You cannot see service history, or specs such as oil capacity and wheel torque specs. You also cannot edit a repair order that has been marked complete though the app, you have to go through the website to reopen and inspection. Although tekmetrics website can be a pain to use on mobile, don’t waste your time with the app ### 2/5 — Always error *2025-11-11, version 1.24.0* Always wants you to got out. End up useless. Get your pen and paper guys. ### 3/5 — Great App but I wish there was more… *2025-05-22* I like the app a lot for the techs. However owning an auto repair business I can't always have my computer right in front of me and being able to use the app to ad new customers, start repair orders, pretty much a lot of what I can do online and not on the app is what I would love to see on the app for owners or admins. We do a lot of mobile work, so being able to ad new cars and new jobs on the go would be very helpful. When I open tekmetric up on safari I constantly have to zoom out in order to use it online which drives me nuts. Its hard to use in a mobile setting. I love tekmetric, the program itself is great! We use it everyday and I love having options to use. I just wish the app had more so we could use it while on mobile diagnostics or new jobs and do everything right from the app. Hopefully soon! **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. We have a vision for the app to become a great tool for any role in the shop. While we started making it for Technicians, we're starting to work on features for Service Writers and Owners. DVI skips around. Unable to add media after initial media. Have been contacting support for weeks now about this they have no clue what’s going on just keep telling me to delete and reinstall. **Developer response:** Apologies for the poor app and support experience you have been experiencing. Can you please mention this and someone from our team will reach out to troubleshoot with you. ### 1/5 — Problem logging in *2025-01-04* I use tekmetric on google chrome on my IOS and it works great. I tried logging in on the app but it says that my password/email is incorrect or not valid. You can view RO’s categorically by Job Status, but you can not change an RO’s Job Status through the app. In my opinion, you’re better off using your mobile device’s web browser to access the website version. Hard no navigate and really there is nothing to navigate. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We hope that you give it another try and watch the app grow in capability. ### 2/5 — Add face login!!! *2024-10-29, version 1.5.2* At the very minimum I shouldn’t have to retype my entire email every time I want to login. Apple Face Login would be great! ### 2/5 — Good, but need more features.. *2024-10-21* The app is good for the most part, however a lot of functionality that is lacking on the app with seeing schedules, inventory, vendors, etc. An update with these features would definitely push this app up with more potential to have more users integrating to the mobile software. I personally run my tekmetric off of a computer so these issues aren’t present in my everyday work. However if I we are to implement this software and require our technicians to use this, for inspections is useful. But importantly doing inventory counts, audits and so forth, seeing the workload through set appointments. Being able to access employee hours, and daily numbers such as closing or seeing performance for improvements on sales would be such a huge asset to add to the app Allowing techs to see fluid types and quantities as well as technical information such as torque specs and such. I hope this helps on improving and is useful feedback! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Great app, needs minor improvements *2026-07-01* One star is the only way to get attention so here’s a shot in the dark. I actually love tekmetric, I use it every day, don’t plan on switching. On the mobile app I’d like to see at LEAST the customers phone number on the work order before I recommend it to anyone. You can see everything from the shop computer easily, but I think that not putting the customers number (or any customer look up utility) in the app was a major oversight. ### 1/5 — Useless for service writers and owners, mediocre for techs *2026-06-29* As the owner and service advisor I would love to be able to edit ROs, see prices, see the schedule, (this alone would be huge as I could schedule customers on the go without using the glitchy mobile web version) look at invoices etc. It essentially is just for techs and even then it is very limiting for them. After how long the app has been out, I had high hopes they would have added some useful features by now. ### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work *2026-04-07* Very easy to add pictures to inspections. Very frustrating to use. It’s hard to find RO’s. Doesn’t always update the RO. I just bookmark the website it works so much easier and faster. The App is harder