Why does this pearl clutching fart of a game omit this word as if it’s a swear or trigger? I swear I could fart out a better app. **Developer response:** Sorry that FARTING ruined your experience. Hopefully you can get your fill of FARTING elsewhere! ### 3/5 — Ads *2026-01-04* Too many Ads that interrupt the game. You have to wait precious minutes of life for them to be over so one can continue. Big bummer! Waste of time. **Developer response:** There is an option to see no ads for a one-time in-app purchase! This was fine when I started playing earlier this year with maybe one of those ads a day but it seems with each month I’m expected to sit though more and more ads and now I’m lucky if it’s just 3 over the course of the days puzzles **Developer response:** We have to pay the bills and our employees. There is an option to purchase so that you don't see those ads! ### 4/5 — One Error Needs to Be Fixed *2025-11-15, version 1.4.0* Great game! However when you click Level Pack and start playing Design & Engineering, Level 5 (World Bridges) will freeze and I can’t play the level ### 2/5 — Frustrating App *2025-11-14* It’s a fun game but the app has glitches and that’s what made me delete it. There were a few days when I couldn’t play the “versus bot” and I don’t know why. I would click on it and the screen would just go black. To exit the app, I had to swipe up so many times because it would just not want to swipe up. I don’t have this issue with any other app. And then, if you want to watch an ad to shuffle letters, which there is now a limit where there wasn’t before, the ads don’t load half the time. My husband and I will be looking for a different game to play against each other. **Developer response:** We're so sorry to hear about the frustrating bugs. Add that to the ads needed to shuffle the board and the game is not enjoyable anymore. A few complaints, it’s missing some words, I also wish you could do 2 letter words like “of” and “or” and some of the words they count, aren’t real words or are archaic and sometimes it takes a while to load. And no, I’m not paying to remove them. Rather uninstalling it. ### 1/5 — Not worth it *2026-01-21* You can only play once a day, even with the pay subscription. Also, the little “smart quotes” are definitely bias or trying to persuade towards certain ideologies. Couldn’t we just make games without politics? **Developer response:** You can play as many times as you like! Check out the archives. Feel free to disable the quotes from TED Talks if you don't like them. That's an option in settings. ### 1/5 — TED? Really? *2025-11-30, version 1.5.0* 3 problems. This game locks on add-ons with no easy exit like an x in the corner. The amount of tracking I had to give my permission for made me very uncomfortable and yes I could opt out but then it took forever to work. Instructions on how to play it might have made it possible to enjoy. I can’t believe this was a TED thing. ### 1/5 — Very Middling Game *2025-09-04, version 1.2.1* Game is fine (middling but fine), but completely ruined by cringy quotes by out-of-touch industry leaders. The long, forced ads are as problematic as the 7.99 price tag for a very middling game. ### 2/5 — Unplayable *2026-08-05* I first played this game when it was on Netflix games, during that period of time there were no long duration ads, it was fun. Learn learned a lot of new words, had fun. Now it is genuinely unplayable unless you want to pay eight dollars. I wouldn’t mind it as much if it didn’t last a whole minute and a half before i can even play the game. I downloaded to support the amazing developers but it just seems like a game that forces you to pay. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t honor in app purchases *2026-03-24* Constantly makes you view ads even after purchasing **Developer response:** Hi there! The games work your brain without pressure. Each game is also fun while offering a challenge. The level of challenge is really self imposed. To top it off, even the free version is not inundated with ads. In fact, there are barely any. I think I may have one very short ad when I first start the game, but I don’t even think that is every time. TED has made a great name for themselves while encouraging the world to think, create, inspire, engage and educate and this game just adds to their list of accomplishments. ### 5/5 — The Best *2026-06-11, version 1.7.2* This is the Best word game, Ever - Without a doubt! ### 5/5 — Best word games *2026-05-14, version 1.7.2* I am on the top 20 leader board because I play it so often. No stupid ads with one off payment. Love the cute haptics and sounds. Like a high tech 9 letter. My pattern recognition skills are improving. The only game I really play (sorry Wordle, I’ll binge you again one day soon…) ### 5/5 — Still buggy ! *2026-02-08, version 1.7.1* App is not logging my score with the leaderboard for the game in play - actual score on the game is much higher than on the leaderboard. Leaderboard appears to finish one hour before the next game is available. Lost all my history! I am unable to see how I finished up on a game’s leaderboard unless I am literally watching it as it finishes. Get this right and you have got an absolute winner of an app! Unfortunately these issues are getting frustrating and threatening the loyalty of those of us that knew this game under Netflix.
