Easy to use - simple but with enhanced features and best of all, most of the features don’t need you to subscribe! Makes a change in this day and age! So if you’re looking for an autocue style teleprompter, Teleprompter X is perfect! But as soon as I tried this new version, I suddenly realise how much better this is. The new app is easy to use and downloads text easily. There are many new key features that will help me in my business. The students prepared their text, then recorded their video presentations. Lots of control and really easy to use. I highly recommend for anyone presenting to camera who doesn’t have photographic memory. ### 5/5 — Simple to use, does exactly as promised *2024-06-04, version 1.3* I have had this app for years after getting it to give me the confidence to do my one and only public presentation. I had seen teleprompters used in West Wing so have spotted the used it the real world so I wanted one when I did my talk and while my actual presentation was average at least I knew what to say and when. I have just started at Uni after decades away from school so I know this will help in future, especially for the recorded bit I have to do so the new features look promising. If you ever wanted to use a teleprompter off your phone or tablet, you have found it. Take it from me—I have used several. This teleprompter app beats any I have ever seen—bar none. I downloaded it to my iPad, clicked through the screens confirming the free license, and opened it. Three days later, I was charged $29 for a yearly subscription. Disappointed, I considered contacting the developers but decided to warn fellow users instead. ### 1/5 — Scam or a mistake? *2024-11-07* I just downloaded the app and went through onboarding. I was charged $19.99/year starting Nov 9, 2024. Is this an honest mistake by the developer or a scam? I am contacting Apple to remove the charge and the app. **Developer response:** Hello! Contact us too and I'll make sure everything is put right ### 2/5 — Npt free as it says it is. *2024-11-07, version 1.7* Went to get a lifetime free upgrade and instead of that have a free trial for a week. I have now cancelled that. I deleted the app and tried again, same thing. It’s not an app I’d use often, but more to the point of it says it’s free it should be. I’m sure some people won’t check their subscription and be duped by the false advertising. ### 3/5 — New and Improved Teleprompter X *2024-06-23* I have to revise yet again my review that I initially wrote on June 9, 2024, and revised on June 18, because now, after almost two weeks, I have finally received a responsive e-mail from Mr. Matt Cowlin allowing me to upgrade the app that I downloaded on June 8, for the promised $1.99. The upgrade is, indeed, new and improved, but be ready for anything but quick responses from the developer. **Developer response:** Drop me an email today if you can and let me know what I can do to make this right, and I'll get it done :) ### 4/5 — A video marketing must-have *2024-06-26, version 1.5.7* I’m not sure I’d be able to do half my job without this app. I’ve recommended this to my whole team because we’re doing more and more video-based marketing content these days. All the functionality is straightforward, works a charm and delivers a great experience every time. Even our least ‘gadgety’ people find it easy to use. ### 4/5 — Works well for the simple things I do *2024-06-10* Teleprompter x has worked well for the simple things I do. It is a fully competent field prompter app, and has a lot of capability I haven’t even touched on yet. We’ll keep refining them so they’re even smoother and more customizable in future updates. ### 4/5 — Great improvements on this app from last version but… I would give it 3.5 stars *2024-06-04* Used the prior version of this app for years. It was a great stand alone prompter but was a little glitchy with fonts and speeds. It was also a little difficult to edit. This version is much better on those fronts. If you want to use it as a solid prompter for copy with a separate device for recording, this is a good bet and better than the 3 or 4 other apps I’ve used. If it was possible to rate it 3.5 stars right now, I would but I rounded up as it’s sold as an app for the prompter feature. I’m having difficulty with orientation and accessing camera on both the iPhone and iPad. Not sure if that will be resolved with an upgrade to premium or not. On the iPad, it’s not allowing me to adjust the orientation and goes to landscape when the camera is clearly in portrait mode and vice versa. Cannot be rectified on the version I’m using. It works better on phone but will not record. Maybe these are minor bugs with updates coming soon. 🤞 If you guys master the camera and sight line issue in this app and it can take audio from my wireless Bluetooth mics, you’ve got a slam dunk winner. General housekeeping so I don’t have to repeat the same thing again after 30 years. I’m just a tiny thing. I’m ready for my hoarse throat to get a Hank Williams, Jr sized break. When I was age 12 my dad took us all on yet another Weird Weird West road trip adventure through multiple states in a motorhome. We walked into a Denny’s for brunch. “Jacobs party of 4? Right this way, please.” After sitting in the horseshoe shaped booth looking for the picture of the food for my idea of what I thought was cruelty-free especially for this 12 year old. I was shocked to say the least when dad very low key pointed out that right across from us seated quite as a church mouse was Hank, Jr g Client onboarding now has better production quality on the welcome videos. The :30 custom audios for clients are great unexpected tools for peak performers like athletes, performers, musicians, speakers on some of the world’s biggest stages. Shaping what will be our history and culture. The chargers. The tip of the spear athletes and the ones nipping at their heels. I’m like “the gf experience” but I’m not a sex worker. I’m just kind of like that but it’s to further your calling and your cause. I’m extremely ill with an ultra rare genetic mutation with less than 100 known cases in the world. It’s pEDS or periodontal Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome.
