Das Pairing mit der Weste funktioniert nicht. Der ganze Pairingvorgang zeugt schon davon, dass hie nicht nachgedacht wurde. Es soll die Weste zum Pairing eingeschaltet werden. Dazu muss sie aber angezogen werden. Anschließend soll ein QR-Code gescannt werden - nur, der ist leider innen im Rückenbereich aufgenäht. Wie, bitte schön, soll man den Code scannen, wenn man die Weste trägt? Hat die Prozedur überhaupt schon mal jemand ausprobiert? Vermutlich nicht! Man kann den Code aber auch manuell eingeben. Leider funktioniert auch dann das Pairing nicht. Ich bin jetzt beim fünften Versuch, es kommt keine Verbindung zustande. Nächster Schwachsinn: Damit man die App überhaupt starten kann, benötigt man eine Internetverbindung - die in meiner Tiefgarage leider nicht gegeben ist. Wenn ich nur die Weste über Bluetooth mit der App verbinden will, wozu ist eine Internetverbindung erforderlich. Glücklicherweise ist die App zum Betrieb der Weste nicht erforderlich - außer für Updates. Probabilmente, se avessi visto l’app prima dell’acquisto dell’airbag, la mia scelta sarebbe stata molto diversa. He doesn’t have a smartphone so I paired both mine and his to my app on my phone. However, the app only lets me connect one system; when I try to connect the second system, the app gets hung and doesn’t move past the “connecting” screen, regardless of how long I give it. I have to force close the app and restart it, only for the issue to recur. It doesn’t matter which one I pair first, the second one is out of luck. How has this not been addressed? You cannot turn off on the vest. You cannot change the mode. It does not show amy nice data lile a lean angle. It only shows system connested or disconnected. Basically total S… App. It is not even clear if the vest is armed or not. Confusing. It does not record the rides automatically nor does not offer to enable sich feature. The only way to arm the vest is this stupid zipper switch that enoys me when dressing up. And when heaving a break the west goes all the time unwanted on. I am so annoyed by the product. Lost control on bike and had slide on four lines motorway. Airbag activated on time and protected my spine and neck! Bike was write off and I walked unharmed! Die Weste selber ist kinderleicht zu bedienen. ### 5/5 — Great safety device *2025-06-11, version 2.3.2* Everything is great, the only minor gripe is the tracking side of the app is just average at best. ### 5/5 — Funktioniert hervorragend *2025-04-29, version 2.3.1* Angesichts der vielen negativen Bewertungen frage ich mich, ob manche Motorrad Fahrer ein eingeschränktes Verständnis im Umgang mit elektronischen System haben. Mit meiner Tech Air 5 Weste und dem iPhone 15 Pro hat alles problemlos funktioniert. Beim Scannen des Barcodes muss man natürlich die Kamera ein kleines Stück weit entfernt vom Code halten, damit die iPhone Kamera ein scharfes Bild fokussieren kann. Die Weste ist außerdem mit Bluetooth LE (LE = Low Energy, dient der Stromersparnis) ausgestattet, man muss das iPhone beim Software Update der Weste daher logischerweise sehr nah an die Weste halten (am besten auf den Rückenprotektor legen), damit die Verbindung stabil bleibt. Nach dem abgeschlossenen Update die Weste und App neu starten, damit die neue Software Version in der App registriert wird. Alles normale Prozedur bei Bluetooth LE. Wenn man ein kleines Manko kritisieren möchte, dann wäre es, dass die App vielleicht grafisch nicht mehr auf dem aller neuesten Stand der Technik ist. Stört aber die Funktionalität überhaupt nicht. I created an account, connected to phone + email, verified acc. Then scanned QR on the vest and firmware updated automatically. The update took about 5-10 minutes. The app so far has installed without a hitch and it is quick to show when the vest is connected and disconnected. I haven’t taken it riding yet but I like that it seems to come with a ride tracking feature. Don’t love that you need app to “always” track location.
