### 2/5 — Error and Crashes Frequently

*2025-05-10, version 2.2*

When you’re uploading videos from the app to Camtasia, it frequently crashes and continues to give you an error message “unable to connect” etc… I’ve opened several tickets with them but the best they could offer was to “restart”, “delete the app”, and “reinstall” etc. This happens every 2 weeks and so intermittent

### 4/5 — one thing

*2024-10-07, version 2.2*

so yea its a really good app but i cant upload it without having to save to files

### 2/5 — Verbindungsfehler

*2024-01-09, version 2.2*

Leider ist eine Verknüpfung mit Snagit und somit die Foto/Videoübertragung nicht möglich. Es erscheint die Meldung „Eine Verbindung mit dem Server ist nicht möglich“
Mit Camptasia hat es funktioniert…

### 2/5 — So Much Harder than Emailing to myself

*2023-02-17, version 2.2*

The app would be useful, except that every time I use it, it requires me to scan a QR code to connect my device to the mac. When using this app, I’m never in the same room as the mac, so using the app is problematic, at best.

### 2/5 — needs work, from a great company though

*2022-11-23, version 2.2*

nov 24 2022- I use snagit on windows, which is the companion program to this app, snagit is absolutely incredible, constantly updated, and very well designed and powerful.

Thus I was really surprised to see this iOS app from the same company seems to be so neglected and basic.

I only use this app (fuse) for one function, and that is to quickly get photos from my iPhone into snagit program on my PC.   in that regard, it's poorly implemented. For example, to get a photo from my phone into snagit on my PC, there's only one path;
I have to open Fuse, import the photo from my iOS photo library, ONE AT A TIME, , and then send it to snagit - in all, it's about 7x taps/actions to send a photo. (ie about 5x too many)

This could be streamlined and easy- fuse should use the native send/share functionality built into iOS, just like so many other apps; so that I can just send directly to Fuse app.
OR ,
you should be able to see all of your ios photo library in the Fuse app and then be able to select multiple photos to directly send at once.

with just a little more work on this app, it could be five star and excellent just like techsmiths other non-iOS apps.

will update this this improves.

### 2/5 — Awkward & Confusing

*2022-09-06, version 2.2*

Awkward and confusing to use, and every time you want to use it, you have to reconnect it to your computer — meaning you have to be in the same room and scan a barcode on the computer screen.

### 4/5 — So much easier than emailing photos to myself

*2022-06-29, version 2.2*

I was so glad to find this app. I take a lot of screenshots to create educational materials and previously I’d need to send the photos to myself or connect my phone to my PC to download them, and then add them to SnagIt for editing. Just too many steps.

There is just one thing keeping it from being 5 stars for me — when I want to add photos to the Library from my phone’s camera roll, it will only allow me to add one at a time (and then I have to scroll through then again to find the next one). Previous versions of the app would allow multiple items to be selected and added to the Library. This slows me down quite a bit and doesn’t make the app a slick as it once was. If fixed, it would be 5 stars from me!

### 3/5 — Feature request

*2022-05-30, version 2.2*

I appreciate the app and it’s functionality, but have 2 requests which would improve the experience…. 1. Make it possible to upload videos from your phone all at the same time, instead of having to upload one by one. 2. Have the videos upload into Camtasia in order. When uploading the videos they upload out of order so you have to go through and verify each one before moving to the editing area on the Timeline

### 3/5 — Ability to import multiple files?

*2022-01-14, version 2.2*

I’ve been using Camtasia for years, and the integration with Fuse, except one thing. I can’t seem to find the option to select multiple items to import into the Fuse Library, to then export to Camtasia, or Snagit. I have checked multiple settings within Fuse, but could find nothing. It’s a feature that I KNOW I’m missing! :)

### 4/5 — Good — except for one thing

*2021-07-22, version 2.1.1*

I have an apple phone, and trying to transfer my media from my phone to my windows computer was always a huge pain, especially at school — I would waste multiple days trying to transfer the data from my phone to the computer, and I usually just emailed them, which lowered the quality of the videos.

With fuze I can just scan the code and they transfer to my computer.

One thing that really annoys me: to import content to the app, you can only select 1 thing at a time which is very annoying.

### 3/5 — Partage de fichiers

*2020-10-23, version 1.9.3*

Impossible se connecter au serveur pour pouvoir partager les fichiers ....

### 2/5 — Delete pics limitation

*2020-10-11, version 1.9.3*

Can only delete pics via Library > Select ; but trash can is greyed out when viewing each pic...??

### 4/5 — Works Well

*2020-05-30, version 1.9.2*

Works great. My only complaint is that imported video seems to get reduced to a lower resolution. Videos captured in the app can be recorded at 1080p.