to use should be the other way around ### 1/5 — Why? *2025-11-30, version 1.25.1* Why is the iPhone version so much worse than the Android one? Basically unusable compared to android. ### 1/5 — The app *2025-11-16* This is a horrible program it is slow at loading and is terrible for ppl that get efficiency bonuses you can be on entering the info and then walk away come back 2 minutes later and spend the next 15 minutes getting it to reload 🥴 then in figures out the time it thinks it should take you and is almost always off I don’t recommend this for anyone ### 1/5 — Kind of useless as the shop owner *2025-11-13* No scheduling option, no customer list, does not tell you any dollar amount for any jobs or estimates. What good does it do for me or my employees to say “hey John, your car is ready but the app won’t tell me your balance due” lol or “I have an estimate ready but couldn’t tell ya the cost, Mary!”. Would be nice to add those features or even make it a monthly subscription of like 10 dollars to get more features. Otherwise it’s totally useless for anyone managing or owning a shop. ### 1/5 — Not very robust and lacks continuity. *2025-10-16* It’s frustrating when you know you logged off a RO and 2 weeks later you find out it never paused the on and just keeps running time. There is no way to know which jobs your running time on. Their customer service takes forever to get back or on the chat line. Every time I’ve asked for something that Fullbay does naturally I find out from Tekmetrics, it’s not a feature. Pretty much every Tim you call and ask for information that is useful you’ll be told it’s not a feature and so what. ### 1/5 — Wasted *2025-08-01, version 1.20.0* Why make the app if it's gona be that bad ### 1/5 — HIRE BETTER DEVELOPERS *2025-05-21* This app breaks in a significant way everytime there is an update. Please do in house bug testing or hire better devs before releasing updates. Camera function is completely offline and I have signed out and in and uninstalled app and reinstalled. Did not happen until last update. Update before that the search feature broke. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback and apologies for the poor app experience. We're working to make the app great everyday. ### 1/5 — Website is better *2025-03-20* Pictures or videos taken in inspection disappear when uploading or fail to upload majority of the time. Text input in inspection deletes itself after saving randomly as well. Due to these issues, vehicle inspections take almost twice as long. Too much wasted time. My advice? I do wish there was an app for office staff that had more options. But what they have now does work great! ### 5/5 — Overall Excited *2025-10-16* Does it have its issues, yes. But there is potential to make this good for mechanics! - Make the customer concerns visible to techs - add admin controls ( Appointments, tech settings, etc) - Add more colors, the grey is killing me lol ### 5/5 — The most proactive, forward thinking software. *2025-08-28* I’ve used a few different auto shop interfaces- this is the first and perhaps the only one that is ambitiously trying to streamline your service process. You will feel like they are working to improve your business and make your life easier while making you more money. Other interfaces have slowed me down, frustrated me, and quite frankly- made good talent leave because they’re simply not flexible for a business that’s ever so evolving with a volatile process. Ever feel like “this business shouldn’t be so hard”? I agree. That’s what Tekmetrics does. It makes perfect sense of the chaos. It allows you to grow because suddenly you realize… you’re not as overwhelmed as you thought you were. You can handle more traffic in less time. Manage more employees than beforehand. I am so happy to have switched from Protractor (absolutely junk) to Tekmetric. Now with the latest update my technicians can perform the entire job using their smartphone. Our mission is to make life in the shop easier and are continually making improvements for you. ### 4/5 — Lots of great potential *2026-08-12, version 1.39.0* My shop has been using Tekmetric since 2022 and it has been an amazing tool. The mobile app makes things very convenient and easy. We’ve appreciated the continuous improvements and additions to the mobile app. One thing we’ve had the most trouble with is pictures. On iPhone and Android there’s significant lag when capturing photos, sometimes having to hold the phone in place for a few seconds so the picture is taken and saved. Hopefully this gets solved with bug fixes and performance improvements. Thanks for the effort you guys put into it. ### 4/5 — Canned Findings *2024-12-08* The canned finding need to auto-populate like they do on the web version. It’s very nice to type the first word of my finding and click rather than scroll other than that I am absolutely loving what you guys are doing with the app. Especially the fact that it saves after every change I make to the inspection.
