Good magazine but the app does not deliver. Slow to download and when it says it has completed the download there are still a significant number of pages that will not open no matter how long you leave them. Will stick with the paper version.......! ### 4/5 — Modern convenience *2013-02-17, version 4.9.9* I have purchased PC Advisor since it first came out. This is now so much more efficient, no big piles of magazines, I very rarely bothered with the cover cd's. only giving it four because I wish they could make it truly interactive and make the links work. ### 1/5 — Appalling app *2012-12-05, version 4.2.6* This app is consistently extremely slow at downloading issues -10-20 mins to complete even with a very fast (30 mBs) wifi connection is typical. But far worse though is that it will not download in the background - the moment you minimise the app it stops downloading. It also forces you to login to your Apple account each time you restart the download and also obliges you to wait until 100% of the mag has downloaded before allowing you access - unlike other mag apps that allow you access shortly after the download starts. Great app *2012-09-20, version 4.2.6* This mag works great on the iPad.. each issue delivered on time, every time with excellent content; especially the video reviews. Just downloaded the iPhone5 Advisor which is a fantastic read.. very informative.. interesting videos and all for only £0.69p.. This is one of the best general tech magazines around. Loads of info on all the latest gadgets and some really good lab tests. I already like the mag, so being able to read it on iPhone and iPad is great. I used to find the app buggy, but since the recent update it's been much, much better. ANd each issue improves - now there are video reviews, which really help you to see the hardware. I followed the instructions and that worked. I paid for and downloaded one edition, Feb 2013, which it successfully downloaded. I came to open the app tonight to read my mag only for the app to constantly crash at the loading screen again! So now I can't even read the mag I paid for! Crap. Allows me to feed my favourite computer magazine. Had a problem with the app when IOS9 was released.
