## What is TeCluster for Tesla?

Turn your iPhone into an instrument cluster for your Tesla vehicle.

TeCluster turns a mounted iPhone into a real-car-style cluster. See speed and drive power at a glance, and when you set a destination on the car's screen, the app picks it up and starts guidance automatically.

Cluster and map on one screen
- The map sits right next to the speedometer. Speed, regen and battery stay visible during guidance.
- Real cluster layout: regenerative braking on the left, speed in the center, battery (0·80·100 scale) and range on the right.
- A gauge that fills with color as you accelerate, plus gear (PRND) display.

Destinations carry over from the car
- Start guidance on the car's screen and the app notices within seconds, guiding to the same destination.
- End guidance in the car and the app closes it too. No retyping destinations on your phone.

Apple Maps built in
- Turn-by-turn guidance with ETA, speed limits and next-turn preview — all inside the cluster view.

Night mode, automatically
- The screen darkens after sunset — and even in tunnels during the day.

7-day free trial
- Try everything free for 7 days, then a monthly or yearly subscription (price shown in the app). Cancel anytime during the trial and pay nothing.
- Bluetooth link: with the phone in the car, battery, temperature, odometer, gear and the car's destination come straight from the vehicle — no server in between.
- Vehicle telemetry adds destinations sent from the app to the car (tap Start on the car's screen), after-blow after parking, battery and sleep state away from the car, turn signals and alerts.

Getting started (3 minutes)
1. Enter your 17-character VIN — shown under Controls → Software on the car's screen, or in the Tesla app.
2. (Connected) Sign in with Tesla, then in the car open Settings → Tesla → Vehicle key, tap Register in the Tesla app and approve on the car's screen.
3. (Bluetooth) In the car open Settings → Tesla → Direct Bluetooth → Register this phone as a key, then hold your card key on the console when the car asks. Requires car software 2024.38 or later.

What you need
- iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
- Tesla account sign-in — required. After signing in you pick your car from the account's vehicle list; no VIN typing.
- Vehicle key pairing — once, inside the car, approved in the Tesla app. Guidance hand-off, sending destinations to the car and after-blow run on this key.
- Bluetooth key pairing — once, inside the car, with the key card. Car software 2024.38 or later (all Model 3/Y; Model S/X from model year 2021). Older cars are not supported.
- Location permission “Allow While Using App” with Precise Location — speed comes from GPS and guidance is based on your location. Location is processed on the device.
- Subscription — the 7-day free trial starts after everything above is connected, then US$1.99/month or US$19.99/year. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
- To look first without a car, tap “Look around without a car” on the first screen.
- Per Tesla policy, the car's navigation must be started and ended on the car's screen. The app cannot start or end it for you.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.13 — 2026-09-19

• While the Apple Maps app is guiding you, TeCluster keeps watching the car in the background and sends a notification to come back when the car's navigation ends or you arrive.
• Introductory prices, where offered, now show on the subscription screen.

### 1.0.12 — 2026-09-19

• A smoother speedometer. Gaps between the car's speed readings are filled by the phone's motion sensors, removing the lag (it switches on after a few accelerations once the phone is mounted).
• The speed-camera warning band appears earlier, and the guidance card no longer jumps when a camera comes up.
• The speed limit of the road you are on is shown on the map where data is available, turning red when you exceed it.
• Switches to a faster route when traffic opens one up while you drive. When off route, a U-turn is accepted if the forward route would be much longer.
• Halved the app size.
• Pick the Apple Maps app as your navigation app in Settings if you prefer it. Share a place from Apple Maps or Google Maps to TeCluster and guidance starts right away.

### 1.0.11 — 2026-09-18

• Temperatures can now be shown in Fahrenheit. Choose under Settings › Units › Temperature unit — 'Follow region' uses your iPhone's temperature setting automatically.
• Applies to cabin and outside temperature on the cluster and guidance screens, battery module temperature in My Car Info, and the after-blow description.
• The 'Distance units' menu in Settings is now 'Units', covering both distance and temperature.

### 1.0.10 — 2026-09-17

• A clearer first run. The sign-in screen now shows the three steps and the four permissions Tesla will ask for; after sign-in we check what was actually granted and only ask again for what is missing.
• Better guidance for pairing the vehicle key: a red X and "Cannot grant permission" in the Tesla app are normal, how to re-tap the key card, and how to get back to the app afterwards. Also fixed pairing not registering when a key had been removed in the Tesla app and added again.
• Every setup screen has a 'See the setup guide' link that opens the help for exactly that step.
• Settings › Tesla is now a single 'Link conditions' checklist. All green when everything is fine, with a fix button only under a line that isn't.
• Settings › Subscription shows days left and the renewal date, lets you switch between monthly and yearly, and opens subscription management. Fixed both plans showing as 'In use'.
• Fixed staying signed in after signing out or erasing data. Erase data now also removes this phone's Bluetooth key and opens Tesla's page for revoking the app's access.
• Apple Maps guidance follows the car's own route more closely.

### 1.0.9 — 2026-09-16

• Fixed guidance started from the car's navigation closing by itself after about a minute.
• Fixed speed cameras not appearing on the map — the one right ahead was dropped where it overlapped the car marker.
• Cleaner guidance screen: the car sits in the middle of the map and the speed-limit badge moved onto the cluster.
• Get back in during after-blow and it stops at once and restores your temperature.
• Less Bluetooth traffic with the car, so the car's key stops lagging. The now-playing track is no longer shown as a result.
• The places people get stuck are now answered inside the app: key registration, the Bluetooth key, missing dashboard values, picking up the car's destination, and after-blow.
• If that does not help you can write to us from inside the app, and our reply arrives in the app. Your screen status is sent along, so you do not have to explain it.
• You can enter a promo code on the subscription screen.
• Fixed a Preparing map notice that never went away where Apple Maps is used.
