## What is Teca?

Every record you own, in your pocket.

In the shop, snap a sleeve and Teca tells you if you already own it, if you own a different pressing, and which crate yours is in.

SCAN IT, BARCODE OR NOT
Show Todd, Teca's record-finding cat, a photo of the sleeve, even an old one with no barcode, and he finds the record. Cataloguing a stack? Scan the barcodes one after another. Or search by artist or title.

SORTED LIKE YOUR SHELVES
Keep your records in crates. Sort any crate by artist, album or date added. The Beatles go under B, and each crate remembers how you sorted it.

NO SIGNAL? STILL YOURS
Your collection opens without a signal. In a basement shop, snap the sleeve anyway: the photo waits on your phone, and it goes through when you're back online with Teca open.

THE RIGHT PRESSING
The same album can come in dozens of pressings, from different years, labels and countries. Pick the year on your sleeve, then your pressing. When two look alike, Teca can read the runout with your camera: the code etched in the vinyl near the label.

HEAR IT FIRST
Play previews right from the album page. Connect Apple Music to hear full songs (subscription needed), or open the album in Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL or YouTube Music.

YOUR WANTLIST, AT THE COUNTER
Keep a wantlist of the records you're after. To open it fast, press and hold the Teca icon and tap View wantlist. The album page also shows how many copies are for sale on Discogs and the lowest asking price.

BRING YOUR RECORDS ALONG
Starting from scratch? Add records as you go. Already on Discogs? Import your collection and wantlist, and your folders become crates.

With an Apple Music subscription, connect your account: Teca suggests records from what you play most, and you can add up to 50 albums at a time from your library to your wantlist.

YOUR CRATES IN 3D (EARLY ACCESS)
Slide across the spines and press a sleeve to lift it out. Or set your crates on the floor of your room in AR, on supported iPhones.

Sign in with Apple, and delete your account any time from inside the app. Sleeve photos are used only to identify the record. Teca keeps no copy online; your phone keeps the last five for a day.

For the ones who still flip sleeves.

### 5/5 — Built for the music lovers

*2026-10-29*

You can feel the care and passion for music behind Teca. It's easy to use, the interface is intuitive, and the visual overlays are some of the best I've seen. What I love most is that it feels purpose-built for people who genuinely love music. This passion comes through in the little design details, making it fun to explore and organize vinyl collections in-app. Really thoughtful work 🫶.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-28

• Your scan waits for you: leave Scan and come back, and your sleeve photo is still there. No signal? It waits on your phone and goes through when you're back online with Teca open.
• See where a record went: after you add one to a crate, tap View in the note at the top.
• Your wantlist shortcut now skips records you own: press and hold the Teca icon and tap View wantlist.
• Open albums in your music app: from an album's page, Play on opens it in Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL or YouTube Music.
• Simpler pressing picks: choose the year on your sleeve, then the pressing. The runout reader appears only when two pressings look alike or you're not sure.
• Every album accounted for: when you add albums from Apple Music to your wantlist, each one shows what happened, and the add keeps going if you leave the screen.
• Smoother Apple Music playback when you skip songs, and a clear note when a song only has a preview.
• VoiceOver and Larger Text fixes.
