The UI is good, but sometimes unreliable and overly complex for simple tasks you have to do often. Aside from the frequent and devastating technical bugs, this app has potential to be incredibly useful. Lots of thoughtful features that are poorly executed, but could easily be updated to be extremely helpful. ### 1/5 — Worst Auto CRM *2026-02-24* I think this has to be one of the worst CRM’s any dealer group could use. Always lags, NOT mobile or iPad friendly, leads do not update, and logging tasks either lag or NEVER log phone calls, texts, and emails Additionally, one of the most frustrating daily occurrences is drivers license and insurance not uploading onto a lead profile when submitted through the iPhone app. Truly one of the worst tools any auto dealer can use. VinSolutions and CDK are much better by MILES! Improve your product! ### 1/5 — Bad, in ways you’ve never even thought of *2026-02-23, version 2.0.98* Tekion is built by people who have no concept of what it’s like to work in a dealership. The system is finicky, fickle, and frankly. F}*%£D. ### 1/5 — Abysmal *2026-01-27, version 2.0.96* This software is horrible, over complicated and adds so many unnecessary steps. Not to mention it constantly goes down and has terrible server issues. I’ve been a tech for 6 years. I honestly would rather have to do paperwork by hand again. This is awful, CDK was so much better. If your shop also changed over to this, my condolences. ### 2/5 — IP restrictions, app and website bubs *2026-01-25* I like certain things in terms of how deal progress is followed and so forth but it’s not fully integrated or 100 yet. New IP address restrictions don’t allow me to log into the site by my phone, the app doesn’t let you do everything you can as if you were on a desktop, and the site doesn’t have the proper work flow for duos and doesn’t merge things all the time. Sale agents have issues checking in, and my as a BDC agent I can’t even set an appointment from my phone. Super frustrating & small stuff that can be fixed. ### 1/5 — Terrible CRM system *2026-01-14, version 2.0.96* I couldn’t imagine a worse CRM system and app. Totally rushed. They did not take the time to set this up functionally before running it through dealerships. I unfortunately work for a dealership that has adopted it. I hate this DMS, there is nothing at all user friendly about it … It was clearly programmed by people who have never worked in a service drive ### 3/5 — It’s good when it works *2025-11-19* App is nice to have in service for writing up. My main issue is no matter what you do, it almost never works the first time. Generally to check a customer in I have to hit the check in button and enter the info in anywhere from 2-10 times before I can resume the check in on my computer which causes delays and frustration occasionally. ### 1/5 — Unreliable garbage *2025-11-19* Everyone at my dealership continues to have repeated issues with the platform going down randomly, or features just straight up breaking. From the advisor side, sometimes pages won't load, photos won't upload, signatures won't save to create ROs, and recalls won't automatically pick up like they are supposed to. And from the technician side, sometimes I'm unable to search ROs by tag and have to type the last 8 of the vin, vehicle history is randomly unavailable, and the time logging forgets if I'm clocked in or not. It's a warranty nightmare. Avoid Tekion! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Horrible User Experience *2026-07-23* Every time I open the app, I need to do some pointless update that doesn’t make any changes. Whenever I want to open a picture from a text message, I have to separately download it to my phone and open it on an external link only if my phone has availability to download the file. Whenever I open the app, it logs me out and then ask me if I want to stay logged in just to log me out every single time I reopen the app. This is not user-friendly at all. ### 1/5 — Terrible! Everyday is a problem. *2026-06-30* Tekion have a really long way to go. They so focus on adding a million features, options and menu but execution of the app is terrible. Nothing loads properly, slow to respond, can’t mark as complete when a tech if finished with a job, tooo many restriction and the efficiency of tech has dropped soooo much. Techs are on their phone more than working on the cars or holding a tool. X-time perfected the MPI and service recommendations. Takes my tech 2minutes compared to the 30minutes with Tekion and I’m not exaggerating. Terrible app. I see why the 2 stars and bad reviews. I’m trying to convince our manager to stay away from this app. It’s not ready for the industry. ### 1/5 — Probably one of the worst apps in existence *2026-06-05, version 3.0.4* Trash app that hardly does anything you need it to. The trainers were not helpful, barely had enough information to do the basics of service advising. Now a month into it, all sorts of privilege issues that can not be resolved at the dealer ship level. Repair order Totals change with no reasoning, you have to go and search to see what happened. Customers hate the interface. The approvals column on the RO list simply does not work, so approvals get missed all the time. My list of grievances could go on and on. Hoping for change/ improvement . Expecting none. ### 1/5 — TRASH! AWFUL! THE WORST! VinSolutions BETTER! *2026-05-19, version 3.0.3* My dealership moved from VinSolutions to this and this is the biggest downgrade over the ancient VinSolutions. MY BIGGEST GRIPE IS HAVING TO LOG INTO THE APP EVERY TIME I WANT TO USE IT!!! WHY NO LIGHT MODE ON THE APP!!!?!??????? You need to be in the app for video uploads which takes forever. Tekion has one of the most modern and ambitious platforms in the automotive industry, but stands out most is the unified ecosystem. Having sales service parts, accounting, CRM and digital retailing integrated into a single cloud base platform creates opportunities for efficiency that traditional legacy system simply cannot match. The user interface is modern, Mobile, friendly, and significantly more intuitive for new employees compared to any other older dealership system. Tekion’s innovation pace is impressive. The platform continuously evolves with new features, workflow, enhancements, and integration that help helped dealerships improve. Customer experience in operational visibility. The ability to access data in real time across departments provide provides leadership teams with better insights for decision-making. Like any rapidly growing technology platform, there are opportunities for improvement. Stability and consistency or critical and dealership operations, and occasional system outages or feature changes can have a significant impact on day-to-day business. Communication around updates, issue, resolution timelines, and support responsiveness our areas where continued improvement would provide tremendous value to Dealer partners. Overall, Tekion represents the future dealership technology. Well no platform is perfect. It’s vision, innovation, and commitment to modernizing automotive retail. Make it one of the most promising solutions available today.
