## What is Tek?

Take the photo. Skip the food log.

Tek turns a photo of your plate into named foods with calories, protein, carbs, and fat. Every number stays editable, because you know your meal better than any model. No photo handy? Describe the meal in a sentence or scan a barcode instead.

A BUDGET YOU CAN FOLLOW
Answer a few questions and Tek builds a daily calorie budget around your goal. Meals spend it down through the day, so one glance tells you where you stand. There is no exercise credit to game, and going over does not turn the app red. A rough day is information, not a verdict.

HONEST ABOUT ESTIMATES
A photo estimate is an estimate, and Tek treats it that way. Recognized foods are grounded in USDA FoodData Central when a reliable match exists, and barcodes pull label data from Open Food Facts. When the model cannot see something clearly, it asks instead of guessing quietly.

TRENDS OVER ONE BAD DAY
Weekly summaries and a smoothed weight trend show where things are actually going. Tek only suggests changing your budget after three weight check-ins across two weeks, never by more than 100 calories a day, and never applies a change without you.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
The diary lives on your iPhone. Export it as JSON or delete it whenever you like. Meal photos are removed after analysis finishes. An account is optional and only used for cloud backup and sync.

Photo and description analysis run on Tek Pro, an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly with a free trial on the yearly plan. Barcode scanning, manual logging, the diary, and trends are free.
