### 4/5 — Techscout Touch

*2011-03-16, version 1.0*

Hey guys,

You are so close with this app. It's really helpful for creating gear lists for film/tv production. 3 improvements are needed. 1st, the ability to re-order the gear lists so when you add equipment it isn't sorted randomly. 2nd, the ability to enter a number value to an equipment item as well as touch the "+" symbol so you don't have to hit "+" 225 times to order 225 pieces of cable. Yikes!! 3rd, please add the cable and distro from Canada to your list.

I love the rest of the app. Great job.

### 5/5 — This is a great app

*2010-10-20, version 0*

What would be really great is a section for invoices and expendables. I read the other reviews and other suggestions are helpful as well.

### 4/5 — Flicker Free vs Magnetic

*2010-07-18, version 0*

Great app. Would be great to add a ballast selector for each HMI, much like selecting your kino tubes.

### 4/5 — Theater? Not so much.

*2010-06-23, version 0*

This app is definitely geared towards film and TV. There is some gear that is "standard" for the theater, but it is nowhere close to being complete. At least you can add gear that is missing. A Search function would be great, sometimes you have to scroll through a mighty long list of gear to find what you want. And could there please be a numeric input for how many of an item I need so I don't have to hit the + button 50 times to add 50 Source-4 36 degree units to the shop order.

### 4/5 — It's about time!

*2010-06-15, version 0*

Pretty amazing for a 1.0 app.
Bravo!

### 5/5 — Easy

*2010-06-15, version 0*

An app that makes it easier for everyone involved in the lighting process to have ready access to orders: the set lighting department, the rental house, and production. The end result being you get a lot fewer silly phone call. Nice work LITEGEAR!

### 5/5 — LAGaffer

*2010-06-08, version 0*

It was inevitable that Al and his crack team of gizmo wizards would come up with this fantastic App. If this doesn't make me fatter and lazier, then nothing will.
This App is easy, intuitive, and very helpful to every Gaffer and Best Boy in the Business. No longer will I be doing Equip lists for Production on my time. Now I can do it while on the Location Scout and be done before we get back to the Office!
Even more amazing is the price.....It's Free! I for one don't think this great deal can last forever. This App is to good and well worth some pennies, pesos or rubles.
You've gone above and beyond the call of duty guys...... Thanks!

### 5/5 — GREAT

*2010-06-06, version 0*

Great App! Just what we've been missing.

2 suggestions-

Add a quick search function to narrow the lists down, so if I'm in the hmi section and type "k5600" or "1200", only items containing that appear.

Add grip equipment and grip sections (or a separate app) - sometimes we have to generate combo lists!

### 5/5 — IA-728

*2010-06-06, version 0*

A great app for creating lighting orders. I like the ability to review and then share with colleagues via email.

### 5/5 — Very cool

*2010-06-03, version 0*

A free and extremely useful app for the industry - you can't go wrong!

### 1/5 — Not liking the new version.

*2012-06-08, version 2.0*

New version is difficult to navigate. Can't jump back to the main equipment menu. It kept crashing on me... Previous version is way more user friendly. I have been using tech scout since it was originally released. Do NOT like this version!

### 1/5 — Doesn't Open

*2011-06-03, version 1.0*

I can tell this app is great! Awesome idea, and very useful. However, when I open it, it only shows the title screen, and then closes. An update would be much appreciated, and then I will give it 5 stars!

### 2/5 — NEEDS UPDATE!!!

*2017-06-01, version 2.1.1*

Hey guys at litegear, this app needs a refresh!! It's 2017!!!

### 3/5 — Crashes from my iPad

*2012-07-24, version 2.0*

This is awesome! Perfect for indie shoots as it lists so many lighting options. My only complaint is that is crashes from my iPad and my 3G iPhone when I try to send the job order. Works great from a 3GS iPhone.

### 3/5 — Great for electrics

*2012-05-26, version 2.0*

Not terribly grip friendly. You can't add your own categories, but you can add gear under pre made categories. You have to manually punch in stuff like overhead frames and rags.

### 3/5 — Beautiful concept, but crashes

*2012-04-27, version 1.0*

Love the app and would like to use it all the time. But it crashes a lot on my 4S. Also, wish they included a full compliment of grip gear.

### 3/5 — Gaffer

*2010-06-03, version 0*

It's nice to see an app for lighting!! So far I have found it to be up to date on the latest equipment !!

### 4/5 — Great App but where”s the updates??

*2018-01-24, version 2.1.1*

Please update!!

### 4/5 — Great time saver but with limitations

*2012-06-24, version 2.0*

I am currently using the app for a fairly big lighting order for a t.v. show. It's excellent for someone like me who hates to do paperwork and it is really comprehensive barring a few newer and specialty products. However, there is no way ( that I know of) to transfer lists (jobs) between IOS devices. If I make my list on my iPad, for instance, it will not show up on my iPhone ( which could come in really handy) or vise versa ( phone to tablet). Is there something I'm missing or is this the case? Also ( and this IS PROBABLY is my oversight, but...) I can't seem to figure out how to add custom equipment. Otherwise, thanks for making such a useful and helpful app for us technicians.

P.S. it's good to know that DecaPods are still available

### 4/5 — Good app but could be great with tweaks

*2011-03-18, version 1.0*

I second simons requests. The ability to reorder is very important, as is not having to wear your finger out by tapping 100's of times :)

I'm also experiencing some crashes on my 3GS I've not lost any work but it is a pain.

All in all though it's a very good app.

### 5/5 — Helped the VFX Department Enormously!!!

*2021-12-17, version 3.0.6*

This app is really great! The VFX department was sharing a note on our phones until the key grip showed us this app. So nice to be able to see what equipment is going to be used! It really helped our VFX planning while working at the AR Wall during filming for Avengers Endgame (Disney/Marvel).

Bonus - Glad you added the crew visible on the iPhone App! Very Helpful! 👍

### 5/5 — Update

*2021-03-09, version 3.0.6*

So glad this app is back. Indispensable tool if you work in the lighting department.

### 5/5 — Nice to have you back!!

*2019-06-02, version 3.0*

Great work Guys, a major improvement on work Flo for the Electric Dept!! Having the Cloud is fantastic. Now get to work on the desktop ver!!!

### 5/5 — Love this app, so please update

*2019-02-12, version 2.1.1*

Great tool to quickly and comprehensively build a cable and lighting package.

### 5/5 — Help

*2018-07-22, version 2.1.1*

Al, Mike, etc., please let us pay for your app! We know you guys are super busy but this well thought out platform has spoiled all gaffers. Plus, we need updates for lite gear rentals. Begging you! Best,
Paul Hauser✌️

### 5/5 — Essential

*2014-08-20, version 2.1.1*

An essential tool, when it gets busy.

### 5/5 — well thought out, useful app

*2013-06-25, version 2.1*

a terrific tool for all of us to save time and keep organized
a great evolution of on set office

### 5/5 — Great

*2012-06-14, version 2.0*

Super easy to use. Even for an old guy like me. I like the email feature, so everybody is on the same page. Well done. 5 stars from me

### 5/5 — Great!

*2012-05-29, version 2.0*

I love this APP - I use it on director scouts to help give the production company ( and my gaffer) a rough idea of the lighting before the tech scout. Thanks Adam Santelli
Ps - please make a grip, crane, dolly app :)

### 5/5 — Professional Opinion

*2011-03-17, version 1.0*

If you prefer to spend hours after your tech scout slogging away at writing your lighting order on Word or Excel, do not get this app-it saves you WAY too much time.