### 4/5 — Multiple item import

*2019-06-05, version 1.9.1*

Please, for the love of all that is good in the world, give us the ability to import multiple photos at once.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Will not work with 2024 version of snagit.

*2024-03-22, version 2.2*

Simply will not recognize QR CODE TO SEND PHOTOS ON MY PHONE TO VERSION 2024.1.1 released 3/11/24. Please respond.

### 1/5 — ugh!!!!

*2024-02-18, version 2.2*

This app does not work. It has such great potential, but it is completely not working for the past almost decade now.

I give my money to Tech Smith almost every year for something or other and I really wish they would fix this

### 1/5 — QR code pairing doesn’t work

*2022-02-09, version 2.2*

What a shame that the QR code paring doesn’t work. A higher disruption to work flow.

### 1/5 — It just flat doesn’t work

*2021-10-10, version 2.1.1*

Won’t connect. Completely useless.

### 1/5 — Antiquated garbage

*2021-06-14, version 2.1*

If for some reason you are forced to use this app in 2021 for school or work I feel bad for you. This feels like an app that would have been on the original iPhone. Glitchy and not user friendly. Avoid if possible.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-08-18, version 1.9.3*

I need this for my school and the app just keeps crashing on me?

### 1/5 — IPad Pro, Landscape, Attached Logi Slim Pro

*2020-05-04, version 1.9.2*

Dear Software Developer,

1. Purchase iPad Pro 12.9” Pro (or 11”)

2. Purchase Logi Slim Folio Pro (or perhaps a Brydge Keyboard)

3. Attach iPad to keyboard

4. Go to App Store, Install your App

5. Launch Your App

6. Take note that Your App doesn’t work so well in Landscape Mode

7. Modify your app to work in Landscape only Mode

8. Watch user change your rating from one stars to more than one stars

Regards,
ANNOYED iPad Pro 12.9” user with an attached keyboard

### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect or work

*2019-06-14, version 1.9.1*

Snag it editor faults to create a QR code to connect. So this app is worthless

### 1/5 — No longer supported

*2018-02-22, version 1.7.4*

After many calls to support, all I get is that the app doesn’t connect to Snagit anymore, and they have no idea why, and no solution “sorry, Fuse is a weird program with issues that we can’t diagnose or fix”. Gee, thanks.

### 1/5 — Great idea but flawed

*2017-05-18, version 1.7.2*

Why do I need to be on the same network?!?

Unfortunately I can't use it with this setup.
Having it via a cloud based option would make this an amazing feature

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works Great!

*2021-10-18, version 2.1.1*

Not sure about some of these low reviews, I use this with snagit and works exactly as advertised. Love it!

### 5/5 — Perfect to integrate with Snagit on your PC.

*2021-06-19, version 2.1*

I love it. It’s a handy aid to communication at work.
Just take a picture and instantly share with Snagit on your PC, then edit, mark up or annotate before sending.
It is great to be understood the first time.
Saves all that tedious back and forth with endless emails.

### 5/5 — Essential Camtasia App

*2018-08-01, version 1.7.5*

Today, I thought my task was simple: Record a short video on my iPhone, upload it to Dropbox and email the link. The upload didn’t work. Neither did the upload to Evernote.

Next best... Import into iPhoto. MOV file not recognized. What?

I opened Camtasia.... Of course I couldn’t see my iPhone when I clicked on “Import.”

But then... like magic... a note on the screen telling me to download “Fuse” from the App Store if I wanted to import video from my phone to Camtasia. There was also a giant QR Code.

I am VERY skeptical. I don’t like to be told to download Apps. I was more suspicious when I saw the App was only rated 3.1.

But I read the reviews. The bad reviews were irrelevant and the good reviews seemed genuine, describing the App exactly as I needed it to work.

So I did it. I downloaded Fuse.
When I opened it, I was asked to allow all sorts of permissions. They all made sense given I was sharing data between my phone and my computer. I only said “No” to “Notifications”... That did not prevent the App from working.

Next... That giant QR Code? The App prompted me to hold my phone screen up to the QR Code on my computer. In an instant, the two devices were connected for Camtasia. The best method I have ever seen.

From there I simply selected the video clip I wanted to “Share” with Camtasia and, in less than a minute, there it was... on my laptop.

I could just save it as an mp4 and upload it to Dropbox or, since I’m in Camtasia anyway... I can maybe make a few adjustments...

Some background: For years Camtasia for Mac has been my “go to” program every time I need video. A one-second clip for Twitter... or a 20-minute interactive lesson with multiple cuts, system sound, added music, voiceover and annotations... Camtasia is easy, yet, it has enough complexity to challenge users to continually push their creativity.

I highly recommend it.

### 5/5 — Good job teksmith
