hoof is a narrative-driven roguelite adventure game created purely for entertainment.

You play as a lone pony traveling across a fractured continent shaped by mysterious storms. Each play session begins with a short story moment before leading into handcrafted environments filled with dynamic weather, responsive music, and expressive visual effects. The experience focuses on atmosphere, movement, and emotional storytelling rather than competition or progression pressure.

Gameplay emphasizes fluid movement, light combat, and exploration. Players dodge hazards, interact with characters, and experiment with abilities in short, replayable runs. Controls are designed for quick gestures and smooth pacing, allowing players to stay focused on motion and timing.

Between runs, players return to a central town where new areas, characters, and story scenes become available. Progression is entirely virtual and exists only to unlock gameplay features, visual customization, and narrative content. All upgrades and abilities are confined to the game world and function as part of normal gameplay.
