## What is Tekenbeet?

Ben je of zijn je kinderen regelmatig “in het groen”? Weet je wanneer teken actief zijn en hoe je een teek moet verwijderen? Hoe zien teken er ook alweer uit? Op deze en vele andere vragen geeft de app “Tekenbeet” antwoord.

De app bevat de volgende onderdelen:

• De teek: Hoe ziet een teek er uit en wat is zijn leefgebied? 
• Ziekte van Lyme: Korte uitleg over de ziekte van Lyme en de verschijnselen. 
• Controleren: Instructies hoe je jezelf op teken kunt controleren en wanneer je dat moet doen. 
• Verwijderen: Hoe verwijder je een teek? Bekijk het filmpje. 
• Tekenradar: Bekijk de actuele tekenactiviteit in Nederland. 
• Tekenalarm: Ontvang een berichtje wanneer de tekenactiviteit verandert. 
• Teek herkennen: Vergelijk een zelfgemaakte foto van een mogelijke teek met foto’s van teken. 
• Tekendagboek: Noteer je tekenbeet inclusief foto’s.

De informatie in deze app is gebaseerd op de voorlichtingscampagne over teken en Lyme van het Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (RIVM) en wordt ondersteund door diverse (natuur-)organisaties. 

De app bevat verschillende video's welke ook zonder internet verbinding te bekijken zijn. Dit maakt dat de downloadgrootte van de app groter is dan gemiddeld.
