She also didn’t sound too happy to when I asked if it’d be much longer. Don’t usually mind waiting however this is just a pisstake! ### 3/5 — Waiting times *2024-09-21* Good app, use it a lot, but when it comes to the booking system it’s a mess. Booked a taxi for morning time yet only started to connect me to a driver 3 minutes before my booking time. ### 4/5 — Good servjce *2024-06-13, version 3.8.0* I use this taxi company often and most of the drivers are very nice and friendly with the odd 1 or 2 that are miserable and clearly don’t want to do the job. No taxi appeared, called back the number stated, no one answered, then tried the main number which wouldn’t connect me, so ended up stranded at midnight. Avoid! ### 1/5 — Great if they bother to turn up!! *2022-05-10, version 2.10.0* Went out on a Sunday evening, booked a cab on the app nice & early as Sunday is generally very busy. At the last minute (5 mins before pickup time) the app changed the status of my cab to cancelled. What use is this? I am partially disabled & this really was not helpful. My wife & niece managed to flag down a cab on the main road through Dundee & guess what company he worked for??? (Drum roll 🥁) Yes, Teletaxis!! They really need to pull their finger out & stop leaving customers who booked in plenty of time marooned in the middle of town 🤬🤬🤬 ### 1/5 — Don’t pay using the app *2022-02-13, version 2.10.0* Spoke to a driver in a bar I was in. Disgraceful that the company have outsourced the payments to taxi drivers. It takes three months for this outsourcing company to settle with the taxi drivers when you pay using the app. Tele Taxis don’t care about this. Also, the outsourcing company regularly shortchange the taxi drivers and they have to put in a claim to them. Again, Tele Taxis don’t care. This is so bad that drivers are refusing to accept payment via the app and want payment in cash or via card within the cab for good reason. Don’t support payment via the app. It is not only a rip-off for the taxi drivers but you’ll wait forever to be picked up as many drivers are ignoring this app payment system for good reason. Shame on you, Directors of Tele Taxis for not caring about your workers. ### 4/5 — Very good but difficult to tip? *2021-12-30, version 2.10.0* Really good service and app. But I can’t find a way to tip a good driver. I only seem to be able to setup a recurring tip in advance which is daft. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Shocking. *2025-07-06, version 3.15.0* We were at Doof in the park and left 50 minutes early so we could get a taxi. We walked a good bit away from the festival so there would be no issues for the taxi. The 1st taxi got taken off us as the driver took the first person they saw. Same with the second and then the 3rd. We walked over 4 miles home at 1am! The festival finished at 11pm and we left before then! It was absolutely freezing. The ONLY plus side to this was the operators were lovely but the taxi drivers who had us were ignorant. ### 1/5 — PREEBOOKINGS WILL FAIL *2025-03-07, version 3.14.0* Prebookings will only actually be assigned five minutes prior. Makes total sense when you’ve prebooked at a busy time when there are NO DRIVERS AVAILABLE. Just phone them instead ### 1/5 — Smelly app *2024-12-26, version 3.11.0* App stinks, never actually give you a taxi just let you wait on the buffering for ages but never actually give you a taxi. You could easily walk home quicker even if you live in up in Inverness ### 1/5 — Waiting times *2024-12-26, version 3.11.0* If I could rate this app 0 starts I would. First of all the people on that office do not care, there rude, disrespectful and have the worst attitude when it comes to it. Secondly if ur booking something you’d think it would come on time? Nope, booking a taxi verses just ordering one on the spot is the exact same. Will not look for a driver until 5 MINUTES before ur booking which makes it soooo pointless. Never in my life have I seen not only a mismanaged app but a mismanaged company ### 1/5 — Unfair cancellation charge *2024-12-14, version 3.11.0* Waited for a driver to be assigned for 25 mins after the required time. Gave up and was charged £3.00 for cancelling! How to make money for doing nothing. Pathetic. ### 1/5 — Worst thing ever *2024-08-04* If I could rank the app any lower I would, never have a driver book a taxi takes 20 mins for them to tell you they don’t have a diver and still charge you. Genuinely the worst run app I’ve ever seen, never trust it ### 1/5 — Does not work *2024-04-01, version 3.7.0* This App does not work on my Apple iPhone 13. It asked me for my phone number then after I entered this the App displayed a message: “sorry something went wrong, please try again”. This is as far as I get with it. Useless! ### 1/5 — Very aesthetic. Not the most practical *2024-03-24, version 3.2.1* App looks very well-made, but as they say - looks can be deceiving.. very much so in this case. I can’t even get past the phone number part “We’re sorry! Something went wrong. Please try again” oh I’ve tried again alright, about 45 times now. So I do the next best intuitive thing, I call them, with hopes of being met with a helpful and kind customer representative.. Only to be met with a robot, who’s as useless as the tiny “Gambling, be aware” banners. Internet absolutely fine. App updated. Phone modern and fine. With all the money the family has, you’d think a solid dev team and customer support would be among the priorities for this company. As to why entering a phone number to use the app is essential, whilst the system is neglected is beyond me. Startups with £10 to their name are able to manage to get simple sms verification nailed down ### 1/5 — Only if you are desperate and can simultaneously afford to not turn up at a set time *2024-03-02, version 3.2.1* Doesn’t give an estimate of wait despite having a feature for it. Often operates poorly, refuses to take bookings, doesn’t indicate business, and unpleasant phone operator if it does fail for long enough to need follow up. So far my wait record for the app to ‘designate a driver’ is 25 minutes. Before journey to arrival time. ### 1/5 — Bad app, bad customer service *2022-11-17, version 3.1.0* App doesn’t work properly have had to re download multiple times. Pre-booking doesn't work either. Booking went through fine but when it came to my time the app said waiting on driver, phoned up and was told it was going to be at least 20 minutes wait and when I asked why my pre booking wasn’t held for me I was rudely told I would have known this had I phoned up. I was then hung up on.
